I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 319 Invitation
The next morning, Alina arrived early at the kindergarten. After greeting everyone in the staff room and finishing some paperwork, she made her way toward her classroom.
As soon as she opened the door, a shower of glittering confetti burst through the air, sparkling under the soft morning sunlight. The entire room looked unusually bright and full of energy.
Kelpie stood proudly at the center of it all, holding a beautiful pastel-blue ribbon that seemed enchanted—every flick of it sent another wave of confetti swirling through the room like shimmering pearls and tiny gems.
Drake was darting around with his small school bag, collecting the falling sparkles and stuffing them into his bag with pure delight. Boo was floating above Kelpie, doing a wild little dance midair, shaking his tiny ghostly hands and wiggling his translucent tail in excitement.
Even Luna, who usually pretended to be unimpressed, was smiling softly, her ears perked high and her tail wagging just a little. Rocky sat by the window with his hands full of confetti, staring at the colors as if they were treasure.
"What’s happening here?" Alina asked, unable to hide her laughter as she stepped into the colorful chaos.
"Teacher! Teacher!" Boo shouted, zooming toward her with an explosion of excitement. "There’s a huge celebration at Kelpie’s home! He’s inviting all of us! He said we can play with the fishes and meet his water friends! Boo’s so excited!!" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
He spun around her, leaving trails of shimmer in the air.
Kelpie clapped his tiny webbed hands, his eyes sparkling like the sea. "Teacher, my dad said to invite you too! And the principal! Everyone can come together! There’ll be food and water games and songs!"
Alina blinked in surprise. "Wow, that sounds wonderful, Kelpie! But..." she tilted her head slightly, her tone warm but cautious, "since it’s in the water, some of us might not be able to breathe there."
Kelpie’s face brightened immediately, and he shook both his little hands with excitement. "No worry, teacher, no worry! Water loves everyone! My dad said he’ll make magic bubbles for you all! You’ll breathe just fine! Everyone come! Yaaay!"
The entire class erupted into cheers again, Drake tossing confetti into the air while Boo twirled around shouting, "Water party! Water party!"
Alina couldn’t help but laugh as she watched their excitement spread like sunlight.
"Everyone, take your seats," Alina said gently after letting them enjoy the excitement for a moment. Her voice carried that calm warmth that made even the most restless little ones settle down. The confetti slowly drifted to the floor as all the babies nodded and hurried back to their desks, still grinning from ear to ear.
Once everyone was seated, she turned her attention to Kelpie, who was still holding his glowing blue ribbon proudly. "Sweetheart," she said with a soft smile, "what kind of celebration is it?"
Kelpie’s fins twitched in excitement as his eyes gleamed like rippling water. "We hold big celebration every year, teacher! All water creatures come together—there’s food, programs, songs, and dancing!" He leaned forward, his voice dropping to a whisper of awe. "I don’t know everything, but my mom does! She’s the one organizing the whole event!"
His little chest puffed with pride, and Alina couldn’t help but smile, her heart melting at how adorable he looked. "That’s wonderful, Kelpie," she said kindly. "Your mom must be working so hard to make it beautiful."
Kelpie nodded eagerly, his tiny fins fluttering. "Yes! She said everyone should feel happy! She even said water spirits will come too! And mermaids from the coral bay!"
Alina’s eyes widened slightly at that, and her heart fluttered with childlike wonder. Water spirits? Mermaids? She had only read about them in the old mythological books stored in the library. To think she would actually get to meet such beings—it was thrilling.
"Well, we’re all very excited too," Alina said, smiling at her little students, who immediately cheered in agreement. Their laughter and chatter filled the classroom again.
As the cheerful voices faded into softer hums, Alina picked up her attendance sheet and began calling out names one by one. Each baby answered eagerly, some in tiny voices, some with proud shouts, and some—like Boo—with dramatic spooky echoes that made the others giggle.
The first class of the day was math. The little ones groaned softly when Alina wrote the exercises on the board, but they quickly picked up their pencils, their tiny hands moving in slow, determined circles as they tried to solve the sums. Alina smiled faintly, her heart full as she watched them work—Drake’s tongue sticking out in concentration, Luna tapping her pencil like a drummer, and Boo peeking at everyone’s notebooks before pretending to "help."
Once they were settled, she returned to her desk and quietly opened her folder. The room was filled with the soft sound of scratching pencils, the occasional sigh, and the rhythmic rustle of pages. She began reviewing her own notes, arranging lesson plans, and finishing the class schedule she had been designing for Class D. Every subject, every tiny event, every moment she wanted to make memorable—she had written carefully, adding soft doodles in the margins of her notebook.
Just as she finished organizing the week’s schedule, her phone pinged with a soft notification. She picked it up and saw Dante’s name in the inbox.
The email was short and formal, as always:
> [Miss Alina, please begin subject evaluations. Exams will be held in approximately six weeks to assess each student’s progress. After that, the academy will close for the seasonal holidays. Post-holiday, we’ll resume with the parent meeting schedule.]
Alina smiled softly as she read it. Even his emails sounded calm and composed, but she could almost imagine his low voice saying those words in her head.
She leaned back slightly, sighing with a faint smile. Time passes so quickly, she thought, watching her students quietly scribble away. It felt like only yesterday she had first walked into this strange, magical kindergarten full of the cutest little monsters who’d tested her patience and filled her days with laughter.
Now, she couldn’t imagine her life without them.
