I Cast Forbidden Spells Until the World Breaks-Chapter 76: One Move Is All It Takes
Seeing Zayne pull that face, Garen completely lost it and charged at him again.
This time, Robert was prepared.
Before Garen could get close, he was slammed to the ground and pinned in place, unable to move.
"Garen! You still dare to attack? Do you really want to be disqualified?"
Robert shouted angrily.
"He made faces at me! He’s acting, all of it is an act!"
Garen roared hysterically, his eyes bloodshot.
Robert turned to look at Zayne in confusion.
All he saw was an innocent, bewildered expression, the kind that screamed honest and harmless at a glance.
"Enough."
Robert frowned deeply.
"How much longer are you going to keep making trouble, Garen?"
He then turned to the two awakened fighters holding Garen down.
"Watch him. Do not let him cause any more problems."
"Yes!"
The two nodded seriously and dragged Garen off to the side.
At that point, everything had nothing to do with Zayne anymore.
Thanks to Garen, Zayne and Eva were the first to step onto the teleportation array.
"I’m sorry. I dragged you into this."
Eva felt even more guilty. If not for her, Zayne would not have offended Garen or suffered such a serious injury before the dungeon even started.
Zayne leaned close to Eva and whispered,
"I injured myself. He was framed by me."
Eva’s big watery eyes widened in shock.
So Garen was innocent?
No wonder he was losing his mind.
Only now did she realize that the seemingly honest Zayne was far more devious than she had imagined.
As the teleportation light flickered, Zayne and Eva were transported into a completely new world.
The Champion Secret Realm was set inside a forest that was wrapped in thin mist. Every step felt like walking on clouds.
Ancient trees towered overhead. Birds chirped. Flowers bloomed.
It looked like a paradise.
But beneath that beauty lurked deadly danger.
The mist ahead suddenly churned.
A massive monster burst out, its ferocious face and razor sharp claws sending chills down the spine.
Hunger gleamed in its eyes as it lunged straight at Zayne and Eva.
"Careful. It’s a level 20 Gargoyle!"
Zayne was about to cast a Forbidden Spell when Eva shoved him aside.
She had too much strength and zero restraint. Zayne felt like his ribs were about to crack.
Eva planted herself in front of him.
Her muscles bulged violently, creating a shocking contrast with her cute face.
The Gargoyle let out a deafening roar.
Eva charged forward without hesitation, clashing head on with the monster.
Against Eva, the level 20 Gargoyle gained no advantage at all. Each punch sent stone fragments flying.
As time passed, its death was only a matter of time.
Just as the fight reached a critical point, dark clouds suddenly gathered overhead.
Blue lightning dragons twisted through the clouds like the wrath of the heavens.
Boom.
A massive bolt of lightning crashed down like a divine blade, striking the Gargoyle directly.
The level 20 monster was instantly blasted into a pile of shattered stone.
Eva covered her mouth in shock.
Instant kill?
A level 20 monster, one shot?
That was something only a level 25 or higher could usually pull off.
At the same time, a system notification rang in Eva’s mind.
Team kill. Level 20 Gargoyle defeated. Reward: 70 EXP.
She turned stiffly to look at Zayne behind her.
"You killed it? Why do you know lightning magic?"
Eva could not wrap her head around it.
"Because I’m a Forbidden Spellcaster."
Zayne did not bother hiding it.
"Forbidden Spellcaster? I thought you were a wood mage."
Eva muttered to herself.
The day Zayne summoned all those vines and tied her up, she assumed that was his specialty.
"Stop wasting time. Let’s move. We are heading deeper."
Zayne grabbed Eva and started dragging her toward the depths of the Secret Realm.
"Wait. The deeper we go, the stronger the monsters get. We’ll get killed if we rush in like this."
Eva panicked.
Normally, people cleared the outer areas first, leveled up a bit, then pushed inward.
Zayne went straight for the core.
As expected, they had not gone far when a shadow slowly rose ahead.
A massive monster emerged.
Its body was covered in nearly indestructible armor. Red light burned in its eyes.
Purple saliva dripped from its enormous mandibles.
The ground hissed and smoked where the saliva fell, clearly highly toxic.
Even the sky seemed to darken at its appearance, heavy clouds pressing low.
"Level 25 monster. Venom Giant Centipede."
Eva swallowed and stepped back.
This was nothing like the Gargoyle. This thing was deadly.
"Run. Now. We won’t make it otherwise." 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Eva grabbed Zayne and tried to flee.
Zayne remained calm.
He raised his hand slowly.
"Forbidden Spell. Worldbane Thunderfall."
The familiar lightning dragon returned.
A blue purple bolt slammed down from the sky.
The terrifying Venom Giant Centipede did not even have time to react.
It was blasted into a charred corpse, white lightning arcs still crackling across it.
The air filled with the thick smell of burnt protein.
"It’s dead?"
Eva felt her brain shutting down.
She clearly remembered fighting a level 22 monster before.
It took her and three teammates, perfect coordination, and every trick they had to barely win.
Now a level 25 monster was getting one shot?
"Stop spacing out. Move."
Zayne pulled Eva along.
What followed completely shattered Eva’s understanding of dungeon grinding.
A level 22 Poison Scorpion charged in. One lightning strike. Dead.
A level 25 Skeleton Shieldbearer rushed them. One lightning strike. Dead.
A level 28 Abyss Ratman tried to ambush from underground. Zayne formed a radiant golden spear and stabbed downward. Dead.
Instant kill.
No matter what monster appeared, Zayne ended it with a single move.
Eva was stunned.
She had never imagined dungeon farming could be this easy.
No kiting.
No studying weaknesses.
No dodging desperate death attacks.
Just cast one Forbidden Spell, leave, and move on.
Clean and brutal.
She did not even realize she had leveled up from 17 to 18.
"Wait. I get it now."
