I Can Recognize Everything, But the Information is Wrong-Chapter 30: What Huahua Lang Fears Is Not Hardship (Please Follow)
Tian Lin did not hesitate to put the ’inferior Body Refining Pill’ into his mouth, and saw the young merchant master pat his palm and laugh: "Good, from now on, I finally have a use for someone in hand."
Feeling the roiling of Qi and blood within his body, Tian Lin stood up and said to the young merchant master: "Please give me some time, young master, to deal with my second brother’s body."
"Alright!"
The young merchant master opened his fan with a ’whoosh’ and turned to leave.
As he left through the door, his voice drifted in from outside: "Actually, there are still six days before we need to transport the Heisha Stone into the sect. I’ll have Xiao Yue come find you after six days!"
After the young merchant master left, the tavern shopkeeper and his assistant came in.
Both had faces full of gloom, but neither dared to vent their anger on Tian Lin.
Hearing Tian Lin say: "The water in the fish pond is poisonous, please help me fetch a bucket of hot water, I need to take a good bath!"
The shopkeeper and his assistant waved their hands, and after the assistant went to fetch water, he asked Tian Lin: "Young hero, do you need our help with the bodies?"
"Please help me contact the owner of the coffin shop and prepare two good quality coffins for me."
After the shopkeeper left, Tian Lin used the tip of his foot to pick up the knife on the ground and began to practice the knife technique Da Liu had taught him in the courtyard.
He wielded the large knife in an impenetrable flurry, his whole body enshrouded in flashing knife light.
After half an hour, the assistant came into Tian Lin’s room carrying a bucket of hot water, but Tian Lin was still practicing with his knife.
Another half hour passed, and although the assistant had filled the bath with hot water, Tian Lin was still practicing with his knife.
Not until the shopkeeper returned did Tian Lin switch from practicing the knife to practicing his punches.
By the afternoon, as the sun began to set, Tian Lin finally dropped the knife to the ground and staggered towards the bathtub.
His entire body was oozing blood from his pores, and each step left a bloody footprint in the dirt.
The assistant, slightly horrified, said to the shopkeeper: "He must be heartbroken to the point of madness from his practice, who would ever train themselves to the point of bleeding all over?"
The shopkeeper glared at the assistant saying, "Haven’t you heard he’s about to enter the immortal gate? Mind your own business and get back to work!"
"You may all leave, I would like some quiet time to myself!"
Tian Lin’s weary voice came from the room, and neither the assistant nor the shopkeeper dared to linger.
The small courtyard fell silent for about an hour, until Tian Lin emerged from the house, looking refreshed.
His skin still looked somewhat dark, but his complexion was noticeably more delicate.
He first went to Old Zhang’s body and threw it into the fish pond.
Then he went to Da Liu’s side and also placed Da Liu’s body into the fish pond.
Looking at the blood on the ground, the two ’thugs’ and two corpses, Tian Lin didn’t know whether to cry or laugh.
So many have died for this damn Immortal Technique, he wondered if it was worth it or not!
Tian Lin held Old Zhang’s body and cleansed his remains in the fish pond.

He didn’t know whether the soul still existed in this world after death or if it could hear the living, but he still spoke to Old Zhang:
"You told me not to seek immortality, that I should go back, and I was actually inclined to agree."
"But now, the old man died, you and second brother have died. Even Manager Xu and Xiao Liu, whom I despised, died for this so-called Immortal Technique and the chance to enter the immortal gate."
"So many have died for this questionable Immortal Technique and the chance to enter the immortal gate. Although I am tired, I have no way out now."
"I want to cultivate, to see what the Cultivation World is truly like."
"I want to ascend to the heavens to see if there really is a Chang’e on the moon as you said."
He lifted the two cleaned corpses out of the fish pond and then dressed them in clean clothes before shouting: "Shopkeeper, help me with the funeral preparations."
Two coffins were pulled into the back gate on a cart, creaking loudly.
