I Became the Villain's Trainer-Chapter 94
Chapter 94
“What did you do?”
Terrun sharply asked. Watching Ysildus deliberately let Alexa go, Terrun clicked his tongue in disapproval. No one, not even a wolf, could outfox Ysildus when it came to cunning. Terrun crossed his arms and glared at him.
“I didn’t do anything,” Ysildus said, casually, almost lazily.
“Then what did you say?”
“I didn’t say a word. It was Alexa who did the talking.”
Ysildus stared at Terrun with his cool blue eyes, a mix of malice and indifference. Terrun clicked his tongue again. Lies.
Terrun would bet his beautiful fur and sharp claws that it was a lie. Even if Alexa had spoken, the situation had undoubtedly been orchestrated by none other than Ysildus. He was a natural at manipulating events. Terrun glared at Ysildus once again.
“Don’t torment Alexa.”
“Ridiculous. I would never do anything to cause her distress, Terrun.”
Ysildus smiled serenely, a smile far too knowing for a 15-year-old. Terrun, feeling an odd chill, reflexively drew back his arm. How could a wolf as gentle as Essellia give birth to a creature like this? Ah, of course. It was Carlisle’s doing. Carlisle was why someone as dangerous as Ysildus was born. Terrun took a step back from him.
“I merely rendered the contract void.”
“…That’s actually a good thing.”
The contract in question, the one stipulating that Alexa leave Thersion Castle, was an ominous matter even for Terrun. Alexa’s reaction was suspicious, though.
Relaxing his guard, Terrun stepped forward, only for Ysildus to seize his wrist. It was as if some thug had grabbed him, and Terrun, alarmed, tried to shake him off. But it was to no avail.
“What do you think you’re doing?”
“Terrun, it seems we have a common enemy now.”

Ysildus gestured toward the direction where Alexa had vanished, pointing out a blonde man walking away. There was only one human with that hair in Thersion Castle: Imperial Prince Jeremiah. The other humans had been restricted in their movements and weren’t permitted to come and go freely from the main castle. For some reason, Essellia had granted the Imperial Prince permission to roam.
Not only had Imperial Prince Jeremiah been allowed to stay, but he now acted as though Thersion Castle were his own. Essellia had only asked one thing of him: to participate in dance lessons. Yet there he was, showing more than a passing interest in Alexa, circling around her like a moth to a flame. Ysildus’ lips curled into a wicked smile.
“What do you think?”
Terrun, following Ysildus’ gaze, bared his teeth. It wasn’t the time to be turning their claws on each other. Alexa was human, and so was that arrogant prince. It wouldn’t be surprising if they grew closer.
“Shall I kill him?”
Terrun bared his raw instincts.
“That would alert Alexa, Terrun. It wouldn’t be the right choice.”
Ysildus laughed softly, though his eyes conveyed a message akin to, ‘What a foolish bear you are’.
Terrun glared, dissatisfied.
“What’s your plan, then?”
“We send that prince back to the palace.”
“And the Emperor? He won’t sit idly by.”
“Then we eliminate the Emperor, Terrun. That’s something Alexa wouldn’t notice.”
A cruel gleam appeared in Ysildus’ blue eyes – a sign of the wolf’s true nature. As long as Alexa didn’t find out, nothing else mattered. It was almost pitiful that Alexa still thought of Ysildus as a harmless little wolf. Terrun agreed.
“Fine. As long as Alexa doesn’t find out.”
“Exactly. Alexa knows nothing about the Emperor. She’ll be upset if anything happens to that Prince, but the Emperor? Not at all.”
Their eyes met. At that moment, a mutual alliance was formed. Ysildus patted Terrun on the shoulder.
“Just until the Imperial Prince leaves.”
Terrun grumbled in discontent. Ysildus smiled and nodded. After that, they would become enemies again. With cool expressions, the two set off, following the trail of the missing Alexa and the Imperial Prince.
“Alexa! Sis!”
Terrun called out, his voice playful like a child’s. Ysildus glanced at him, annoyed.

