I can expand my MAGIC ENDLESSLY?!-Chapter 42: After the Rankings
It had the same principle, of Golems aura. The very technique that had raised him to the heights of the mercenary king.
Kairos glanced at Nathan, still unable to comprehend how he had obtained it.
He had searched nearly the entire continent for anything similar and found nothing.
But then his gaze drifted to Darius. His thoughts calming down slightly.
’A completely new kingdom had appeared in this world. And then there was the matter of Bloodlock. I shouldn’t be shocked anymore’
’Nothing seemed impossible anymore. Kairos let out a deep sigh. All he could do now was grow stronger.
While on the other hand, Nathan stood quietly under everyone’s watchful eyes.
Gaining aura before the age of twenty was an achievement seen only among royal families and the most distinguished noble houses.
And this person already achieved it! No wonder he was ranked first in the class.
Nathan ignored the gazes around him, hiding his slightly shaking hand.
’This is...truly texting.’
What he had just used was the same aura technique the mercenary king Kairos had used in his previous life.
Back then, he had ignored the sword entirely. But seeing the display of the mercenary king before his death. This time, Nathan didn’t want to.
The technique he had just imitated was the very one used by the Mercenary King.
He could barely comprehend it. Truthfully, even imitating it once was already extraordinary.
’But this isn’t enough. I have to find him.’
Just by imitating the technique, he could already see the potential of its growth. And how much stronger he would be.
But there was a problem. Nathan had searched where he lived, at the Valdas kingdom.
Yet strangely, there was no one named after him. Even allies he had and the guilds he was part of.
None of them knew anyone named Kairos.
It was as if he had never existed at all in this world.
Many strange things were happening in the world, including an empire that didn’t exist before. And the new twisting situations among the kingdoms.
Many things were strange. Nathan’s eyes narrowed. He had to gather allies as fast as he could.
He had already failed once.
This time...
He had to see everything through. For the betterment of humanity’s advancement.
"Everyone, stay where you are. A screen will appear in front of you. "It’s interactive; select the one you want your guide to be," Professor Crowin spoke.
And slide his hand on the pillar’s interface.
Instantly, one by one, small blue square translucent screens appeared before them.
One of them also appeared in front of Kairos. Kairos gave a glance, understanding it.
The screen was pretty simple. It was divided into small squares, each square holding the information of the guide and what that person is good at. And what they can offer.
Guides were the people who guided one’s journey throughout the academy year. A personal mentor, to be precise.
There were four guides who were interested in him. He cast a quick glance over their names before his eyes landed on the last box.
He paused. "Wait...isn’t this him?"
He pondered for a moment, weighing his decision. Then, finally, he made his choice.
A small address appeared underneath it.
Ows city, The research unit. 5th alley. Glem Tower. Floor three, time 6 in the evening.
The research unit was a place fully dedicated to magic development and the place where all kinds of people gathered. A place where people rent magic research rooms. Also the place where guides teach their students.
He took a note of that before he swiped his hand, making the screen disappear.
Above, on the ceiling displaying the rankings, his name glowed green, signaling that he had successfully chosen his guide.
He glanced at Cartalia, whose name was also green. Indicating she chose someone to. He could only hope it’s not a creep or something.
Soon after a few minutes, one by one the names turned green before everyone successfully chose their guides.
Professor Crowin stepped forward, clapping his hands once to draw attention. "Very well. That concludes the selection of your guides. Everyone has made their choice. Now return to the class."
After a while everyone sat down, returning to take their seats. Many are still recounting what just happened at the training facility.
Professor Crowin stood behind the desk before speaking up. "Normally, after the rankings, your lessons would have started immediately," he said, glancing at the time.
"But for today, you are all dismissed. Your schedules, along with the starting times for your courses, will be posted on the notice board outside."
"Make sure to take a careful look. That is all, class dismissed."
With the professor, Corwin left the room. Instantly gossips started.
"Heh, he acted so tough, still lost like that."
"Serves him right."
Many taunted Darius. But Darius endured it all, staying calm before standing up and leaving the classroom.
He wasn’t the only one getting some attention. Nathan was too, including the Rosa.
They, after all, achieved the top ranks. Kairos nodded; he stood up, intending to go. He could finally visit the sigil library.
Eh, where are you going?" Teresa stopped him.
Kairos glanced at her, pausing for a moment. Having company wouldn’t be so bad.
"To the Sigil Library. Wanna come?"
"Oh, sure..." She paused, then stood up instantly. "Ah, I can’t. I have something important to do." She stepped aside, adding quickly, "Let’s go there some other time."
Kairos nodded. "That works too... but why is she in such a hurry?" he wondered.
But didn’t dwell on much. He has his own things to consider. He headed down before casting a glance at Cartalia.
They talked, at least. That’s a start, right? Pondering, he left the class.
Outside, A big board was placed. And students were gathering. And many of them were new faces.
He glanced at the side; there was another classroom not far from theirs. Classroom 1-A.
He could easily spot a few, as their temperaments were also quit polished. ’It was in the academy after all,’ he uttered.
He left heading for the sigil library. He already read the schedule from the book.
They have two types of classes: mentatory and auxiliary classes.
Mentatory being the advanced mana theories and practical combat. Four days a week. Two being mana theories and two being practical combat.
As for the auxiliary classes, students can take them any time they want. He wasn’t planning on taking any of them.
And soon after a while of walking, he stopped gazing ahead.
The sigil library of the renowned Owsdin Academy.
