At this moment, the four Aesir gods have become the gods of the New World, essentially bound to it.

The previous ones bound to the world were God King Odin and Queen of Heaven Freya, and the outcome was inevitable.

If the New World truly shatters, then they are doomed.

"It will, all glory shared, all harm shared, but I can't stop this process," Gu Shanhai thought, as he didn't have the energy to prevent such events.

For him, not only must he research and develop his own Dual-star Celestial Body, but he also needs to study the five books obtained from the previous instance, so naturally his energy is limited.

Basically, these four Aesir gods have already entered the countdown of their lives.

The New World is nothing but a faint hope, Gu Shanhai won't fully assert they will die, only the chance of survival is so low it's negligible.

Of course, without Gu Shanhai tampering with the New World through the Destructive Frost experiment during Fimbulwinter, survival rates would naturally be higher; now after being tampered with, they naturally decrease.

Because at that time, even if it collapses, this entire New World could inherit everything from the Nine Realms, becoming an independent world, even potentially the central world of the world community, revival would not be impossible.

But such things are only possible, at least in later generations, Gu Shanhai never saw an obvious central world in the Celestial Body World community.

Evidently it wasn't successful, or maybe it was but due to unknown reasons eventually it vanished.

Becoming the center world doesn't mean invincibility.

"Perhaps there is a solution."

"Like stripping them of their identity as gods?" Mimir was quite concerned about Vidar.

"Is it something I can strip just by declaring it, they have to be willing," Gu Shanhai retorted, Mimir was a bit naive.

"Besides, even if stripped, what should follow next, you can't help them forever, can you?"

"In my opinion, let them fend for themselves."

Gu Shanhai expressed, children and grandchildren have their own blessings, occasional help is acceptable, but helping them so much is just absurd.

When it came to the grandchildren's generation, Gu Shanhai was only responsible for education, fundamentally unconcerned with whether they succeeded in learning.

"I'll consider your opinion," Mimir didn't immediately agree but didn't oppose, feeling Gu Shanhai had a point, unable to decide.

"Let's leave it at that, I don't care," Gu Shanhai didn't bother with such matters.

Unless Vidar and others suddenly became valuable, the life or death of these four Aesir gods bore little relation to him.

Previously helping them was because there wasn't much conflict, Gu Shanhai was indifferent, now he has tasks, certainly no time to help.

In this scenario, helping is a favor, not helping is a duty.

Their conversation regarding the four Aesir gods thus ceased, quickly immersing themselves in intensive research.

...

"Vidar, it's excessively desolate here, everything shrouded in snow, far more terrifying than Fimbulwinter before," God of Gardening and Revenge, Wali, gazed at the vast whiteness, brushing away the wind and snow covering his face.

"At least it's better than a world engulfed in flames, life hides beneath the ice and snow, just waiting for the thaw, and everything will be restored," Vidar observed, heart heavy indeed, as he was the Forest God.

"Do you think Fimbulwinter can truly save the Nine Realms?" Wali was somewhat bewildered.

He and Vidar, along with Mandi and Modi, would go out to explore this new world during their shifts.

Through their exploration, they learned that before Fimbulwinter shrouded this place, it was indeed a thriving new world.

But after Fimbulwinter arrived, everything plunged into coldness.

The decay of life appeared before their eyes, rendering the outcome hard to accept, as if they were executioners themselves.

Of course, they weren't sentimental, just feeling a sense of melancholy since the Nine Realms were engulfed by flames and the New World covered in snow.

"It can, Mimir is the Wisdom Giant, he surely has solutions," Vidar lacked confidence as he spoke.

If Mimir had such vast wisdom, he would have long conspired with his father, Odin, to devise a solution to Ragnarok.

Yet now, not only was it unresolved, it had already happened, thus Wisdom Giant's wisdom was evidently limited, not boundless.

Their conversation leaned more towards encouraging each other than genuine inquiry, striving to fortify this resolve.

Soon they returned to the shelter, where warmth dispelled their cold.

After grabbing a bottle of strong liquor, they guzzled it down, with waves of heat quickly rising from their stomachs, invigorating their spirits instantly.

"What should we eat tonight?" Wali inquired of the guarding Mandi Modhi brothers.

In the shelter, resources were abundant, whether it was strong liquor or meat, all stacked in a large warehouse.

Gu Shanhai and Mimir usually didn't need to eat, of course, even without eating they could survive, being gods, yet their usual habits kept them drinking and eating heartily.

"Let's have stewed meat, adding a bit of fruits and vegetables," Modi stated outright.

The remaining three Aesir gods didn't object, not concerned about it.

Later, Mandi asked, "How's today's progress?"

The progress naturally referred to the exploration status.

"The situation is not optimistic, same as before, no animals and plants found yet that can survive Fimbulwinter after Gu's adjustments."

"We still need to reshape the whole world post-winter," Vidar said.

"That's truly distressing, but for freeing the Nine Realms from flames, these sacrifices are worthwhile," Mandi recognized the necessity.

The four of them thus chattered, Vidar and Wali sharing their day's discoveries, familiar topics mostly about the snow.

But if they didn't talk, it would appear very dull.

They needn't worry their chatting would affect the laboratory's work, aware of the excellent soundproofing, even hosting banquets, engaging in duels, wouldn't transmit sound.

Yet these were indeed their façades, none were heartless, confronted with such situations, impossible not to have inner thoughts.

Normally, after becoming new gods, they should have created a completely new civilization in the New World with the remaining two humans, having something to hold on to, they wouldn't have excessive thoughts, because being busy discards anything irrelevant, even worries.

Now, it's different, firstly, they are idle, secondly, there are no humans, not even female giants, Aesir, Vanir, they're all male, unable to reproduce.

This results in a lack of steadfast spiritual sustenance.

Exploring the new world shrouded by Fimbulwinter is a type of spiritual sustenance, but not entirely adequate, easily reminding them of the Nine Realms.

Vidar watched this scene, sighing inwardly, among them, he was the eldest in age and status, hence he could only lead by pretending to forget everything of the past.

This compelled him, known as the Silent God, to constantly liven up the atmosphere, no longer silent, simply hellish.

'Perhaps I should seek Mimir, to do something in this new world instead of remaining so decadent,' Vidar thought to himself.
