Chapter 383: Chapter 383: So Heartless (1)

"When you were little I bathed you, why didn’t you say I was invading your privacy?" Bailey Hansen’s tone was anything but sympathetic, "You’re my son, I’m your mom, go ahead and sue me if you dare?!"

Kris Cooper chuckled softly, "I wouldn’t dare, wouldn’t dare! I still have work to do, I’ll get busy now."

"Go on then, don’t stay up late tonight, take care of yourself."

"Got it."

Putting away his phone, Kris Cooper turned to the table and picked up the thick stack of documents again, carefully flipping through them.

On the other end of the line, it was the middle of the night on the other side of the world.

Bailey Hansen handed the phone to Christoper Cooper, and reached over to take Vera Wave’s photo from the table.

"Vera Wave? I must say, the name matches our son well, the young girl looks quite lovely, and to be able to come up with such brilliant plans, she must be quite intelligent..." She relaxed her back, leaning against the sofa, studying the photo in her hand thoughtfully, "Looks like our son is really going to get married!"

Lifting the hand resting on the sofa to cover her shoulder, Christoper Cooper leaned over, tugging her T-shirt off her shoulder, gently brushing her white shoulder with his nose.

"What, feeling reluctant?"

Bailey Hansen pouted, "After all the effort of raising him, I can’t compete with a young girl in just a month, it’s really frustrating to think about!"

"True, how heartless of him!" Christoper Cooper turned his face, lightly biting her neck, "How about... we have another one and forget about him?"

"Get up..." Bailey Hansen raised her hand to push him away, "You’re such a rogue! No way... I need to find out more about these six years apart..."

As she spoke, she reached for the phone, but before she could grab it, Christoper Cooper held her hand back.

"You were worried when he didn’t have a girlfriend, now that he has one, what’s there to worry about? Just let the young couple handle their own matters and spend more time on your husband... Couples need to communicate deeply often, or the relationship will be affected."

Pinned to the sofa by him, Bailey Hansen only raised her hand to punch him.

"You’re going to be a grandpa soon, still this shameless?"

"That just means your man hasn’t lost his touch, many women would love for this, you know!" He said, as his hand slipped under her clothes, "Come on, let’s have some sign language communication, my dear Bailey."

...

...

The car drove into the villa area, stopping in front of the entrance.

The assistant opened the car door, and Liliana Davis and Nathan Leafcastle got out from either side.

The assistant went to unlock the door, while Liliana Davis walked around the car to support her son’s shoulders.

"Rest well at home today, go into work tomorrow. Your career is important, but health is the foundation of a revolution."

"I know."

The two of them went upstairs together, but Nathan Leafcastle didn’t head to the bedroom and instead went straight to the study room.

Liliana Davis hurried to stop him.

"What are you up to now?"

"I’m just checking an email." Nathan Leafcastle paused, giving her a reassuring smile, "Don’t worry about me, I’ve been lying in a hospital for days, if I keep it up, I’ll definitely conjure up an illness out of thin air."

"Alright then!" Liliana Davis chuckled, "You go on, I’ll get you a bowl of soup."

Nathan Leafcastle nodded, entered the study room, and sat down at the desk to turn on the computer.

As the computer booted up, his gaze naturally drifted over to the photo frame on the desk.

The photo in the frame was the same one from Vera Wave’s album.
