I Became the Progenitor Vampire-Chapter 132 - Unexpected Discovery
Chapter 132: Chapter 132 Unexpected Discovery
Underworld Legend Level??
Lide’s eyes narrowed slightly at the prompt, his thoughts turning, but he didn’t rush to investigate.
After Cosso Thunder swore his oath, he gained a considerable 1000 experience points.
His experience now reached—LV11 (5061/6000), just 1000 points shy of levelling up again.
This was an unexpected gain.
The key was that a powerful One-eyed Giant Tribe would now belong to Dawn City, to his private assets.
That was what mattered most.
Although in this war these one-eyed giants were powerless against the Bloodline, these warriors, known for their strength on the surface, were not so weak.
Had the Bloodline confronted them head-on, Lide was certain that even if they could claim victory, at least one-third of the Bloodline would fall.
Unfortunately for the giants, they had encountered him, the Bloodline with absolute control of the skies.
This battle was much like Earth’s US forces attacking Kosovo, with hundreds of thousands of ground troops stationed in Kosovo, bombarded and obliterated by the air superiority of the US forces, rendering the formidable ground army utterly defenceless.
Were Kosovo’s ground forces not strong?
No, it was an imbalance of advantages.
One-eyed Giants were adept at close-range, positional warfare; the Bloodline excelled at flexible raids.
Using their strength against the enemy’s weakness, these heavy warriors adept at siege warfare could only submit under the magic of the Bloodline.
After a while, the flames slowly dissipated.
Below, the scene unfolded before Lide’s eyes.
Ghastly.
Twenty one-eyed giants lay on the scorched earth, their grey, wrinkled skin now charred black, like overcooked baked potatoes.
The acrid smell of trees yet to burn completely filled the air, accompanied by the crackling and bursting of branches.
A few whelps emitted unconscious wails—weak, pained groans that made the scene even more sorrowful.
“Master… I beseech you to save my kin…”
Cosso, weak, was propping himself up, his voice thick with anxiety as he spoke breathlessly, his scars made more fearsome by the flames’ searing.
His three women and six children had all fainted, with the Death God ready to take their souls; he needed help.
“Audis, take these one-eyed giants back to Dawn City.”
Lide nodded; these one-eyed giants were now his property, with great use for the future—no need to lose them here.
Audis looked strangely, eyeing the one-eyed giants’ towering six-blade-tall stature, slightly vexed.
The Magic Language Bat could carry about 1000 pounds, and an adult one-eyed giant weighed a hefty 2000 pounds—not even two bats could carry one away.

“Use Mage’s Hand,”
Lide said irritably, seeing that Audis remained silent.
“One Mage’s Hand has a strength of 700-800 pounds; 4 Bloodline should be enough to move a one-eyed giant.”
Reminded by Lide, Audis revealed an admiring expression.
That kind of slick operation was possible?
He immediately turned to arrange for the personnel to carry the dying one-eyed giants back to Dawn City.
After giving his instructions, Lide turned solemnly to Cosso, who stood three to four times his height beside him.
“Cosso, from now on, the One-eyed Giant Tribe is a thing of the past, and you are now residents of Dawn City.
I will heal their wounds, no need to worry.
Now tell me, why did you appear here?”
Curious about the system prompt he had just seen, Lide wondered.
One-eyed giants were not common creatures; these beings of great strength often lived in places rarely tread by man.
Although the Far Mountain Range was a place few humans dared to enter, it was still beneath the eyes of the Bloodline.
In the two hundred years of memory from the Blood Clan Ancestor, there had never been any mention of one-eyed giants in the Far Mountain Range.
Even though the terrain was remote, it was improbable that they had gone undiscovered for centuries, especially when they were so close to Dawn City.
After receiving Lide’s promise, Cosso relaxed considerably, glancing at his still unconscious kin before turning and speaking respectfully to Lide.
“Master, we came to the surface from the Thunder Tribe in the Underworld. I lost the contest for the tribal chief position against my brother.
The defeated have no right to stay in the tribe, I was exiled by the new chief.”
“I had originally planned to take my warriors and my woman to another habitat, but we accidentally discovered a route to the surface world. In our exploration, we came here…”
Underworld?
