I Became the Villainess, But My Beast Husbands Can Hear My Mind?!-Chapter 202: Too Adorable to Resist
"N-No!" Roxanna refused Zeir’s idea right away. She even crossed her arms over her chest and quickly pressed her legs together, trying her best to hold her ground.
Zeir frowned slightly. "You’re willing to do ’that’ with Azul, but not with me?"
Roxanna’s eyes widened at the misunderstanding. "No, it’s not like that, Zeir!" Before his thoughts could go any further, she hurried to explain, "I’m not rejecting you because I don’t want you. It’s just... like you said earlier, we still have a guest, and I’m sure Calen and Luan will be back soon."
"It’s just... the timing isn’t right," she added in a small voice.
[Was the timing even right when Azul and I were doing it earlier?!] Roxanna scolded herself. [This sounds so unreasonable... Zeir must think I’m making excuses. What should I do? Will he think I love Azul more than him?]
Love was something that couldn’t be measured clearly, so the only way to prove it was through words and actions. If Roxanna couldn’t show that, then her love would be nothing but empty words.
[Damn it... it’s so hard to show them that I love them equally!] Roxanna complained in her heart. [But... do I really love them equally? What if that’s just something I tell myself?]
In the end, the only people who could judge that were her husbands.
"Alright, the timing isn’t good now. But later, when it is... can I help you extend your lifespan?" Zeir suddenly asked, breaking Roxanna’s thoughts about equal love.
The truth was, Zeir had only been pushing his luck earlier, and if he couldn’t get what Azul had, then so be it.
His wife would be with them for a long time, so he wouldn’t sulk just because she rejected him a few times.
On the other hand, Roxanna was caught off guard because Zeir didn’t look angry at all, neither his expression nor his tone showed even a hint of it
"Yeah... if we get the chance, then... I’ll gladly accept your help," Roxanna said shyly. Her fox ears drooped a little as guilt filled her chest. "I’m really sorry for rejecting you just now."
"Don’t be silly." Zeir let out a soft sigh. "You have the right to tell us what you want, and you don’t need to be sorry for that."
Roxanna slowly closed her eyes as Zeir gently patted her head, fixing her slightly messy hair with careful movements.
"Alright, I think you should clean yourself now," Zeir added. "I’ll get some water from the well for you."
Roxanna could only stay silent as she watched Zeir walk out of the hut to fetch water from the well. She couldn’t understand how Zeir was so willing to help her clean up, even though the one who made the mess was her other husband.
Did they really have no sense of jealousy? That was nonsense. After all, Calen and Luan still often argued about it, but to be honest, they never did anything bad other than bickering with each other.
"Are you alright?" Azul walked toward her, caressing her arm up and down to make her feel better. "If you think I went too far, you can tell me."
Roxanna quickly shook her head. "No, no, I’m fine." She turned to look at him, her voice soft and a little shy. "I... I actually enjoyed what we just did. So... I don’t have any complaints."
Azul looked at her in silence for a moment before he suddenly pulled her into his embrace. He hugged her so tightly that Roxanna struggled to breathe.
"A-Azul?" Roxanna called his name in confusion.
"You can’t keep acting like this..." Azul whispered.
Roxanna blinked. "Like what?"
"Like you’re this adorable." Azul finally let go, only to cup her face and press soft kisses all over it.
Roxanna froze in place, her whole face turning red as Azul’s kisses landed one after another on her cheeks, her forehead, and the corner of her lips.
She felt so embarrassed right now, but at the same time, she also felt deeply in love.
"Cough. Cough." 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Roxanna immediately pushed Azul aside as soon as she heard someone else’s voice, but fortunately, it was only Zeir, who had just returned from the well.
"D-Don’t misunderstand! We weren’t doing anything weird!" Roxanna said in a rush because she just didn’t want Zeir to think she loved Azul more than him.
"It’s fine." Zeir let out a soft sigh. "Let’s get you cleaned up first." Then he glanced at Azul. "Why haven’t you cleaned this place yet? Go on, clean it now."
Instead of getting annoyed at being ordered around by Zeir, Azul showed a smile on his face. He looked proud, because he had concrete proof that he had marked Roxanna in the living room.
And his smile only grew wider when all of Roxanna’s husbands returned to the hut and picked up bits of what had happened from her thoughts.
[I can’t believe we’re sitting here like nothing happened...] Roxanna covered her burning cheeks with both hands, her tail swaying quickly behind her. She felt both embarrassed and strangely excited at the same time.
[Stop... I really can’t stop thinking about what we just did here.]
[Even my lower body still feels him... This is so embarrassing!]
Luan and Calen tried to hold each other back so they wouldn’t end up burying the fish alive in the ground.
Meanwhile, Cyrus chose to spend his time in the kitchen, because he felt a little annoyed that he wasn’t able to watch them do it directly.
Well... the little bird wasn’t exactly normal, so his thoughts weren’t the best example anyway.
"Did you have trouble catching prey?" Roxanna asked, trying to break the awkward silence.
"No, not at all," Luan answered shortly.
Calen, on the other hand, swallowed his jealousy and forced himself to speak normally. "We found plenty of prey today. We probably won’t need to hunt again for three days."
Roxanna nodded. "Then we can store them in the refrigerator." Not long after, she flashed a bright smile at Luan and Calen. "Thank you for doing your best to provide food for us."
People said that the pink fox’s blood could heal any physical wound in a short time, but they felt like her smile was even greater and more precious than her blood.