It was the leader of the Blue Moon Merchant Guild who found the oldest member of the Red Clan. The black elves, who had hidden in the forest, had brought him to Thersion. The Red Clan had only agreed to this after being promised they’d return unharmed.
“Carlisle.”
The leader of the Blue Moon greeted him.
“Armus.”
“Don’t kill him. Don’t ruin the Blue Moon’s reputation.”
Armus patted Carlisle on the shoulder before stepping aside. Carlisle swept back his hair. As soon as he entered the room, the stench hit him. He wrinkled his nose at the smell of curses and dark magic, a stench unique to the Red Clan. Carlisle stepped toward the trembling member of the clan.
“Do you know what I need to know?”
Carlisle’s lips curled into a thin smile, revealing white fangs, causing the Red Clan member to flinch.
“W-what am I supposed to tell you...?”
“If you know anything about a Red Clan member who can use light magic, tell me.”
Carlisle sat leisurely, his expression calm. The Red Clan member, his eyes filled with terror, hesitated. His wrinkled hand reached out and gripped Carlisle’s arm, fear forgotten.
“Has such a person been born? A Red Clan member untainted by curses, born into the world?”
Carlisle gazed at him, his eyes cold.
“It’s the only way to break the curse, Your Excellency. If someone born with the ability to charm and tame wolves were to come into existence, it would be our one chance to lift the curse. This is a story passed down among the Red Clan.”
“Charming and taming wolves, you say.”
Carlisle bared his fangs, his expression dark. If Alexa’s influence over the wolves was due to the key to breaking the curse, then fate had indeed played a cruel trick on them.
“…She can’t be killed anymore. Not even by you, Your Excellency. By now, you’ve probably fallen for her, right? Fate and the curse didn’t deceive the wolves.”
The Red Clan elder continued, as if already knowing what Carlisle was thinking.
“It’s not fate or the curse. It’s her innate charm. Born with every means to survive among wolves, it’s simply who she is. So, don’t be angry.”
“…What happens if the curse is lifted?”
Carlisle asked in a low, cold voice. His anger toward Alexa surged, but the mere thought of her calmed him. She was endlessly small, sweet, and fragile, yet bold and diligent. The wolves had been utterly captivated by her. Carlisle realized.
‘I can’t kill her.’
And it wasn’t just him. He ran a hand over his face. The Red Clan had paid the price for their betrayal for a long time, and there was only one way they could free themselves from that burden.
“The Wolf God will return, free from the cycle of human reincarnation.”
The elder solemnly declared.
“The curse entangling the Red Clan and the wolves will be undone, and all consequences stemming from that curse will fade.”
“Consequences, you say...”
“Perhaps even the shackles binding the Imperial Family will be broken.”
The elder offered a sweet reward. After all, it had been the Red Clan that had once overseen the pact between the Knight Temperch and the Wolf God.
“I like the sound of that.”
The smell was enough to induce a headache, but Carlisle was willing to endure it. Having gotten all the answers he needed, Carlisle rose without killing anyone. He turned back to the elder and spoke.
“I don’t care if this story gets out. Spread it widely among the Red Clan and let it reach the Magic Tower and the spire.”
“…Are you saying...”
“We need to sift out who should survive and who deserves to die.”
Carlisle’s smile was delicate, like a gentle breeze heralding the arrival of spring. The quiet war between the Imperial Family, the Red Clan, and the wolves had reached a new Chapter. The bell tolled to announce its beginning.

Meanwhile, another war was on the verge of breaking out.
“Would you like to have a meal together?”
Alexa asked Jeremiah, hoping to foster a sense of camaraderie between him, Ysildus, and Terrun. The three had many tasks to accomplish together.
“Ysildus, he’s your partner. You should treat him well.”
Alexa smiled brightly. Ysildus chuckled heartily.
“Of course. If you say so, Alexa.”
Ysildus turned to Jeremiah with that same smile.
“Let’s have a meal together, Your Highness. Father would certainly approve.”
Jeremiah frowned, feeling a knot form in his stomach, but he couldn’t refuse. It was the first suggestion Alexa had ever made to him.
‘What are you hiding?’
His curiosity was growing by the minute.
“Alright,” Jeremiah agreed.
