I Am the Sweetheart of Mr. CEO-Chapter 602 - 600: This Really Tastes Great
A slender finger reached over, holding a tissue in between, passing it over.
Vera Wave looked up to see that Debbie Chantro, sitting on the other side, had already taken off her glasses. "You... you’re not nearsighted?"
"These are blue-light blocking glasses, for eye protection." Debbie Chantro smiled lightly, "I read too much and don’t want to strain my eyes."
The three girls chatted in the back, while Andre Colin looked at Vera Wave through the rearview mirror.
Meeting Kris Cooper’s gaze, he smiled reassuringly and shook his head gently at Kris Cooper.
Vera’s condition was better than he imagined; he was signaling to Kris Cooper not to worry.
Soon, several cars arrived at a bar in the city. Everyone got out of the cars separately, and Barry Gust spoke with confusion.
"It seems like they’re not open?"
She pointed with a raised hand, and everyone saw the ’Closed for Business’ sign in front of the bar.
"That’s exactly why we’re here!" Kris Cooper laughed as he walked up and pushed open the door, "Everyone, please!"
"This place is reserved by Cooper," Kenton Maverick explained in a voice neither too loud nor too soft, standing by her side.
"Oh, I see now." Barry Gust suddenly realized, "But... how did you know?"
Her brother Evan Gust shook his head helplessly, "Silly! Everyone knows, except you just didn’t think of it."
"Actually, I didn’t think of it either." Vera Wave reached out and took Barry’s arm, "Let’s go inside."
Barry made a funny face at her brother’s back and happily followed Vera into the bar.
Inside the bar, there were staff already waiting. As soon as they saw Kris Cooper and the others enter, they immediately led them to the private room upstairs.
In no time, fruits, pastries, and similar items were brought in and placed on the table, and everyone began ordering drinks.
"I don’t drink." Debbie Chantro looked at the drinks on the table and politely addressed the waiter, "Get me a glass of soda water."
"It’s fine, Debbie." Barry Gust winked at her, "If you don’t mention it, they won’t know you haven’t reached the legal drinking age yet."
Debbie Chantro was not yet twenty years old, so by law, she wasn’t of legal drinking age.
"You know my drinking capacity, it’s better if I just drink water." Debbie Chantro laughed.
"What’s the worst that could happen, getting drunk? We’re all here, what’s there to be afraid of?" Barry Gust said, shaking the glass in her hand, "I want Whiskey."
Just as she finished speaking, Kenton Maverick chimed in, "Get her a California Lemonade (Whiskey Cocktail)."
"I don’t want that; I want pure Whiskey with ice!"
Kenton Maverick turned his face seriously towards her, "That taste isn’t good; you won’t handle it and you’ll get drunk. California Lemonade’s flavor suits you better!"
Meeting his bright, dark eyes, Barry Gust pouted, "Alright, California Lemonade!"
At this point, everyone else ordered their favorite drinks as well, and Kris Cooper ordered a lemonade for Vera Wave.
A moment later, when the drinks arrived, he mixed their drinks together, just like old times, and gave her half.
"Come on, let’s toast to Kris and Vera, for old dreams rekindled!" Barry Gust was the first to lead.
Everyone raised their glasses to clink with the newly registered couple.
After clinking glasses, each took a sip from their own drink, and Barry Gust tasted the drink in her glass and nodded immediately.
"Brother Kenton, this is really good!"
"Of course it is." Vera Wave grinned mischievously, "Little Feather knows Little Bug’s taste the best!"
