Chapter 322: Chapter 322 Blue wonder

The turtle bus glided smoothly across the sky, passing through breathtaking scenery that seemed to grow more magical with every mile. Rolling meadows gave way to dunes of soft golden sand, and in the distance, the vast ocean stretched endlessly beneath the bright blue sky. The sunlight danced across its waves, scattering diamonds over the surface.

As the turtle slowed, everyone inside pressed closer to the glass walls, their eyes widening in awe. The water shimmered like living silk, and the sound of waves gently crashing against the shore filled the air.

"Teacher! Teacher! It’s so big!" Boo squealed, spinning midair in excitement. "It’s even bigger than my elder Goldie bathtub!"

Drake pressed his hands against the glass, his golden eyes reflecting the horizon. "That’s not a bathtub, Boo... that’s an ocean!"

The turtle bus stopped near the shore. The door of the driver’s cabin opened, and a tall old man stepped inside. His long silver hair was tied neatly behind him, and his robe shone faintly like the surface of a calm lake. Dante immediately stood, his posture straight and respectful.

"Master Elarion," Dante greeted with a nod.

The old man smiled gently, his eyes deep as still water. "My lord," he said softly, then turned toward the sea.

Without another word, he lifted his hand, and a deep hum rippled through the air. Light surged from his palm, spreading in a circle that expanded outward until it covered the entire bus. The ocean wind seemed to pause, and the air thickened with energy.

Alina’s breath caught as a strange, pleasant sensation washed through her body. It was as if something light and cool was wrapping around her lungs and skin. "What’s this?" she asked, her voice full of wonder as she turned to Dante.

He looked at her calmly. "King Corvus sent one of his finest spellcasters," he explained. "This enchantment will let us breathe and walk freely underwater. You won’t feel the weight of the sea or the pressure of the deep."

Her eyes widened with amazement. "That’s incredible..." she whispered, placing a hand over her chest, feeling the faint sensation of magic under her skin.

Just then, a tug at her dress made her glance down. Luna was pulling at her hem, her little wolf ears flattened and her tail drooping in clear distress.

"Teacher!" Luna huffed, frowning deeply. "Will my fur get wet in the water? How will I enjoy anything if I turn into a wet puffball?"

Alina bit her lip, trying not to laugh at the serious worry in Luna’s golden-brown eyes. Before she could answer, the old man turned to the little wolf girl with a kind smile. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

"No, little one," he said gently, his voice calm and melodic. "This magic keeps you dry and warm. Your fur will stay soft and perfect."

Luna blinked, her tail twitching uncertainly. "Really?"

The old man nodded solemnly. "As real as the sea itself."

Luna’s ears perked instantly, and her tail wagged happily. "Then I’m ready!" she declared proudly, making the others giggle.

Boo floated beside her, whispering loudly, "You worried for nothing! Ghosts don’t even have fur!"

Luna glared at him. "At least I have something to brush!"

Alina laughed softly, shaking her head. "Alright, my little explorers," she said warmly. "Let’s get ready to see Kelpie’s home."

The turtle bus began to move again, its glowing shell gliding over the sand until it reached the ocean’s edge. As its front dipped into the water, the waves parted smoothly, glowing faintly around it. The light shimmered like liquid glass, and one by one, the babies gasped in wonder as they descended beneath the waves into the glowing blue world below.

"Oh my ghostly tail..." Boo whispered in awe, his round little eyes glowing faintly as he pressed his face against the glass. The ocean stretched endlessly around them—soft blue light rippling like silk, dancing across the walls of the turtle bus. Tiny bubbles drifted upward like pearls, and hundreds of colorful fish glided past in perfect lines, their scales flashing gold, pink, and silver.

"Teacher... look! They’re having a parade!" Boo gasped, spinning in place as his ghostly tail shimmered with excitement.

Felix laughed from his seat. "That’s not a parade, silly! That’s a school of fish!"

Boo blinked, confused. "They go to school too?!"

Alina bit back a laugh, covering her mouth with her hand as she exchanged a look with Dante, whose lips twitched slightly in amusement.

The old master, standing near the front, chuckled softly, the faint sound echoing like a calm wave. "This is just the tip of the sea, little ones," he said, his voice slow and soothing, like ripples over still water. "We’ll be going much deeper soon."

The children gasped, eyes widening in excitement. Even Vlad Jr., who usually maintained his elegant composure, leaned forward, curiosity gleaming in his red eyes.

Dante gave the old man a polite nod of acknowledgment. "Thank you, Master Elarion."

The master inclined his head and turned, his long robe trailing softly behind him as he stepped back into the driver’s cabin.

The sound of the magic engine deepened, and a soft vibration spread beneath their feet as the turtle began its descent once more. Outside, the world darkened just a little, light bending into deeper shades of sapphire and indigo.

As the turtle bus sank deeper, Drake suddenly shouted, "AHHH! Teacher! The sky’s drowning!!" He clung to his seat with both hands, his amber eyes huge as everything turned dark blue. For a second, he couldn’t tell if it was the sky or water—or maybe a gateway to the sky through the water. His tail smacked Felix’s leg in panic.

"It’s not the sky, you silly dragon, it’s the ocean!" Felix said between giggles, pushing his tail away.

"But it’s blue and moving!" Drake insisted, shaking his head wildly.

Boo floated upside down, his tiny ghost tail swaying as he pointed outside. "Look! I saw a ghost fish! Maybe he’s my cousin!"

Rocky tilted his head from the corner. "Ghosts have fish cousins?" he asked shyly, confused.

"Of course!" Boo said proudly. "We all live together in Boo Lagoon! Didn’t you study ghost geography?!"

Luna groaned, burying her face in her hands. "There’s no such thing as ghost geography," she muttered, tail flicking. "Boo just makes up stuff."

Boo gasped dramatically. "That’s called exclusive knowledge!"

Vlad Jr. sighed deeply, as if carrying the weight of being the only sensible one. "Please refrain from shouting. We are guests of the sea kingdom, not participants in a carnival."

"Carnival!" Drake cheered, ignoring him completely. "Teacher, can we have a carnival later? With snacks?! With fishes?!"

Alina could barely keep her laughter inside. She pressed her fingers to her lips, her shoulders shaking.
