I Can Assimilate Everything-Chapter 591: Glory! IV
The sound echoed through the fallen citadel with genuine delight that bordered on hysteria, because the absurdity of what he’d just accomplished defied rational response. He had stumbled upon what THE entities had been desperately seeking since a being far beyond their comprehension had abandoned them with cryptic advice about figuring things out for themselves.
This was what THE Resplendent Paradox had grasped and tried to explain to her juniors before departing toward whatever fate awaited her.
He shook his head at this surreal sensation, still processing implications that would take considerable time to fully understand. But there was no time for extended contemplation, not with THE Sovereign Catalyst drawing closer.
Achilles turned toward Rose and told her gently while squeezing her hand with reassurance.
"Hang tight. I’m gonna disappear for just a little bit."
...!
Her eyes widened at such terrifying words, but before she could protest or demand explanation, he turned his gaze toward the manifestation of THE Sovereign Catalyst.
The collapsed leader of Alchemy seemed on high alert now, his liquid-metal form rippling with defensive configurations as instincts honed across eons screamed warnings about the small figure who had just claimed to have found The First Tongue.
Achilles smiled with an expression that made THE Sovereign Catalyst tense further.
"Hey big guy, you know about Principles, right?"
The question was casual, conversational, completely inappropriate given the circumstances.
"The unique thing about them is how they permeate across Existence. They’re not localized to specific regions or bound to particular entities. They simply exist everywhere that their truths apply."
His eyes turned predatory.
"If they do so..."
Right. Principles permeated across Existence. They weren’t contained or limited...they were fundamental aspects of reality that existed wherever reality existed. And since he had Assimilated one, his distinction of Anomalous Existential Principle allowed him to...
POP!
Disappear.
His figure simply ceased to be present in any way that THE Sovereign Catalyst or THE Endless Dream could perceive him as an entity l. One moment he was floating there with that predatory smile, and the next moment he was gone without trace or trail or any indication of where he might have gone.
In the eyes of THE entities, they saw waves and strings that made up reality, and they saw the weavings of Grand Principles and even some Singularity Principles in the surroundings.
But no sign of Achilles!
Both THE entities couldn’t sense him anywhere. Their perception stretched across the Sacred Holy Land searching desperately for any hint of his presence, but he had vanished so completely that it was as if he had never existed at all.
The heart of THE Sovereign Catalyst palpitated with sudden fear that beings of his level rarely experienced.
In the next moment, THE Sovereign Catalyst felt a sense of trepidation bloom in his core as if his very Existence was warning him of approaching danger. The sensation intensified rapidly, instincts screaming that something terrible was about to occur.
And then the sensation turned into horror.
Just like THE Corpse Hierophant before him, THE Sovereign Catalyst felt something impossible happening to his manifested form. His liquid-metal features twisted into expression of absolute shock as he roared out with denial that reality itself seemed to reject.
"NO! THIS CANNOT-"
WAP!
His figure disappeared into the folds of Existence, consumed by force that should not have been able to threaten a manifestation of THE regardless of how diminished his current state might be.
...!
He disappeared.
An immense sense of shock permeated all around as the Sacred Holy Land processed what had just occurred. Two THE entities had now been consumed by the same impossible creature in the span of minutes.
Meters away from where THE Sovereign Catalyst used to be, Achilles manifested from the surrounding space as if he had been a part of it.
And a moment before, he had been a part of it.
In the form of a Principle, he had traveled through Existence itself rather than moving through space conventionally. He had gotten near his target without being detectable by any conventional or cosmic sense, and then he had Assimilated another manifestation of a THE entity with the same impossible efficiency he’d demonstrated against THE Corpse Hierophant. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
After completing this second consumption of power that should have been far beyond his reach, Achilles couldn’t help but throw his head back and laugh with genuine joy that echoed through the citadel.
Because the fucking possibilities were now endless.
Two THE manifestations consumed. Two sets of memories and authorities integrating into his being. Access to Principles. The beginning of understanding regarding The First Tongue that even THE Resplendent Paradox had considered nearly impossible to teach.
It was a terrifying reality to be living in as he absolutely had no business being here right now!
He was a wee little weak thing days ago who couldnt even dream of Pre-THE, much less being able to approach Manifestations of THE Entities and assimilating them!
They thought he disappeared, but he only became a Principle that THE Entities could already percieve and observe.
But if he could do this...
If the entities at the level of THE that he came across remained at THE Surface Depth and only had basal perception to recognize and percieve Principles while not being able to sense him as a Principle...could he not traverse across the Shattered Folds while Assimilating Principles and then get near THE Entities to assimilate them too?
Because what the fuck could they do?
Unless they could see the future, or their Depth of Absolute Sovereignty was ridiculous enough, or if they had power similat to THE Resplendent Paradox, he would absolutely stay far away.
But at this moment, in this landscape of Collapsed Civilizations...he might just be able to fuck everything up for THE Corpse Hierophant and others?
"...."
He had such a thought as he ignored the Prompts that detailed his assimilation of THE Sovereign Catalyst.
He focused on the memories of this being and THE Corpse Hierophant as he floated back towards Rose and looked towards the astonished Endless Dream who seemed to be looking at him with hesitation.
Achilles smiled towards her as he spoke.
"Why such a look between friends? I like to eat, but I don’t eat friends. This won’t change, O Endless Dream."
...!
