I Became the Alchemy Master by Picking Up Trash-Chapter 311 - 309: Master and Servant Reunited
"Are you going to look for Li Xing? I can help you."
Hui Hui immediately stopped crying, her chubby little hands clutching Ma Le’s clothes tightly, her voice trembling as she asked, "Really? Truly?"
Seeing the tears still at the corners of her eyes and her helpless, frightened look, Ma Le’s heart softened completely, and he gently comforted her, "It’s true. Li Xing is in Tian Yi City now, I’ll take you there, but I can’t guarantee you’ll be able to see her."
Li Xing’s condition is getting worse, and to not disturb her rest, all messages have to be filtered through the ten Great Elders before being reported. Whether they could successfully enter the tower, Ma Le was also uncertain.
Upon hearing Ma Le’s words, Hui Hui unceremoniously leaped into his arms, using her hands and feet to climb up onto his shoulder to sit securely, then patted his head with her small hand and said, "What are we waiting for? Let’s get going!" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Ma Le pressed his lips together, gently held Hui Hui’s chubby little legs to keep her in place, and squeezed into the crowd, heading towards the Transmission Array.
Coincidentally, the next destination for the teleportation team was precisely Tian Yi City.
Ma Le spotted an acquaintance in the team and excitedly shouted, "Brother Tie!"
After graduating from basic school, Ma Le didn’t further his studies in the reserve force but became a freelance mercenary instead.
Although his martial arts skills were average, his likable and smooth personality allowed him to get along amicably with any team he joined, and he had built up a network of contacts over the years. This mercenary team had collaborated with Ma Le multiple times and were old acquaintances by now.
The bearded mercenary captain turned around, saw it was Ma Le, and immediately beamed, "It’s you, kid! Where have you been making your fortune lately?"
"Hey, Brother Tie, don’t tease me. It’s good enough to not starve to death, let alone make a fortune."
"You have your strengths, don’t belittle yourself. I still say, the day you don’t want to be a freelance mercenary anymore, come join our Iron Blood Mercenary Corps. Brother Tie has got your back!"
"Alright then!"
Hui Hui had no interest in listening to their pleasantries; she smacked Ma Le on the forehead with her little hand and shouted, "Too much nonsense, get to the point!"
Brother Tie was taken aback, his eyes flicking between Hui Hui and Ma Le as he murmured, "Little Ma, is this your daughter? Doesn’t look like you..."
Ma Le chuckled awkwardly, "Brother Tie, you misunderstood. This is my sister’s child, who sneaked out from Tian Yi City. I’m just trying to bring her back. I wonder if Brother Tie could help add two more slots? I’ll cover the cost of extra transmission."
Brother Tie waved his large hand generously, "What’s a little money to a brother like me, hop on!"
"Thank you, Brother Tie!"

Li Xing picked up a black piece and placed it on the chessboard, raising her eyebrows smugly, "You’ve lost again." Chu Yunyi tossed the white piece in his hand into the chess box, saying softly, "Inferior skills, nothing to say."
Li Xing sighed, "Truly hard on you." To control the game as realistically as losing is even more challenging than winning, Chu Yunyi’s game skills were not just a little better than hers.
The small trick was seen through by Li Xing, but Chu Yunyi showed no guilt, magnanimously extended his hand to Li Xing with a smile and said, "The sun is shining just right today, the breeze gentle, how about we go for a walk?"
"Alright."
The two walked out hand in hand.
To assist Li Xing’s recuperation, Shen Tuwei had set up this garden overnight, filled with plants that calm the mind, prolong life, rich with Wood Element Spirit, a place Li Xing loved to stay.
When Ji Jingtang brought people in, Li Xing and Chu Yunyi were sitting shoulder to shoulder under a Longevity Tree, talking softly. Noticing someone had arrived, Li Xing looked up, her eyes still carrying a faint smile.
Ji Jingtang cleared his throat, bowed slightly, and reported, "Master Li, an acquaintance has come to visit."
Before Ji Jingtang could introduce them, Hui Hui darted out from behind him, like a homing swallow, spreading her lotus root-like arms and running toward Li Xing, crying:
"Waaaaa! Li Xing, are you sick? Why have you become so old?" Hui Hui initially planned to give Li Xing a beatdown to vent upon seeing her, but seeing her with white hair, her heart ached insanely, not caring to hit her anymore.
Ji Jingtang sighed and quietly retreated.
Chu Yunyi swiftly grabbed the little one’s collar before she could crash into Li Xing’s arms, lifting her up. Though the little one was only about four or five years old, she was as plump as a meatball, making a dive like that would not be good for Li Xing’s frail body.
Li Xing looked at the child kicking and flailing with a defiant glare at Chu Yunyi, curiously asking, "And you are...?" She hadn’t seen this child before, but the voice sounded familiar.
Hui Hui wore a face of betrayed sadness, pouting, "I’m Hui Hui! Damnit, Li Xing, did you get dementia?"
Li Xing was shocked, quickly rescuing her from Chu Yunyi’s grip, examining her from head to toe, searching for the trace of the Big-mouth Flower.
The little girl’s hair color and eyes were identical to Hui Hui’s purple head, and the small dress she wore had the semblance of the Big-mouth Flower’s calyx. Added to her familiar voice, Li Xing could confirm she really was the Big-mouth Flower.
"My Hui Hui is amazing, she’s even evolved into a human shape! You didn’t lie to me, Hui Hui really is a great beauty!"
Hui Hui must have taken human form before, then reverted back to plant form after her cultivation level dropped, which is why she always claimed to be beautiful.
Spirit Plants and Immortal Herbs are harder to take human form than Demon Beasts, for Hui Hui to reach this level, Li Xing was delighted, glad she had left her so many Spirit Stones for advancement back then.
Hui Hui pouted, turning her head away, pettishly saying, "I’m not yours! The master-servant relationship is dissolved, don’t act familiar!"
The child’s sulky demeanor amused Li Xing, she rubbed Hui Hui’s head, hugging her to her chest.
"Don’t be angry, I had to do something very dangerous back then, life and death uncertain, dissolving the master-servant bond was for your sake."
Hui Hui buried her head in Li Xing’s chest, softly said, "Have you finished it? If you have, can you take me back?"
Li Xing touched Hui Hui’s hair bun, sighing, "I can’t."
Hui Hui startled, lifting her head, a look of anguish like being abandoned by a heartbreaker: "Why? Did you find someone better than me, now despise the old? Today you must give me an explanation!"
Li Xing helplessly looked towards Chu Yunyi, who gave her a slight nod, "Ah Xing, tell her, otherwise this little one won’t let it go."
So Li Xing told Hui Hui everything that had happened after Hui Hui went into hibernation.
After hearing it all, Hui Hui was floored; she grabbed a lock of white hair, tremblingly asked, "So—you’re going to die now?"
Li Xing nodded.
"Soon." Chu Yunyi’s life force was about to be exhausted, Li Xing estimated their end would come in a matter of days.
Hui Hui suddenly leapt from Li Xing’s embrace, her cheek flesh jiggling twice as she yelled with a little belly sticking out, "Then what are you waiting for, go find the World Heart Stone!"
Chu Yunyi’s eyes dimmed, "Can’t be found."
Hui Hui clenched her little fists, waved at Chu Yunyi, "I know where the World Heart Stone is, follow me!"
Hui Hui’s words were like a stone thrown into a calm lake, creating ripples upon ripples. Without saying a word, Chu Yunyi took out the Flying Device, carrying the two, speeding towards the Teleportation Port.