Lide’s eyes opened wide, filled with intense curiosity.
In Glory World, it wasn’t just the surface that hosted life; there was a magnificent world beneath the ground, where the strength and diversity of the subterranean creatures were in no way inferior to those on the surface.
One-eyed Giants, Gray Dwarfs, Half-Elves, Cave Dwellers, Dark Night Elves, Snake Race, and so on, as well as the legendary Underground Cities where jewels piled in warehouses, and Gold Pucks clogged the moats.
The Underworld has always been synonymous with both wealth and danger.
In human legends, countless times have adventurers ventured deep into the Underworld. They killed Evil Dragons, plundered wealthy Underground Cities, and seized Divine Artifacts and gold. These people were heroes revered and worshipped by humankind.
But because, apart from a few well-known passages, there are no numerous channels connecting the Underworld and the surface world, it’s quite difficult to enter the Underworld.
Mystery, wealth, threat, Underground City, Evil Dragons… these are all synonymous with the Underworld.
The One-eyed Giants actually came from the Underworld.
This is a major event.
If One-eyed Giants can come up, that means they can go down, and with the One-eyed Giants’ size, the passage must be quite large.
Logically, if the Bloodline didn’t need to feed on human blood, the Underworld would be a better destination… There’s no sunshine in the Underworld.
A flash of excitement crossed his eyes.
“The Underworld? Is that the cave behind you?”
“Yes, Master.
Inside the cave is a dark hole, leading directly to the Underworld; it’s only a day’s journey away.”
After pondering for a moment, Cosso Thunder replied with a voice as resonant as thunder.
A day’s journey?
Lide pondered; the distance wasn’t too far.
“Are there any strong creatures near the passage to the Underworld?” He had to ask clearly, as the dangers in the Underworld were incomparable to those on the surface.
The Underworld was a three-dimensional existence, with evil and powerful creatures potentially appearing below the feet or overhead.
“No, aside from a group of Kobolds, there are no strong creatures.”
“What’s your experience of living in the Underworld like? Tell me about it.”
“Yes, Master,”
Cosso nodded, unable to defy Lide’s command. After a brief contemplation, the big fellow began recounting his past in a very dry and uninteresting monotone.
Cosso lived in a very powerful One-eyed Giant Tribe — the Thunder Tribe, and he was the son of the previous chieftain.
The Thunder Tribe lived in a swamp, home to fearsome creatures such as Dire Wolves, goblins, Cave Spiders, and Ogres, all dwelling within the Underworld.
But the One-eyed Giants were the most powerful entities in the swamp; all evil creatures were their hunting targets.
However, good times didn’t last long. Cosso’s father, the One-eyed Giant chieftain who was close to reaching Extraordinary Rank, encountered a Black Dragon in the depths of the swamp.
The might of the Black Dragon was not something the not-yet-Extraordinary chieftain could withstand; his father lost his life.
After the Thunder Tribe lost its powerful Protector, it gradually lost its say in the swamp.
The Thunder Tribe prepared to relocate, but the decision to move required the chieftain’s order.
Cosso fought his brother to contest the chieftain’s position, and the result was clear; the wisdom-titled Cosso did not gain much in terms of combat ability.
He was defeated. Although not killed, he lost the right to remain in the Thunder Tribe. A tribe could only have one king, and Cosso was exiled.
After more than half a Sunshine Hour, Cosso drily finished recounting his experiences.
Even though he had awakened wisdom, this big fellow’s storytelling skills were evidently nonexistent.
Despite Cosso’s disjointed narrative, Lide gleaned several key pieces of information.
The Underworld where the One-eyed Giants resided was vast, and even the Thunder Tribe couldn’t explore the swamp to its borders.
Not far from the Thunder Tribe, there was a city built by Half-Elves. The Thunder Tribe had even traded Demon Beast carcasses for weapons in that city.
The city was inhabited by many intelligent Races, including Dark Elves, Gray Dwarfs, Dark Knights, and Undead Mages, among others.
Although Cosso’s introduction was very dry and not quite accurate, Lide could feel a huge and exciting world unfolding before him.
A wholly different Underworld compared to the surface world.
Cosso was like opening a window for Lide, beyond which lay a world rich in color and splendor.
