I Go to the High Seas for Fishing But Get Hunted by an Aircraft Carrier-Chapter 806: Scattered Signals
"In other words, if we want to know what he's up to, then we have to break through him, right?"
"Aside from that, there's no better solution."
"Can't we destroy some of the traps in there? If we break them, maybe we can use force to get in. Besides, we don't even know what kind of combat skills the people around are capable of. I think, with my abilities, dealing with them wouldn't be difficult."
"Brother Ye Chen, it's not that simple to solve this with force. Also, before we figure things out, we mustn't rashly act against these subordinates. So, we must find a breakthrough with Captain Yang, and only then can we know what they're conspiring about inside."
"Alright, from the looks of it now, we have no choice but to wait patiently. However, we don't know how much longer he'll be in there. If he stays in there indefinitely, are we supposed to keep waiting here endlessly?"
"I reckon it won't take long. I remember Captain Yang needs to report to work by 6 a.m. tomorrow. Regardless of the situation, he has never been late or left early all these years, according to his attendance records. Today shouldn't be an exception."
"Alright then, I hope everything goes according to our plan."
After saying this, he just nodded and continued to wait there.
About half an hour later, even Ye Chen felt his legs were getting numb, so he stood up to stretch a bit.
"Hey, look, the third one is moving now. Yeah, it's moving in their direction."
"Are you saying the triangle represents him, Captain Yang?"
"Exactly, it represents him. So, his coming out proves this event has ended. We need to hurry and head over there, confront him, and catch him immediately. Then, we'll take him away from here and interrogate him, and we should find out the truth."
"Alright, leave the rest to me."
Ye Chen had sensed it long enough. If he didn't get a chance to act, his resolve might falter. He hurried past, then hid their bodies on the other side of the road.
After waiting for about two to three minutes, he saw a man quietly approaching, moving very quickly. By the look of it, it seemed to be the Captain Yang they knew before.
Anying turned his head, and the two exchanged glances, confirming silently, before waiting patiently there.
Soon, the man walked toward them. Ye Chen seized the opportunity and suddenly stepped out, startling Captain Yang.
He never imagined there'd be anyone on the roadside. This area had been cleared and was supposed to be empty.
But when he saw Ye Chen in front of him, he was utterly shocked, though Ye Chen didn't give him any chance to react. He simply reached out, pulling him in directly.
"Ye, CEO Ye, how did you..."
Before Captain Yang could finish his sentence, Ye Chen wrapped his arm around him, pressing lightly on the back of his neck, causing him to close his mouth.
He still wanted to say something, but no sound came out.
Ye Chen knew this place was fraught with risks, so he wouldn't stay there long. Over-extended time here was not an option.
Finally, he led Captain Yang out of the area as quickly as possible.
When they reached the roadside, Ye Chen glanced back at Anying. No words were needed; a simple look made Anying understand his thoughts.
Anying took out a detection instrument, found scattered signal points in the previous area but saw no other signal distribution.
"Alright, this place is absolutely secure now."
After saying this, Ye Chen turned back and used two fingers to tap lightly at the same spot behind him twice.
Captain Yang coughed abruptly and then looked up at Ye Chen.
"CEO Ye, why are you here?"
"Alright, stop playing games with me. I thought you went home honestly tonight, but I never expected you stayed out here instead."
"You monitored me? You followed me?"
"Do I really need surveillance to handle you? Your every move is under my control. Fortunately, I didn't fully trust you. I knew you were hiding something. So, tell me, how many days have you been here?"
"CEO Ye, let me say this: the person I met today and what I did here has nothing to do with the Guo Group. It's just some personal business I wanted to resolve, so you needn't bother with it, alright?"
"Oh, saying there's no connection means it doesn't exist? How do I know what you're doing privately? Captain Yang, I've long suspected you're not honest in your dealings, even deceiving me all this time."
"And what makes you say that? How could I deceive you? I've told you everything you needed to know. Tell me, what haven't I disclosed to you?"
"I don't know about that. You mysteriously stayed in that noodle shop for almost four hours and then sneaked back to this abandoned factory for about half an hour. If my guess is correct, besides you, there should be four others, right?"