---
By the time the cart carrying the Heisha Stone entered the Yao Yue Sect’s Moon Pond Mountain Range, it had been three days since Tian Lin buried Old Zhang and Liu Er. Another five days had passed.
Tian Lin, still in his black Supervisor attire from the mine, rode on horseback, with a convoy of ox carts following behind and the young merchant master and Xiao Yue’s carriage in the front.
The carriage in front crushed fallen branches and leaves and finally stopped at a crossroads in the forest path.
The young merchant master emerged from the carriage, helping Xiao Yue down.
He then took a copper bell from around his waist; when he shook it in the wind, it produced a crisp ’ding-a-ling’, to which the calls of quails responded from the misty deep mountains.
Hearing the quail’s call, the young merchant master turned to the Mine Slaves driving the carts and said, "You can go back now."
The newly appointed Manager immediately ordered the Supervisors, "Stand in line right now, no one is allowed to fall out of line. We’re leaving for the mine!"
Shortly after the Mine Slaves left, Tian Lin saw a group of men with baskets on their backs running out of the misty woods.
The leading man steadied himself in front of the young merchant master and respectfully said, "Manager Merchant, Third Manager sent us to escort you up the mountain."
The young merchant master was noncommittal, simply pointing at Tian Lin beside him and telling the man, "This is my family retainer, he’s quite talented in martial arts. Remember to bring him along when you work in the mine in the future!"
The man turned to take a look at Tian Lin, not revealing his true impression.
But, out of respect for the young merchant master, he spoke warmly to Tian Lin: "Brother Tian, I am Han Li. Please give me your guidance in the future."
Tian Lin clasped his hands together and said, "In the future, I will still need Big Brother Han’s care."
"Alright, I’ve been away from the sect for a long time, I shouldn’t delay you any longer."
After saying this, the young master of the merchant family patted Tian Lin’s shoulder with a smile and said, "If you’re bullied in the Chores Courtyard, just go find your Sister Xiao Yue for help."
Tian Lin looked over at the girl named Xiao Yue, meeting her icy gaze.
After Xiao Yue and the young master went up the mountain, Han Li shouted to the servant disciples on both sides of the path:
"What are you standing around for? Unload the cart, load the cargo. Leave two people to lead the horses and drive the oxen, the rest will follow me up the mountain with the ore!"
With his final shout, the calling of the quails echoed one after another.
Soon, dozens of men with baskets on their backs and cloth bags in hand filled the baskets and bags with granular black sandstone from the carts.
These stones, weighing several hundred pounds, seemed as light as nothing in their hands.
Han Li took off a cloth bag from his waist and handed a strap to Tian Lin, saying, "Brother Tian, today is your first time up the mountain, so I’ll lend you this bag."
Tian Lin took the bag and, following Han Li, filled it to the brim. Luckily, he was already a first-rate expert; otherwise, even if he could carry the full bag of black sandstone, he wouldn’t be able to keep up with the pace of the other servant disciples upfront.
He saw those servant disciples carrying a basket on their back and holding two bags in hand, swiftly moving like flying between the trees.
Tian Lin closely followed behind Han Li and asked, "Are all the disciples in the Chores Courtyard Grandmasters like Big Brother Han?"
Han Li slowed his pace, smiling at Tian Lin, "The Chores Courtyard also has newcomers like you who have not yet reached the Grandmaster Level, but after spending a few more months here, you’ll eventually enter the Grandmaster Realm."
As they talked, a path emerged that was carved into the cliff and rose precipitously.
The servant disciples carried the black sandstone and climbed up the path, occasionally echoing the ’non-viable brother’ calls of quails.
Tian Lin noticed that although considered ’mine slaves’ like others, the ’mine slaves’ of the Yao Yue Sect seemed carefree, entirely different from those ’undead’ slaves in the merchant family’s mines.
The group, climbing rocks and walking along walls, finally rounded the shadowy side of the mountain.
