Chapter 274: Meeting the Parents

Arlen watched astonished, fighting his urge to laugh even in this situation. Ravi did not change to anything like a suit but he wore short-sleeved strip knit polo and trousers.

He looked so good but then again, his boyfriend looked good in everything that he wore.

"There might be combat." Arlen reminded him, also changing from his shorts and light cotton clothes to a training outfit, and then looked at Ravi.

The person he swore to always protect, it turned out does not need his protection but still, Arlen would not take his eyes off Ravi’s back. No matter how dangerous it was, they were returned safely.

"I can easily fix it back." However, he could not fix a bad impression. Ravi pulled out a chest from under his table.

He had sworn never to touch this chest after he came here but he had taken out something to reassure Asher and now he is taking out the very thing he hated for Arlen and Malik. Ravi did not regret it. Not one bit.

"What is that?"

"Everything I have. Had." Everything he had could fit into this one box. Arlen was curious and squatted right next to him.

The box was filled with all kinds of gadgets and strange items.

"May I?" Arlen asked and Ravi nodded a little eager. He wished to share this part of his life with Arlen. Telling him what each one was, when he used it, and what he used it for but they did not have much time.

Time was slowly leaving their side.

Arlen took out something that looked a bit like handcuffs; he turned to Ravi and wriggled his brows, causing Ravi to burst out laughing.

"It is a qi deprivation cuff, it cuts off access to spiritual energy, it works for other forms of energy too but the problem with it is that..."

"The energy of the person should not be too much. I would take it just in case." Arlen put it away, "Of course, if we don’t use it in combat, we can always use it in the...Ouch."

Ravi flipped his forehead and took out the ring in the box, the moment he put it on, the crest on his lower back glowed.

[Sentinel Crest Activating 10%...30%]

Ravi could feel his heart pounding, like the next moment he was going to hear a mission being assigned to him.

Arlen reached out and took his hand. He observed as Arlen spread his hand open, looking at it earnestly without speaking and Ravi could not help but laugh, "What is wrong, what are you looking for?"

"It is really good-looking. Your hand, I mean. The ring...it is a little ugly." Ravi laughed aloud. The gem on the Sentinel Crest ring was more valuable the higher you advanced on the list.

"Mm." Ravi agreed with him, it was a little ugly.

The box disappeared when he stood up and Arlen raised a brow, "The Sentinel Crest Ring is a storage space. It makes missions a little easier."

"That is really neat."

Ravi’s lips twitched and then he heard a familiar beep in his mind.

[Sentinel Crest Activating.

He was online.

Arlen noticed Ravi was quiet and he waited for him to finish before they both teleported.

They appeared in front of a huge white mansion. Ravi looked up, this was the place where Arlen had grown up.

"They would be at the dome."

"Dome?"

Arlen nodded. Soon enough, the two of them walked to a small greenhouse with a dome-shaped glass roof. It was considerably warmer inside the room and rays of sunshine beamed down from the charmed high ceiling.

Large palm trees and a wide variety of flowers that Rabi had never seen before breathed life into the room and gave it a sense of freshness.

A wicker table and five matching wingback armchairs surrounded the table.

Three people were sitting on the armchairs and the one in the middle quickly caught Ravi’s attention. She was beautiful with traces of age on her brows, her blue eyes were like a vast ocean without end and her movement when she weaved her hand for them to sit was filled with an innate, distinguished atmosphere.

She was not frowning yet she gave off an immeasurably deep and unfathomable aura.

This person was Lysandra Sinclair. The Matriarch of the Sinclair family and one of the most powerful people on this planet. And most importantly, Arlen’s mother.

Ravi felt a sharp intent next to her and he turned to the man sitting next to her. His face was set into a frown. Same nose and chin, this was General Julian Sinclair, Rey’s father.

There was a red sheen in his light green eyes. According to what Ravi had read, Julian did not grow up in the Capital. He had grown up on the outskirts, an illegitimate child who had carved his way back to the capital after years of killing and death battles. It had formed an incorrigible bloodlust that was impossible to hide from someone like Ravi.

"Mother. Papa." Arlen did not notice the dislike or the killing intent that was shown to his beloved lover. He hugged his mother and grinned as he bent to place a kiss on Julian’s cheeks.

He reached out to pull Ravi closer to himself, His blue eyes were bright as he particularly showed Ravi to Julian, "This is my boyfriend, Ravi West. Ravi, these are my parents. My Dad and my Pop are not here yet."

Julian looked at Ravi and nodded once. Lysandra still had the noble training of her youth so she could not be so standoffish, her lips twitched and she nodded at Ravi, "It is a pleasure. Have a seat."

She then turned to Arlen, "You are finally willing to come back."

Arlen pursed his lips.

"Who said that he would step foot in this house?"

Ravi frowned, this was not what he had envisioned when Arlen had told him all the stories of his family. Did they have a bad relationship? He did not want Arlen to be wronged.

He moved a little closer to Arlen when he heard a gentle voice, "Now, he has come back you have started scolding again, if he leaves, you will start complaining all night."
