I Am the Sweetheart of Mr. CEO-Chapter 380: The Woman Who Wants to Be the President’s Wife (3)
"Alright, but try to hurry, so I can arrange to help you book the flight."
"Okay."
After hanging up Rowan Nichols’ call, Vera Wave immediately dialed Kris Cooper’s cell phone. The call was picked up after just one ring, and Vera briefly explained the situation to him.
"The crew wants me to leave by Saturday. When are Uncle and Aunt coming back?"
Kris Cooper thought for a moment, "Then come to my house on Friday night, and I’ll take you to the airport on Saturday."
"Okay." Vera replied with a smile, "There’s one more thing, I got nominated for Manager today."
"Congratulations! But what does nomination mean? I don’t remember the company having such a system."
She chuckled, "Originally, Director Lin wanted me to be the Manager, but someone questioned me, so now we’re competing for the position."
"Are you confident?"
The little girl clenched her fist, "I’m going to be the president’s wife. If I can’t even beat someone for the Manager position, wouldn’t that be too weak? This time, I’m going to give it my all!"
On the other end of the phone, Kris Cooper laughed.
"Alright then... go for it, dear. I’m at your service if you need anything!"
"Hehe!" The little girl chuckled, "I’ll be working overtime tonight, so I won’t have time to accompany you. Is that okay with you?"
"No problem."
"You’re the best, hubby. Mwah, a kiss for you. I’m off to work now!"
Listening to her hang up, Kris Cooper smiled and put his phone away.
Previously, he had been worried that their relationship being exposed would affect her performance, but now it seemed his worries were unnecessary.
The little girl had finally returned to her former state, confident and happy.
Turning his face to the vibrant spring day outside the car window, Kris Cooper also showed a bright smile, "What plans do we have this weekend?"
Tommy Taylor turned around, "The Glimmer Vanora Building completion ceremony is this weekend, you need to attend the ribbon-cutting."
Kris Cooper nodded, "Don’t schedule anything else; I want a day off."
"Understood."
Tommy Taylor responded and turned back.
By this time, the car had already arrived at the foot of the Ashton Building.
Tommy Taylor got out and opened the car door, and Kris Cooper stepped out and walked into the building.
After attending a meeting in the Conference Room, he returned to his office and immediately turned on his computer, logged into his email, and opened an email he had received the previous night.
After downloading the attachment, he was just about to examine the document in detail when Tommy Taylor came in with two files.
"These are the two contracts mentioned in the meeting. Please take a look."
Tommy Taylor placed the contracts on the table, Kris Cooper pressed the print button, and after receiving the documents, Tommy Taylor walked over to compile the printed documents into a booklet and placed it on the table.
After Kris Cooper reviewed and signed the contracts, he brought over another document.
"This is the person you asked me to investigate."
Kris Cooper took the file and opened it. On the topmost page was a photo of a poised and elegant woman, Nathan Leafcastle’s mother, Liliana Davis.
"Nathan Leafcastle’s parents divorced when he was sixteen, and he went to Australia with his mother. Later, he studied in Singapore, and Liliana Davis also moved from Australia to Singapore to work. She worked in a Real Estate Company before entering politics six years ago, and is currently the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Energy and Environment in Singapore," Tommy Taylor briefly introduced Liliana Davis’ background. "Is there anything else you want to know?"
