Chapter 601: Emergence of Civilizations! I

Efficiency, at its greatest, is not the art of doing more things in less time.

It is the art of doing the right things at the right moments with such precision that effort becomes indistinguishable from inevitability! The river does not struggle to reach the ocean. It simply flows, and in that flowing accomplishes what force alone could never achieve.

The most efficient action is often the one that appears effortless!

When efficiency reaches its apex, the distinction between actor and action dissolves entirely. There is no longer someone doing something. There is only the something being done, as natural and necessary as gravity pulling objects toward each other across the void.

---

In the remnant lands of the Sacred Holy Land of Alchemy, Achilles was moving with ridiculous efficiency as multiple streams of consciousness operated simultaneously across different bodies and different objectives.

At this time, the scene before him represented triumph that should have taken eons to achieve.

THE Endless Dream sat upon her throne of silver-gold sandy brilliance, but her body was no longer illusory. She had materialized fully into physical form that radiated presence which pressed against reality with weight that only fully realized THE entities could achieve.

In the distance, Cyna and the Firstborns of Dreams looked ahead with shock and fervor at their Master!

Her physical characteristics shimmered with silver-gold sandy light that seemed to flow across her skin like living substance. Her feline features had sharpened into something more defined, more real, more present than any manifestation could ever achieve. Her jeweled eyes blazed with Depth that she had not possessed since before the Age of Collapse, and her hair moved with currents that existed only in the realm of Dreams rather than physical wind.

At this moment, she was no longer collapsed.

Grand prompts rose before Achilles’s awareness with information that confirmed what his senses already told him.

Derivative Civilization Status Update

Under your Civilization of Assimilation, a Derivative Civilization of Dreams has been fully born.

THE Endless Dream has achieved complete restoration of her Collapsed status.

Her Way of Dreams now operates under the umbrella of your Way of Assimilation.

As her encompassing Civilization, you feed off the Depth of Dreams.

Your own Depth rises marginally with each Civilization that comes under your authority.

Current Derivative Civilizations: Dreams (Fully Restored), Life (Budding), Necrocracy (Budding), Alchemy (Budding)

Note: The more Civilizations that operate under your Way, the greater your cumulative Depth becomes.

Achilles looked at these prompts calmly as satisfaction settled into his consciousness. This was exactly what he had envisioned when he offered Eyyanah the throne. Every Civilization that joined his would strengthen the whole, creating structure where his power grew alongside those he elevated rather than at their expense!

"Congratulations," he said.

Eyyanah couldn’t seem to find adequate words as she sat upon her throne with expression that shifted through emotions too complex to name. Her mouth opened and closed several times before she finally managed to speak.

"Thank you. Really."

The words were simple but carried sincerity.

"You wanted a backer," she continued, her jeweled eyes blazing with conviction. "You have me as your full backer. Dreams are powerful as I have my own, but the Dreams of others..." She paused, seeming to search for proper way to express what she meant.

"I know the dreams of those truly grand can be unlike anything the rest of us imagine. So whatever dream you have, whatever vision drives you forward through impossible obstacles, just let me know, and I will help you in any way to achieve this."

...!

Achilles nodded at such words with appreciation. But before he could reply with his own assurances, his expression shifted into frown that made Eyyanah’s newly restored features tense with concern.

He felt the Civilizational authorities of Necrocracy, Life, and Alchemy buzzing within his existence as if the Civilizations they were connected to were elevating rapidly.

His expression changed from frown to something more sour as implications settled in.

Rose blinked on her throne of Alchemy as if she also sensed something through her connection to the Civilizational Authority she was working to claim. Her fiery green eyes narrowed with focus.

Eyyanah looked at both of them with concern painting her restored features. "What is it?"

Achilles’s reply emerged with urgency that contrasted sharply with his earlier calm. "THE Corpse Hierophant and others seem to be doing something. Their Civilizations seem to be strengthening rapidly, as if they have found source of power that is accelerating their recovery..."

His purple-gold eyes blazed with calculation. "If this continues, they will likely undergo full emergence like you and no longer be collapsed. I thought I was moving fast but we have to be even faster."

He turned his full attention toward Eyyanah.

"You know where the main Sacred Holy Lands of Alchemy are? If you can send two of your bodies with equal Depth to each of those locations, I will send my bodies to all the Sacred Holy Lands of Necrocracy and Life that I know from consumed memories." His voice carried weight of command that pressed against reality around them.

"We have to stop whatever they are doing, or at least disrupt their progress. If their Civilizations are fully revived, it might make things slightly more difficult. I don’t like too many unknowns."

He paused, acknowledging the difficulty of what he was asking.

"You just regained your power, but we have to move quickly."

Eyyanah was astonished at the request coming so soon after her restoration, but she nodded seriously without hesitation.

"It is the least I can do."

Achilles nodded. "Go."

Then he floated toward Rose on her throne of copper-green luminescence, his figure moving with grace that belied the weight now pressing against reality around him. He wrapped his hand gently around her neck and brought his forehead to rest against hers.

She smiled with vibrant flaming green eyes that held no fear or hesitation about what was coming. "Go. I will continue trying to build my Depth here. Whether I take the Civilization of Alchemy while its collapsed or very much not collapsed doesn’t matter." Her smile widened with fierce confidence. "So long as you gift it to me."

...!

A Civilization as a gift for his girl.

It was a ridiculous thing to even consider, authority over fundamental aspects of reality offered as present to the woman he loved. And yet it felt entirely natural, entirely appropriate, entirely inevitable!

Achilles nodded seriously before he disappeared in the next moment.

He went toward the core areas he knew from the memories of THE Corpse Hierophant, sending multiple Constellation Dream Bodies across vast distances of Shattered Folds with speed that only his newly achieved Depth could accomplish!

Each body carried his full authority, his complete will, his absolute determination to see what this being and others had done to accelerate their recovery so dramatically.

Whatever they had found, he intended to either claim it for himself or ensure they could not benefit from it further.

Efficiency demanded nothing less!
