I Became the Villainess, But My Beast Husbands Can Hear My Mind?!-Chapter 38: Building a Home For Six
After everyone finished the food Roxanna had cooked, she finally took the time to look around the hut properly. She hadn’t expected much, but to her surprise, the simple building was very spacious, several times larger than Azul’s hut.
There were two rooms, each about the size of Azul’s hut. From the looks of it, those rooms used to belong to the evil Roxanna and her parents. The rest of the hut was one large open space without walls or dividers. Before, it had been filled with dirty straw, but now it was completely empty because her husbands had cleaned everything thoroughly.
All the dirty straw and leftover meat scraps were gone.
[They don’t even have chairs in the living area or anything? Oh, right, they’re probably used to sitting on the floor,] Roxanna thought for a moment. [Hmm... chairs aren’t that important right now. But when winter comes... sitting on the cold floor will be uncomfortable.]
Roxanna decided that chairs were important, but not urgent for now.
[Well... since the living area is so big, couldn’t this become a perfect place for me and my husbands to sleep?]
[Meanwhile, the other rooms can be used as a kitchen and... maybe storage?]
All of her husbands froze when Roxanna thought about letting them sleep in the same hut as her.
They had never slept together with the evil Roxanna before. Back then, she would choose only one of them, while the rest were free to sleep elsewhere.
At that time, they were relieved they didn’t have to sleep with their evil wife all the time. But now that their wife had changed, they wanted nothing more than to sleep together with her every day.
"Zeir," Roxanna suddenly said, "didn’t you bring mammoth hide earlier?"
Zeir nodded. "We planned to use it as a blanket, but it still needs to be cleaned and treated first."
After all, mammoth hide couldn’t be used right away. If they didn’t process it properly, it would rot.
"Can you hunt at least two more mammoths?" Roxanna asked, her eyes full of hope.
Zeir blinked. "We can. But why?"
"I want to make bedding for us!" Roxanna walked to the middle of the open space and spread her arms wide. "We can use this room as our bedroom. But since there are six of us, we need more mammoth fur."
So she meant it. She really wanted to sleep together with all of them.
"You want to sleep with all of us?" Calen asked, wanting to be sure he had heard her correctly.
Roxanna nodded without hesitation. "Of course. You’re all my husbands. Isn’t it unfair if I only sleep with one of you every night? That’s why I thought... why don’t we sleep together?"
But after a moment, Roxanna realized something. [Wait... if we all sleep together every night... where do I go if I want to mate with one of them?]
Wait, why was she suddenly thinking about that?! She had mated with Azul, but that didn’t mean all of them wanted it, right?
Maybe some of them wanted freedom instead of mating with her.
[Nonsense. Who wouldn’t want to mate with you, Host!] the system said cheerfully. [If there’s no place to mate with one of them, why not mate with all of them at the same—] 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
[Aaaaah! Stop! Stop! Stop!] Roxanna cut the system off. [How could I possibly mate with all of them at the same time?! That’s impossible!]
[There’s nothing impossible, Host. Besides, your body has tremendous stamina, so—]
[Shut up! Don’t think about things like that anymore!] Roxanna interrupted again, her face burning hot.
[Alright, I’ll keep one bedroom as a bedroom, so I can... you know...] she told the system, though she was actually talking to herself.
She shook her head and spoke aloud again. "Still, if you don’t want to sleep here, that’s fine too. After all, you still have your own huts, and Azul’s is still very clean."
[But wouldn’t it feel scary to sleep alone in such a big place?] Roxanna thought.
Last night, she had slept with Azul, so she hadn’t thought too much about it. But now that she realized she might have to sleep alone, she started to feel a little scared.
[I hate the dark...] Roxanna bit her lower lip, staring at the floor. [There are no lamps here, and no candles either. Well, maybe the system sells candles in the shop, but still... it feels scary to sleep alone, especially with so many wild animal sounds outside every night.]
For about two years, she had slept alone in the shelter as well. But because the room was small, she didn’t feel afraid. In fact, it felt like being inside a cocoon.
Sleeping alone in a place this big, however, felt like standing in the middle of a battlefield without any fortress.
[It will be scary.]
Their Roxanna was afraid of being alone in the darkness? Then they had no excuse to leave her alone!
"What? I’m not going back to my hut!" Calen suddenly said. "The roof is broken. If it rains, it leaks badly! I’m staying here with you!"
"My hut is also damaged after this dog broke the wall," Luan added. "I’ll stay here too." He glanced at Azul. "That fish’s hut seems fine, so he doesn’t need to sleep here."
"What do you mean?" Azul protested. "My hut is tiny! And if I’m not here, who’s going to make sure you keep this place clean?!"
Zeir and Cyrus didn’t join the argument. Honestly, the two of them were the calmest, and they rarely got involved in quarrels.
"If the others are sleeping here, then I will too," Cyrus said calmly. "My hut’s roof also seems to be damaged."
Zeir nodded. "I can sleep anywhere, so I don’t mind sleeping here." He added, "Besides, this hut is big enough for all of us."
Roxanna smiled widely. All of her husbands had decided to stay with her. That meant she no longer had to worry about them suffering in their broken huts.
"Since all of you are staying here, then you have to help me make this place feel more like home!" Roxanna said with a smile.
[Ding! Ding!]
[Side Mission Activated: Complete the hut with a kitchen and a bathroom!]
[Reward: A Magic Toilet — a wooden box that can be buried in the ground and dispose of waste immediately!]

Roxanna squatted down and used a small stick to draw a rough layout on the ground. She wasn’t an expert in architecture, but as someone from a modern world, she at least understood how a house was usually arranged.
"So... we can turn this old room into a kitchen," she said.
When she looked up, all of her husbands were staring at the ground with confused faces. It was obvious that they didn’t even know what a kitchen was.
"That’s a place for cooking," Roxanna explained softly, then realized they didn’t even know what cooking was. "I mean... a place where I make delicious food for you, like earlier."
"I can use my magic pot here," she continued, pointing at the spot she had drawn. "But since I need fire, we have to make a special place for it. Something like a chimney, so the smoke can go out."
Honestly, it would be easier to cook outside, but Roxanna wanted to try building a proper kitchen. If they could do this, their life could slowly become better and more comfortable.
Still, this wasn’t something she could rush. Fire was dangerous, and mistakes could burn the whole hut down.
She lifted her head and looked around, thinking carefully.
"I’ll give this task to Cyrus and Zeir," Roxanna said at last, thinking that they were the most suitable people to handle such an important responsibility.
"What about me?" Azul asked softly. "I want to help you too."
He gave her a warm smile, and for a brief moment, Roxanna’s mind wandered back to what they had done together last night. Quietly, Luan kicked the back of Azul’s leg, but the fish beastman stayed standing as if nothing had happened.
"Then Azul can help me build the toilet and the bathroom," Roxanna said, smiling back at him. "The toilet is where we get rid of waste, and the bathroom is..."
She went on to explain everything she knew from the modern world. Halfway through, Azul’s eye twitched. He had just realized that she was asking him to build a place meant for waste.
"Why do we need that?" Azul asked. "We’ve always done it outside."
Usually, they simply dug a hole, used it, and covered it again. They had done this for years, and to them, it wasn’t a problem at all.
"But... we have to leave the settlement to do that," Roxanna said shyly. "And... we don’t use water to clean ourselves afterward."
It felt unhygienic to her not to use water or toilet paper after relieving herself. She also felt embarrassed every time she had to dig the ground for it.