A bell’s chime approached from afar, wafting through the dense forest and echoing amongst the mountains.
"Do you see that bell over there on the mountain? That’s our Yao Yue Sect’s ’Dao Seeking Bell’. When the bell rings, us disciples from the Chores Courtyard can rest."
Tian Lin followed the direction and saw a pavilion on the opposite mountain peak.
Under the pavilion hung a bell, and at a distant summit, someone could be vaguely seen holding a mallet, striking the bell.
"The Dao Seeking Bell is on Dao Seeking Mountain. Besides Dao Seeking Mountain, the main peak, and its subsidiaries are where the servant disciples from the Chores Courtyard live. However, each Courtyard has different living areas; we live in the mining school adjacent to Moon Pond Mountain."
"Lianshui Peak’s mining school is a good place, right next to Moon Pond Mountain, where the Spiritual Energy of water is most abundant. The young master arranged for you to enter the mining school, it seems he truly values you."
After finishing his words, Han Li quickened his pace, following the servant disciples downhill.
While Tian Lin hurriedly followed, his gaze turned towards Dao Seeking Mountain and the surrounding mountains.
He noticed that if Moon Pond Mountain was the main peak, then there were in total six subsidiary peaks surrounding it.
Besides Dao Seeking Mountain, each subsidiary peak had railing-style buildings built upon them.
Those living on the hillside were mostly Outer Disciples, while those inhabiting the foot of the mountain were all servant disciples.
The mining school to which Tian Lin was now heading was actually located at the foot of ’Lianshui Peak’, next to Moon Pond Mountain.
Here the mist lingered, and the vegetation was exceptionally lush.
Along the stilted buildings constructed on the mountain’s foot, servant disciples lived upstairs and downstairs, with clothes hanging out to dry everywhere.
Because it was close to the hanging waterfall of Moon Pond Mountain, the sound of the waterfall forced Han Li and Tian Lin to shout in conversation.
Han Li bellowed, "Follow me to put the stuff in the storeroom, someone will come to pick up the black sandstone tomorrow. Next to my room, there’s a sleeping spot, you can stay there for tonight, and we will start working early tomorrow morning."
"Where do we mine?"
Tian Lin shouted his question just to see Han Li pointing toward Moon Pond Mountain from the bamboo gallery:
"The suspended waterfall flowing down from the mountain waist makes the whole river filled with Water Spirit Ore. What we have to do is pan the Water Spirit Ore out of the river sand—anyway, we’ll talk about tomorrow’s work tomorrow!"
Tian Lin followed him and threw the black sandstone into a wooden house, facing those servant disciples who had returned before them.
Those servant disciples laughed and giggled, with someone greeting Han Li, "Brother Han, want to join us for a game of Bone Cards?"
Han Li frowned and said, "Did you enter the Yao Yue Sect to seek immortality, or just to indulge in food, drink, and leisure?"
But that person countered:
"How difficult it is to advance from a servant disciple to an Outer Disciple? We’ve suffered enough as Huahua Lang; now that we’ve finally entered the immortal gate, of course, we want to live as we please."
Han Li did not argue with the servant disciple. Instead, he sighed to Tian Lin as they left the storeroom:
"Most Huahua Lang travel thousands of miles and would rather die than enter the immortal gate. But once they’re in, they forget they were ever Huahua Lang when it comes to facing true opportunities of immortality."
He said to Tian Lin, "Hardships can temper a person’s will, but many are not knocked down by hardship; it’s the comfort that defeats them. They lose the will to seek immortality."
"Or perhaps, their aim in seeking immortality was just to indulge in pleasures. Now that they only have to work a few hours a day and can spend the rest indulging as they please, they’re too lazy to risk seeking immortality."
"So, you see, the real difficulty for Huahua Lang in seeking immortality is not entering the immortal gate. The challenge lies in—once inside—being unwilling to endure the hardships of seeking immortality."
"Brother Tian Lin, did you join the Yao Yue Sect in pursuit of immortality?"
