I Am the Sweetheart of Mr. CEO-Chapter 369 - 370: The Young Master Will Take Good Care of You (3)
Some things are deeply ingrained in one’s very bones.
As a spoiled princess from a young age, Vera Wave’s capriciousness would only fully manifest itself in his presence.
Kris Cooper smirked. He stretched out his large hand, supported her waist, and pulled her onto him.
"Since you want to be on top so much, I’ll indulge you this time!"
The once commanding little miss instantly turned red.
"I..."
Gently cradling her small face in his large hands, Kris Cooper spoke softly.
"Didn’t you say you were going to pamper me? Are you backing out now?"
His voice was teasing, yet his amber eyes shone with deep affection. Gazing into them, she found herself unable to utter a word of refusal.
Her small hands cupped his face as she leaned in and initiated a kiss.
A wise, broad forehead; thick, beautiful eyebrows; amber eyes that sparkled like gems; a prominent nose... And finally, his lips.
She kissed him with careful earnestness, afraid her clumsiness might make him uncomfortable.
At first, he lay still, letting her take the lead. But as her kisses trailed to his ear, he could resist no longer, his arms tightening around her, pulling her closer.
Later, they returned, fresh from a shower together.
The one who had spiritedly offered to be his workhorse, the once imperious ’Little Master,’ was now utterly limp and powerless, her stomach GROWLING in protest.
Hearing her stomach’s complaint, Kris Cooper reached for his phone and dialed the restaurant across from Ashton to order food.
The restaurant’s food was merely average, but its proximity meant she could eat sooner.
At first, Vera Wave snuggled, eyes half-closed as she lazed in his arms.
As she heard him place the order, a thought suddenly crossed her mind.
"Oh no!"
She hurriedly sat up and reached to grab the clothes he had carelessly tossed onto the corner of the bed.
"What’s wrong?" Kris Cooper asked, puzzled.
"I promised to have dinner with Merlin Bradley and the others! They must still be waiting for me!" She had barely grabbed her clothes when he snatched them away. "What are you doing?!"
Kris Cooper chuckled, looking at her huddled under the blanket. "It’s so late; they’ve probably left long ago."
Has it been that long?
She glanced around, her gaze falling upon the window. Her eyes widened in surprise.
Outside the window, the night had settled in deeply. A glance revealed the glorious city nightscape.
But because the room was lit and she had been so caught up in her excitement, she hadn’t noticed how quickly time had slipped away.
"What time is it?"
Kris Cooper glanced at his phone screen. "Eight-thirty!"
"Eight-thirty?!" Vera Wave echoed, her mind reeling. She hadn’t even gotten off work by then! That meant they had been here for over three hours. How could it feel like only a moment had passed?!
He sat her up and reached for the thin blanket, wrapping it around her shoulders. He placed a gentle kiss on her shoulder before pulling the blanket tighter.
"You’re covered in sweat. Don’t catch a cold."
Seeing him get up, she hastily averted her gaze, only to sneak another look a moment later.
The man’s back looked as if sculpted by a master artist. He had long legs and a perfectly formed inverted triangle shape to his back. His waist and back were solid, without excessive musculature—everything was just right. His physique was easily on par with any model she had seen in fashion magazine spreads.
Vera Wave’s gaze drifted lower, lingering on his waist.
There were two small indentations on the man’s lower back, just above his hips. Those must be the legendary ’back dimples,’ she mused, resting her chin on her hand.
