Chapter 346: Chapter 346: Stunning the Entire Audience (Part 10)

Although Kris Cooper has just returned to the country not long ago, he is undeniably the prospective successor of the Ashton Company. These senior executives have all had interactions with him before his ascent.

On stage, Merlin Bradley began to speak.

"Now, let’s welcome Kate Palmer, the advertising director of Ashton Company, to deliver a speech on stage."

Kate Palmer rose and walked onto the stage. Though nearly forty years old, she maintained herself very well, appearing just about thirty. Her long hair was elegantly pinned up, and she wore a simple black gown that accentuated her refined and graceful appearance.

Taking the microphone from Merlin Bradley’s hand, she smiled as she looked around and promptly moved on to the subject after a brief greeting.

"As times progress and cities develop, our Ashton Company has always been dedicated to offering everyone the best choices. For decades, we’ve never ceased our efforts, and the future will be no different... Today, I stand here just to set the stage, and now let’s all take a look at how the fresh blood in our Planning Department, Miss Vera Wave, introduces this project to everyone."

The lights dimmed, and the large screen on stage lit up.

After a flurry of static, an elderly man appeared in an old film-like quality.

"My name is Emma Davis, and I’m the oldest resident of Peaceful Community, eighty-seven years old this year..." The elderly lady wiped her tears, "I don’t want to move."

The screen switched to a little girl.

"My name is Yuyu, apartment 302 in Unit 2 is my home. I heard this place is about to be demolished. Could you not cut down that tree? A family of magpies lives there, and if the tree is cut down, they won’t have a place to stay..."

Then several different residents appeared on the screen, sincerely expressing their reluctance to leave their homes. The narration voice chimed in.

"After today, this fifty-year-old community will be rebuilt, with three thousand five hundred and seventy-nine households temporarily leaving their homes, but this is not a farewell. It’s a better return for the future..."

Using this as a focal point, the ensuing promotional video succinctly explained the project’s plan and vision in a brief time. Finally, all actors appeared together, standing with the previously shown resident representatives under the old tree, watching a pair of magpies settle in the nest in the tree.

As the promotional video concluded, the resident representatives attending the event were all brought to tears.

Sitting below the stage, the government department’s project person in charge also nodded with misty eyes. The promotional video perfectly showcased the theme of this project—not demolition, but habitation, offering everyone a warmer and more comfortable home.

Below the stage, Kris Cooper led the applause.

For a moment, the applause was thunderous.

Even though he had offered some guidance and modifications to Vera Wave, the finished promotional product far exceeded Kris Cooper’s expectations.

"How is it?" Kris Cooper nudged Kenton Maverick’s arm next to him, "My team is good, right?"

Though he could not say much with his subordinates around, he could not conceal the pride in his heart.

Kenton Maverick, typically sparing with words, also nodded lightly.

"Well done, creative."

For Kenton Maverick, a big name in the entertainment industry, who had overseen countless major film productions, a promotional film that could earn his nod naturally spoke volumes about its quality.

Inside, the lights came on.

Another figure had appeared on stage, dressed in a faint silver gown, her hair cascading like silk down her back. The simple dress perfectly outlined her curvaceous figure.
