Chapter 381: Soul Transformation Realm

When the swarm tried to adapt by splitting, flanking and swarming from multiple vectors, she responded instantly, altering patterns, shifting angles and increasing output.

As the minutes passed, the corpses piled higher.

Ten thousand...

Twenty thousand...

The dead formed mounds, then hills, then choking walls of flesh and ichor. Dark blue blood coated the terrain in thick layers, steaming faintly where it met residual energy from her attacks.

Some bodies slid against the barrier around Victor, pressing against it, stacking so densely that the darkness sphere was nearly buried beneath.

Yet the swarm did not thin.

If anything, it grew more aggressive.

Eirene landed atop a mound of corpses and surveyed the field in a single glance. Her expression did not change. Her breathing was steady. Her posture remained straight and balanced.

The swarm swept out again and she leapt upward, twisting midair as darkness exploded outward from her being

An omnidirectional burst swept forth that erased everything within a hundred-meter radius. The shockwave pulverized bodies, scattering fragments across the battlefield like ash.

Meanwhile, Gojo’s loud roar spread across the surroundings.

The massive frost raptor was barely holding himself together now. His once-pristine white scales were cracked and stained with blood.

A lot gashes could be seen across his chest and wings. Frost clung unevenly to his body as his internal balance faltered.

Yet he still fought.

The colossal beast that had ambushed them circled again. It struck with precision now, having learned Gojo’s patterns and opened its mouth wide, shooting out a purple blast.

Gojo blinked.

Space folded as Victor’s Void Emperor technique activated instinctively through the bond, shifting Gojo several meters sideways just as a torrent of distorted energy blasted through where his head had been.

He retaliated with a frost-charged screech, unleashing a cone of freezing energy that coated the beast’s flank in crystalline ice. The beast shrieked as its flesh cracked but it did not retreat.

The creature swept around, whipping its tail through the air with terrifying speed. Gojo barely had time to react.

The impact struck his face.

The force sent him spiraling backward causing blood to spray from his maw as his massive body slammed toward the abyss. The ground crumbled beneath him as his talons scraped desperately against stone.

He caught himself... barely.

One claw sank into the rock at the edge as the rest of his body dangled over nothingness. The abyss below swallowed sound, light, and distance alike.

Gojo roared again in pain as he tried to pull himself up.

His muscles trembled.

The beast did not give him the chance.

It charged.

The impact rammed into Gojo’s body, pinning him against the edge. Talons dug into Gojo’s skull, piercing scales and drawing blood. The beast leaned forward while holding Gojo and forcing him closer and closer to the void.

If the talons sank fully in Gojo’s head, he would die.

Back at the center of the battlefield, Eirene felt a distortion brushed against the edge of her perception.

She turned towards the darkness cocoon surrounding Victor.

One of the swarm creatures had forced itself halfway through a weakened seam after relentless pressure. Others followed, clawing, gnawing and pushing their way inside as if drawn by instinct.

That was unacceptable.

Eirene moved.

She shot forward, detonating the ground beneath her as she crossed the distance in a blur. Darkness gathered around her arm, compressing into a blade-like arc as she prepared to erase everything in her path.

But the swarm reacted.

Thousands of smaller bodies suddenly converged midair, merging, compressing, collapsing into one another. Flesh twisted... limbs fused... and eyes multiplied.

A colossal form emerged like a grotesque living wall of black matter, becoming somewhat humanoid.

It intercepted her and the massive arm swung.

Bang!

The impact struck Eirene mid-flight and she was sent flying.

Her body smashed through multiple layers of piled corpses, carving a trench through the battlefield before slamming into the ground hundreds of meters away. The earth cracked beneath her.

She rose immediately but the delay had been enough.

Inside the cocoon, more creatures forced their way in.

Eirene felt it.

For the first time, her voice broke the silence.

"Master!"

The moment the first creature crossed fully into the cocoon of darkness—

The world changed.

A pressure suddenly erupted outward and everything within a one-mile radius was thrown away from the epicenter as if reality itself had been rejected.

Corpses vaporized and living creatures were flattened into nothingness. The colossal merged form disintegrated mid-motion as its mass was torn apart at a conceptual level.

The ground caved inward and the sky rippled.

Gojo and the massive beast were ripped apart from one another, both hurled away violently. The beast was flung backward with its body twisting unnaturally as it smashed into distant terrain. Gojo was torn free and crash into the abyss... falling uncontrollably due to his grievous injuries.

At the center... the darkness cocoon shattered and a pillar of presence rose.

Victor’s unconscious body hovered slightly above the ground with his white hair lifting as an overwhelming aura swept outward. The pressure was suffocating, ancient and absolute.

The breakthrough had reached its apex.

Even after seconds rolled by, the pressure did not fade.

It expanded.

Victor’s body hovered at the center of the devastation, suspended above fractured earth and pulverized stone as spiritual light poured out of him in layered waves.

Qi condensed around him like a second atmosphere, folding inward, compressing and transforming.

The Nascent Soul within him shattered.

It unfolded, stretched, and merged with his spiritual essence, dissolving the boundary between soul and self. His consciousness expanded outward, brushing against space itself, no longer confined to flesh alone.

A new realm.

A deeper authority.

The Soul Transformation Realm.

The moment the transformation completed, the heavens trembled as if reality itself acknowledged his ascent.

Victor’s eyes opened, emitting a silver-white light.

There was no confusion, no disorientation, no lingering instability. The breakthrough had been suppressed, refined, reinforced fourfold. What emerged was not a cultivator catching his breath but a predator already moving.

The first thing Victor felt was pain but this pain was not his own.

"Gojo..."
