"Sharingan?"

Killer Bee didnโ€™t grasp Gyลซkiโ€™s urgency. "Illusions donโ€™t work on me! Break it for me, Gyลซki!"

"Donโ€™t be careless!" Gyลซkiโ€™s deep voice was grave. "This isnโ€™t an ordinary Sharingan. Bee, seize your chance!"

The massive, crimson eye cracked before Bee, and he quickly channeled his chakra, colliding it against Gyลซkiโ€™s raging energy. The force shattered the illusion, setting him free.

"Ha... ha..."

The colossal ox-head panted heavily, no longer daring to meet Obitoโ€™s gaze directly.

"Be careful from now on, Bee," Gyลซki warned. "Weโ€™ll only get this one chance!"

"Got it," Killer Bee replied, unusually serious.

A mocking voice echoed from behind Bee.

"Heh, I didnโ€™t expect you to break free from *his* genjutsu."

What? The fish-man isnโ€™t dead?!

Beeโ€™s tentacle-like tails lashed wildly, trying to locate Kisame, but the shark-man was already airborne, his massive Samehada sword slashing down.

Two of Beeโ€™s tails were severed in an instant before Samehada struck the ox-head squarely, paralyzing the Eight-Tailsโ€™ movements.

For a fleeting moment, Beeโ€™s mind went blank.

Boom!

The massive, scarlet eye appeared again, swallowing Bee and Gyลซki in a sea of darkness.

"Did we get him?" Kisame observed the now-frozen Eight-Tails beneath him and attempted to lift Samehada.

However, no matter how hard he pulled, Samehada refused to budge.

"Whatโ€™s going on?"

Looking down, Kisame saw that Samehada had latched onto the Eight-Tails, greedily sucking its chakra. Its sharp scales pierced deep into the beast, swelling as it consumed energy.

"This glutton..." Kisame sighed and let go. "Fine, eat your fill."

Obito approached, standing before the Eight-Tails.

First, he sealed the two severed tentacles into a scroll. Then, forming hand signs, his Sharingan gleamed ominously.

The Eight-Tailsโ€™ massive body began to shrink, collapsing in on itself as it was drawn back into Bee. Soon, Killer Bee lay unconscious, floating atop the waterโ€™s surface.

Samehada, now bloated with chakra, detached from the Eight-Tails and splashed into the water, circling Bee like a loyal dog.

"You..." Kisame growled, seeing Samehadaโ€™s behavior. "Traitorous sword!"

Samehada let out sharp, impatient screeches, rubbing against Beeโ€™s body as if reluctant to part with him.

"Madara," Kisame called out, irritated. "Letโ€™s leave. Iโ€™ve had enough of this gluttonโ€™s antics."

Obito nodded. "Itโ€™s just drawn to the Eight-Tailsโ€™ chakra. Pay it no mind."

Kisame glowered but grabbed Samehadaโ€™s hilt, hauling it away.

Obito activated his Mangekyล Sharingan, summoning a swirling vortex of space around Beeโ€™s unconscious body. As Bee began to vanish, Samehada quieted, reluctantly allowing Kisame to lift it.

As Kisame and Bee faded into the vortex, Obitoโ€™s ears twitched.

"Lariat!"

A voice roared above. Obito raised his head just in time to see a figure cloaked in crackling lightning descending at blinding speed.

The Fourth Raikage, Ay, struck with a devastating hand chop aimed at Obitoโ€™s neck.

Slash!

The attack passed through Obitoโ€™s intangible form, leaving him unharmed. Ay landed heavily and spun around, his sharp gaze locking onto Obito.

"Space-time ninjutsu?" Ay muttered, his tone serious.

Obito calmly faced him. "The Fourth Raikage."

"Youโ€™re from Akatsuki!" Ay growled, fury blazing in his eyes. "Hand over Bee!"

Swish! Swish! Swish!

The sound of rushing air accompanied the arrival of a squad of Kumo-nin, each wielding weapons and surrounding Obito in a tight formation.

"Raikage-sama," said Darui, stepping forward with a large sword in hand. "The escort team is in position, and the Anbu are mobilizing."

"Good," Ay replied, never taking his eyes off Obito. "But donโ€™t interfere yet."

"Understood."

Electric arcs surged around Ayโ€™s body, intensifying as his hair stood on end. His voice boomed like thunder.

"Where is Bee, my brother?!"

"Who knows?" Obito replied with a dismissive shrug.

"If you wonโ€™t talk, youโ€™ll die here!" Ayโ€™s lightning-infused aura crackled menacingly. "Iโ€™ll tear the truth out of your corpse!"

Boom!

In a flash, Ay appeared behind Obito, his movements nearly invisible.

Obito turned nonchalantly. "Impressive speed."

"I can fight like this all day," Ay growled, "but I doubt you can maintain that intangible state forever!"

Ayโ€™s attacks came relentlessly. Lightning-enhanced blows struck from every angle, passing harmlessly through Obitoโ€™s body.

Obitoโ€™s lone Sharingan spun continuously, calculating each move, but Ay showed no signs of slowing down.

This guyโ€™s persistence is troublesome, Obito thought.

In order to counterattack or retreat to the Kamui dimension, Obito would need to become tangible momentarilyโ€”an action Ayโ€™s speed would surely exploit.

Time ticked away.

Ayโ€™s hand flashed again, this time aiming for Obitoโ€™s throat.

Obito sidestepped, but Ay was already twisting midair, bringing down a thunderous kick.

Lightning exploded on impact, missing Obito by a hair as the Raikageโ€™s elbow pierced through his intangible chest.

Obitoโ€™s eye darted, searching for an opening.

There it is!

Ay leaped skyward for another strike, creating the moment Obito needed.

The masked manโ€™s body shifted, briefly becoming tangible as he sank into the ground, evading further attacks.

Ay landed heavily, his electrified fists clenched, scanning the area.

"Did he escape?" he muttered, his voice echoing over the rippling water.
