Chapter 650: Something Unnatural! I

In the past, there was something unique that Achilles had done when he went against his enemies.

He had utilized spores or invisible particles to float through the atmosphere and into the bodies of his foes. They could take the form of Primordial Energy or Evolutius Energy that would flow in the bodies of his enemies without them suspecting anything. And through these particles, he could control them completely or choose to Assimilate them at a moment of his choosing.

Now, what just happened with this terrifying being who seemed even more powerful than an Absolute was that they performed the grand action of seeking them to bow their heads in respect. To give off a section of their Civilization to him as offering.

He took their Civilizational Authority akin to a sacrifice, keeping it inside his Existence where it would remain connected to its source. Anytime any of them made advancements in their Civilizations, he would benefit from this connection without lifting a finger.

A parasitic arrangement disguised as patronage.

Now, what if Achilles could do what he had done what seemed like days or weeks ago against his enemies to this monstrous being?

There were stories of the patient serpent that waited in grass for the perfect moment to strike. There was the idea of water that wore away stone not through force but through persistence. Of the principle of Wu Wei, of achieving victory through non-action until the moment when action became inevitable.

Of course, he knew that this was only a theory and that actual implementation might be extremely far away. If he tried anything right now, when the difference between the immensity of their Civilizations was so vast that comparison seemed meaningless, he would simply be inviting complete collapse to himself and Rose and everything else he held dear.

But he could be patient.

Patience was itself a form of cultivation. One had to love one’s fate, to acceptance the current circumstances as necessary steps toward eventual triumph. What seemed like defeat could be transformed into foundation through proper perspective.

He could learn more about the discrepancy of power between him and this being. He could continue to feed him whatever advancements he made from his partial Claim to Chaos. He could observe and study and plan while appearing to be nothing more than a compliant subject in the new hierarchy.

And when he closed the gap significantly enough to give him confidence to go against him...

...!

At this moment, Achilles was looking at The Oldest Sovereign of Binding Flames with gaze that betrayed nothing of the calculations churning beneath his stellar features.

And the Sovereign was looking at him and others with calm gaze that held satisfaction alongside assessment.

Neither side knowing what the other was truly thinking.

Although they had come with THE Resplendent Paradox and paid their respects, although their Civilizations had become bound and backing The Oldest Sovereign, the true nature of their submission remained hidden beneath surface compliance.

The Oldest Sovereign settled back into his massive throne.

"A brand new Chapter is beginning for this Observable Existence."

His words carried across the hall with weight that demanded absolute attention.

"There is so much that you all do not know, nor understand. You think that you are embarking on your grand Civilizations, that you have achieved something meaningful by reaching THE Civilizational Scale of Existence."

His burning eyes swept across every native THE entity present with something approaching pity.

"But you have not even touched the starting point of a true Civilization, which is the Absolute Depth. Everything below that is merely preparation, accumulation of resources for a journey you have not yet begun."

He raised his chained hand with gesture that encompassed the entirety of their Observable Existence. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

"There is far too much that you do not know. About the nature of advancement. About the barriers between Scales. About the beings who have transcended everything you believe to be the pinnacle of power."

His smile held something that might have been generosity in a being capable of such emotion.

"I will enlighten you. I will teach you what you need to know about Vakochev’s Scales of Existence, the framework that governs all advancement across existence. I will tell you stories about grand beings who have exceeded The First Scale of Existence entirely, who look upon Absolutes the way you look upon insects."

His burning gaze intensified.

"I will tell you what they understand regarding Civilizations, knowledge that has never been shared with beings at your level because none before you had the fortune to encounter someone willing to teach."

He leaned forward on his throne with posture that combined menace and magnanimity.

"I will be your teacher in these grand weavings of Existence. All you have to do is give for the sake of your teacher. Contribute to my advancement, and I will ensure you advance alongside me."

His focus narrowed.

"And the first thing to be done will actually involve you two."

At this point, he fixed his burning gaze fully upon THE Resplendent Paradox and Achilles with smile that held brutality beneath the surface calm.

"A quicker path across the Scales of Civilizations is accessed through the Keys of Civilizations."

His voice dropped to something heavier.

"But one would have to do something slightly unnatural to utilize them properly. The Keys do not simply unlock doors. They must be turned in specific ways, combined in specific configurations, activated through processes that go against the natural flow of Existence."

His chained fingers drummed against obsidian armrests with rhythm that felt almost hungry.

"And because The First Tongue is so damn hard to grasp, nearly impossible for any being below the Second Scale to wield, at least three Keys are needed to alter Observable Existence and usher in new possibilities."

His smile widened into something that made even THE Resplendent Paradox’s contradictory features settle into singular expression of concern.

"I can substitute for Existence through my Civilization of Unbound Existence. While you two can substitute for Chaos and Paradox."

...!

Something unnatural had to be done for a quicker path across the Scales of Civilization?

The words were heavy!

The hubris was too grand.

Achilles couldn’t help but frown internally with sense of foreboding that settled into his chest like cold stone.

What...unnatural thing did this entity have planned?

And more importantly, what would it cost those who were forced to participate?
