Chapter 642: Lucky

From the Crack of Observable Existence, a flicker of brilliance introduced what was coming before the form itself became visible.

Heat.

Scorching, impossible heat that radiated outward with intensity that made the surrounding fabric of reality recoil. It was as if something that had been burning for eons beyond counting finally found reprieve, steam releasing from surfaces too hot to touch. The steam alone carried enough destructive potential to harm even an entity at the Absolute Depth of THE Civilizational Scale of Existence.

And then the throne emerged.

It was massive beyond comprehension, thousands of miles in scope, obsidian in composition but ancient.

Carvings adorned its surface that depicted scenes from before Existence learned to differentiate, symbols that predated Chaos itself. The armrests were worn smooth from eons of use, and the back rose toward heights that seemed to pierce through dimensions rather than simply occupying space.

This was not a throne built for comfort.

This was a throne built for dominion!

And seated upon it was a titan.

Thousands of miles tall, his form matched the scale of his seat with proportions of authority rather than mere size. He was adorned in obsidian wrappings that shimmered with the light of Shattered Folds, fabric woven from the remnants of collapsed realities that had not survived whatever cataclysm he had endured.

But shockingly, on his hands and wrists were shackles and chains.

Broken shackles. Shattered chains. But shackles and chains nonetheless.

As if this entity was a prisoner.

As if something had contained him before his arrival here, and that containment had only recently failed.

The titan looked around with expression that held astonishment and euphoria in equal measure. His eyes, burning with light that matched the heat still radiating from his throne, swept across the Observable Existence he had entered with disbelief that he could not suppress.

He could not believe it.

Simply being here was outside his wildest dreams!

And truly, it should have been. Even someone of his caliber could not survive outside of what was Observable for long. The Undifferentiated expanse between realities was hostile to organized consciousness in ways that made the most dangerous regions of Observable Existence seem welcoming by comparison.

After his initial euphoria, the titan calmed.

His expression became serious as he looked at the broken chains binding his hands. He stroked the shattered links with smile that held satisfaction rather than joy, the gesture of someone who had finally escaped imprisonment that had lasted longer than most civilizations existed.

Then he waved his hand.

A vibrant multicolored glass globe materialized before him, its surface swirling with colors that matched the weavings of existence itself. It opened with motion that seemed almost gentle compared to the violence of his arrival.

The moment it did, terrifying auras erupted from within.

Before this entity and his massive throne, 36 beings emerged in obsidian rags and chains that matched their master’s attire. Each one radiated the aura of an Absolute, the highest stage of THE Civilizational Scale of Existence. Their forms varied wildly, some humanoid, others bestial, others impossibilities.

Behind them, 81 more beings emerged with auras that spoke of Fundamental Depth, the stage below Absolute but still beyond what most of Observable Existence had ever witnessed.

All of them wore shackles.

All of them looked around in shock and disbelief that mirrored what their master had displayed moments before.

The titan on the throne spoke with voice that carried across distances measured in concepts rather than miles.

"We have gotten fortunate beyond measure."

His voice held weight that demanded absolute attention.

"And fortune is all this is, for what has occurred should be impossible. We should have collapsed and perished under the unfathomable immensity of Undefinition, scattered across the expanse between Unobservable until nothing remained of what we once were."

His burning eyes swept across his assembled followers.

"And yet somehow, against all probability and reason, we have entered an Observable Existence."

He raised his chained hands as if presenting evidence of their miraculous survival.

"I do not sense any constraints binding us here. I feel weavings of Chaos spreading across this reality with saturation that suggests recent emergence rather than established presence. This Existence appears to be underdeveloped, barely possessing any Civilizations of note, with authority concentrations that would be considered pathetic in more established Existence."

His smile grew wider with each observation.

"Go across it carefully at first. Investigate its scope and composition. Determine whether it possesses any Primordial Realms worth claiming. Locate any realms of Differentiation and Undifferentiation that might exist. Identify who the strongest inhabitants of this place are, and assess." 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

The titan leaned forward on his throne with expression that combined anticipation and hunger in equal measure.

"If this Existence is what I believe it to be, if it is truly as undeveloped and vulnerable as my initial observations suggest, we may have struck a repository of opportunity beyond anything we could have engineered deliberately."

His voice dropped to something colder.

"I can return to THE Second Scale of Existence soon enough. And if such advancement is possible for me, I shall guide all of you along the same path. Our glory shall cover all Civilizations here and elevate them to heights they could never achieve alone."

His burning eyes blazed with intensity that promised violence beneath the magnanimous words.

"Whether they like it or not."

BOOM!

The declaration carried weight that made the surrounding reality tremble. His words turned menacing toward the end, the promise of elevation revealed as the threat of subjugation it truly was.

Looks of joy and euphoria spread across the faces of those he had unleashed from the multicolored globe. They looked toward their master with respect, gratitude for deliverance mixed with anticipation for conquest.

Their voices rose in synchronous affirmation.

"Understood, O Oldest Sovereign of Binding Flames!"

...!

And then the 36 Absolutes and 81 Fundamental Depth entities scattered across Observable Existence with speed that defied conventional measurement. They spread in all directions like seeds of conquest being sown across fertile ground, each one carrying the authority of their master’s ambitions into regions that had never faced threats of this magnitude.

The entity on the throne remained where he had arrived, massive form settling back against obsidian that had finally stopped releasing steam. He looked like someone given a new lease on existence after imprisonment that had stretched across eons of suffering.

His burning eyes gazed outward at the Observable Existence that had become his playground.

He had lost everything once before.

He had been chained and contained and cast into the space between Unobservable where even Absolutes could not long survive.

But he had endured.

And now, in this underdeveloped and vulnerable reality that Chaos had inadvertently revealed to him, he planned to take everything.

Every Civilization.

Every Primordial Realm.

Every fucking aspect of the Oldest Paradox that this stunted Existence contained.

All of it would become his!

And anyone who disagreed would learn why chains had been necessary to contain him in the first place!
