Chapter 628: Primordial! I

How the hell did Assimilating Corrupted Growths lead to Chaos?

Not even Chaos, but Primordial Chaos!

Achilles held on to Rose without letting go as he felt like her body was channeling an immense amount of Primordial Chaos that exceeded anything her Existence should be capable of containing. Her attraction of the Corrupted Growths had somehow tapped into the most chaotic aspect possible, drawing not just corruption but the fundamental disorder that predated differentiation itself.

And right now, he could barely see her.

Her eyes released billowing waves of obsidian Primordial Chaos that obscured her features. Her mouth had opened in silent scream, and from it emerged a beam of pure disorder that tore through reality around them with hunger that sought to unmake everything it touched.

Seeing her in this state, he locked the fuck in.

This was his woman.

His only woman.

Fucking nothing was going to happen to her!

HUUM!

He opened his Existence and imposed it in ways he had never done before, his Intermediate Depth pressing down on everything nearby with authority that refused to acknowledge limitations. Instantly, without worrying about Existential Corruption or any other consequences, he devoured every single ounce of chaos and wrongness all around him.

All the emerging waves of Primordial Chaos flooding the surrounding space were drawn into his being with speed that his Way had never achieved before.

He brought his entire body to embrace Rose, wrapping his arms around her violently trembling form as his mouth went toward her outstretched open mouth. He devoured the beam of Primordial Chaos shooting out from there, consuming disorder that would have collapsed any lesser being’s Existence entirely.

He consumed anything and everything.

The moment he fully came in contact with her, skin against skin and Existence pressing against Existence, he continued to consume the Primordial Chaos that sought to overcome her. His Way of Assimilation worked with desperate efficiency, drawing the infinite disorder into his foundations where his Corruption Resistance struggled to contain it.

He did so until he felt a sense of stability.

A sense of equilibrium between them.

The Primordial Chaos stopped trying to tear Rose apart and instead settled into something approaching balance, distributed between two Existences rather than overwhelming one.

At such a point...

BOOM!

A flash of obsidian Chaos pulsed between the two of them with force that shattered the barriers around their domain entirely. Reality itself seemed to reject their presence, and they both disappeared from the Sea of Thalassara without warning or transition!

In the area where they had been, everything resumed with eerie calm that contrasted sharply with the violence that had just occurred. But in the surrounding miles, the waters of Thalassara stayed far away as if they were afraid, currents that should have flowed naturally instead curving around a region that even the Sea didn’t want to approach.

Moments later, the auras of the Adrastia Emperor Kings appeared one after another as they arrived at the location where they had sensed the disturbance. Thalsian came first, followed by Adras, followed by the other resurrected patriarchs who had been familiarizing themselves with their new power.

They looked at the area where Achilles and Rose used to be.

Their gazes were ashen.

They wondered what had just happened.

They had felt such a heart-shaking aura that even they, newly elevated to THE distinction, had felt afraid. Their Existences had not even felt capable of moving toward this area until that sensation of oppressiveness left, primal terror overriding conscious thought.

And alongside the departure of that pressure, they couldn’t sense anything related to Achilles and Rose.

Not a trace. Not a hint. Not the faintest echo of their presence anywhere in perceivable reality.

...!

A heavy silence flooded this entire area as the Adrastia Emperor Kings looked at each other with expressions that held fear they couldn’t suppress.

Their greatest descendant and Rose had vanished.

And they had no idea where to even begin searching!

---

An unknown domain away, an unknown time.

Achilles barely kept the faculty of his Existence intact as he held Rose close, their figures smashing across reality like meteors that had been thrown by forces beyond comprehension. They tumbled through spaces that shouldn’t exist, through regions that defied the logic of Observable Existence, until finally they smashed into obsidian earth with impact that should have destroyed them both.

The ground cracked beneath them in patterns that spread for miles, their arrival announced to whatever inhabited this place with violence that couldn’t be concealed.

Achilles instantly looked around with perception that struggled to process what it observed.

He found immense and heavy concentrations of Primordial Chaos.

In the ground. In the air. Everywhere.

The very atmosphere was saturated with disorder so fundamental that breathing it in felt like inhaling chaos itself. The earth beneath them pulsed with Chaos that had been compressed into solid form, obsidian surface that contained turbulence that would have unmade lesser realms entirely.

The sky above, if it could be called a sky, swirled with patterns that contradicted each other constantly, order and disorder dancing in configurations that his mind refused to fully process.

He ignored this for now and checked on Rose.

She lay in his arms with eyes that had returned to their normal copper-green, the obsidian possession having faded once the equilibrium between them was established. She was groggy and waking up slowly, her Existence recovering from having channeled forces that no Surface Depth entity should be capable of touching.

She would be okay.

That was what mattered most.

In the next moment, weavings of Existence flooded into him from all around as if the place itself chose to explain where they had arrived. The information transformed into prompts that bloomed before his awareness with weight that demanded attention.

Location Identified

During the chaotic moments of differentiation, when the weavings that would become Observable Existence were still spreading their influence across forming reality, something unprecedented occurred.

One of the primordial formations developed a unique property.

It was perfectly ordered. Perfectly still.

When Primordial Chaos touched this formation, instead of permeating through it and continuing outward to fertilize the rest of Observable Existence, the Chaos was absorbed.

Contained.

Imprisoned within it.

You have arrived in this Distorted Primordial Realm known as Apatheia.

The Unmoved Domain.

A Primordial Realm that achieved perfect stillness by swallowing Primordial turbulence and refusing to release it, an action that has caused true Primordial Chaos to never truly spread across Observable Existence, resulting in unique and undefined weavings permeating across Existence.

Warning: The concentration of Primordial Chaos in this realm exceeds anything found in Observable Existence by orders of magnitude.

Extended exposure without sufficient protection may result in Existential dissolution, unless you are a local.

...!

What?

Achilles went through the waves of information with astonishment and somberness that made his features grow heavy.

They had been transported to a Primordial Realm? A domain that had formed during the very beginning of reality?!
