Chapter 692: Chapter 446 World Tree Yggdrasil

Elf Royal Court,

Demon Prince Demogorgon looked up at the horizon, his gaze seemingly piercing through the world itself, able to witness the Gods’ Battle unfolding beyond the Gaia World.

Every Main God of the Elf God System was barred by the true body of Demogorgon from interfering with his arrangements in the Elf Royal Court, now unable to hinder him any further.

However, the time left for Demogorgon was not plentiful.

As a Demon Prince, one of the most powerful entities within the Endless Abyss, Demogorgon, even amongst the divine beings of great strength, was one of the most preeminent.

Apart from a few such as the God of Dawn and the Father of Oak, he feared no enemy.

Naturally, he was somewhat stronger than Correlon, the Elf Main God.

But this did not mean Demogorgon could directly confront the many powerful beings in the Elf God System.

This was also why, favored by the Abyss Will and with an exceedingly strong divine body, Demogorgon, unlike other beings of similar divine level, would engage in such acts.

Even with Demogorgon himself obstructing, it would not be possible to hold on for too long.

This is the difference between an Abyss Evil God and an Order True God!

Most deities of the Gaia World, aside from a few entities, are part of different God Systems, comprising beings attached to mighty divine powers.

Most God Systems are distinguished by race, such as the Elf God System, Dwarf God System, Beastman God System, and so on.

The Human God System is a somewhat special existence, because there are exactly three entities of mighty divine level: the Prince of Lies Shirek, the Earth Mother God Shantia, and the God of Dawn Losanda.

These three mighty divine entities, along with countless beings of medium and weak divine power, form the most powerful God System within the Temple of the Gods, and humans have become the most formidable race of the Gaia World.

However, the Human God System is far from united, with great divergence existing between the three gods of might.

The source of this c𝐨ntent is freёnovelkiss.com.

Losanda, the God of Dawn with a tendency towards Lawful Good, gets along with Shantia, the Earth Mother God of Neutral Good.

But Shirek, from the Chaotic Evil camp, though a deity of the Human faction, vehemently detests Losanda. It is said that even before they ignited their Divine Fires to ascend to divinity, they were already fierce competitors.

Countless years have passed, and although both have become divine beings of great power, their animosity only intensified instead of diminishing.

Shirek, a deity with a narrow mind, self-centered nature, and extreme bias, believes Himself superior to all other deities, which is why He has no allies among the divine beings. Although He sometimes pretends to cooperate with certain gods, such acts are merely part of a scheme, fabricating lies to achieve His ultimate ends.

The gods who depend on Him are more like servants of Shirek rather than subordinate deities.

Yet, it is also for this reason that the conflict between Shirek and Abyss Evil Gods is extremely intense, and there is no possibility of cooperation between the two sides.

As for the relationship between Abyss Evil Gods, it is even worse than that among the three mighty divine powers of the Human camp.

Apart from their underlings, it is rare for Abyss Evil Gods to cooperate.

One reason is that even when they reach the divine level, they possess not much rationality and are often driven by the Abyss Consciousness and demonic nature to act; entities like Demon Prince Demogorgon are exceedingly rare among the Abyss Evil Gods.

Another reason is that the relationship between the Abyss Evil Gods is one of complete enmity.

This hostility is somewhat similar to the competition between divinities for mighty Divine Positions, and what they compete for is the favor of the Abyss Consciousness.

The more Abyss Consciousness they receive, the more Abyss Power they can wield.

And as one of the mightiest Abyss Evil Gods, it is natural that Demon Prince Demogorgon is one of the few who garners much of the Abyss Will’s attention.

Other Abyss Evil Gods would rather see Demogorgon perish at the hands of the Elf Gods than to cooperate with him against the Elf God System, wishing instead to compete for more favor from the Abyss Consciousness.

As for Demogorgon himself, He does have a few divine-level subordinates. However, they are much weaker in strength and could not possibly intervene in the Gods’ Battle between Him and Correlon.

Moreover, Demogorgon has other plans for His subordinates that could prove more useful.

Withdrawing His gaze, Demogorgon looked down at the Elf Royal Court Zhonuo City beneath His feet.

Below Him, the once resplendent Elf Royal Court was now completely covered by a tumultuous sea of putrid blood, with tumors clinging to the buildings writhing uncontrollably; the disgustingly spreading mass almost completely engulfed the architecture of the Elf Royal Court, intending to swallow and envelope all of the buildings.

Yet amidst this foul blood and repulsive tumors, the tower of the Illiser Family remained untarnished, still radiating a golden glow, albeit with an ominous tinge to its brilliance.

Demogorgon descended from midair, standing at the heart of the Elf Royal Court.

At His feet was the World Tree Altar, which had weathered millennia.

Now, the altar, once marked by the passage of years, had been entirely transformed into a deep, blood-red color.

Dark red blood, like serpents lurking in the night, along with a profoundly intense Abyss Breath, were silently corroding this Holy Land of the Elves. Grief and despair intertwined to form invisible chains, entwining the altar’s stone bricks, emanating a pungent scent of rust and decay, suffocating to behold.
