Kris Cooper recognized the figure and couldn’t help but call out softly.

Without thinking, he quickened his pace and jogged over.

Behind, Ria Chapman saw Vera Wave right in front of her, only a horse’s length away from overtaking her. Yet, this final horse’s length felt like a chasm she couldn’t cross.

At this point, her Mongolian Horse had already expended too much energy in previous sprints, unable to hold its own against Vera’s Bailey.

Raising her face, she looked at the red hat hanging on the rail not far away. Ria Chapman gritted her teeth and abruptly pulled the reins, taking her horse to the inner ring.

There was a turn up ahead, her last chance.

If she could grab the shortest distance through the bend, she might still surpass Vera Wave.

Ria Chapman successfully squeezed into the inner track, using the bend’s gap to finally ride side by side with Vera Wave.
