Chapter 295: Chapter 259: Subduing the Jumping Corpse

Sang Que had Luo Dayong follow her, and the two instantly teleported through the wall from the side.

Once inside and seeing clearly the situation in the distance, Luo Dayong was so shocked he almost cried out.

In the darkness, dozens of zombies covered in white hair quietly surrounded a house, all standing with their heads lowered and motionless. There were two blood holes on their necks, evidently bitten by zombies.

A faint candlelight seeped out from the house, projecting the shadows of some people onto the papered wooden window.

Sang Que looked around but did not see the Red-clothed Female Zombie.

"Find a high spot to hide first."

Sang Que instructed, and then walked straight towards the group of zombies from her hiding spot. She was no longer the weakling she used to be, with nothing to fear.

As Sang Que approached, the White-haired Zombies surrounding the house sensed her aura, turned around in succession, and lifted their arms to jump towards her.

Sang Que grabbed an ordinary long knife she had picked up in the village, and with one strike, the White-haired Zombie in front of her was decapitated.

Had it not been for the Red-clothed Female Zombie’s unique nature, it would take around seven days for someone freshly bitten by a zombie to turn into a mobile White-haired Zombie.

These White-haired Zombies, apart from being able to jump and move with slightly more strength, naturally hunted live humans, but their physical quality was similar to that of ordinary people; common knives and fire could defeat them.

The head of a White-haired Zombie flew off, and Sang Que crouched down to chop off the legs of the headless corpse opposite her, otherwise it would continue jumping without a head.

A multitude of White-haired Zombies surged forward, but Sang Que maneuvered skillfully, weaving through them with ease, targeting their legs, and with each strike knocking one down.

The people inside perceived the commotion, and hurriedly gathered at the window to poke a hole in the paper and peek outside.

Luo Dayong climbed onto a rooftop and, witnessing the scene, was left speechless; he had never seen such skillful martial prowess from a woman.

Clearly a Yin Walker, yet fighting into a group of zombies one by one with a knife, without the powers of the supernatural, expressionless like a goddess of war.

Luo Dayong watched intently, but a gust of cold wind carrying the stench of death suddenly swept from behind, freezing him in place. A corner of a red gauzy skirt floated towards him, with something approaching his neck.

Cold sweat trickled down Luo Dayong’s temple. He gritted his teeth, turned around and threw the Human Bone Dice he had been holding, without looking at what was happening, rolling to the ground off the rooftop.

The Human Bone Dice struck the Red-clothed Female Zombie, bounced to the ground, showing three dots.

"Lady warrior!!"

Luo Dayong shouted in panic. Sang Que kicked away the White-haired Zombie in front of her, and turned to see the Red-clothed Female Zombie descending from the sky, lightly landing on the ground.

Enemy meets face to face, intensely mournful.

The Red-clothed Female Zombie seemed to remember Sang Que, and upon Sang Que’s turning, let out a furious snarl in her direction.

Having been imprisoned for long in the Evil Ghost Bureau, the Red-clothed Female Zombie lacked sufficient blood food, making her skin shrivel like parched bark, her hair disheveled, white, and dusted with dried leaves. Her clothing had become so tattered it barely covered her.

The female zombie extended her claws with long black nails, crushing one White-haired Zombie’s head in a single claw, then swung at Sang Que.

Sang Que dodged backward, as the Deceitful Bride suddenly appeared in front of her, adorned in a bright red bridal gown, no pins in her hair, nor shoes on her feet, and no jade pendants weighing the corners of her skirt, very simple and clean.

The Deceitful Bride stood there, causing the force of the female zombie’s swinging claw to encounter strong resistance, unable to advance further.

In their initial clash, the Deceitful Bride gained the upper hand.

Before the female zombie could retreat, the Deceitful Bride’s veil flew and landed on the female zombie, who trembled as if electrified, her raised arms slowly lowering, suppressed by the veil.

Deadly strike!

Sang Que hurriedly teleported to the female zombie’s back, daringly making hand contact with the female zombie’s body, swiftly imprinting a Ghost Slave Seal on her.

The Ghost Slave Seal imprinted through contact formed quickly, and was strong.

Sang Que felt like she was touching a solid chunk of cold ice, with that chill condensing into frost on her hand, fiercely resisting her power.

Powerless, Sang Que had to sever the Ghost Slave Seal connections previously made on other bandits, concentrating all her power on the female zombie.

With the veil’s suppression, the Ghost Slave Seal was ultimately completed successfully.

Through the Ghost Slave Seal on the female zombie, with a thought from Sang Que, the legless zombies flopping around on the ground settled down, lying flat obediently.

Several others with intact legs also lowered their arms, remaining motionless.

The veil flew back onto the Deceitful Bride’s head, covering her frightening face. Sang Que instructed the Deceitful Bride to leave, but she refused, turning towards the house behind.

Her meaning was that there were handsome men inside whom she desired.

Every time Wan Xiangtou used the Deceitful Bride, he would quickly find her a handsome man to play with, and the Deceitful Bride had become accustomed to this cooperation method.

But things were different now; Sang Que was firm in her stance and forcibly sent the Deceitful Bride away.

The Ghost Slave Seal had just formed, and the female zombie was still somewhat struggling, twitching on the spot occasionally. It would take a while before she’d be completely obedient.

One female zombie occupied almost thirty positions of the Ghost Slave Seal.

"It’s safe now; you can come out."

Sang Que called towards the house. After hesitating for a moment, someone finally opened the door a crack, showing half a face to observe.

The inside of the door was covered with a thick layer of glutinous rice that was nearly completely blackened.

This could only hold off ordinary White-haired Zombies, but for the jumping corpse that is the female zombie, getting inside was easy, though this group was fortunate; the female zombie had killed dozens, satisfied her hunger, and decided to rest, hence not targeting them immediately.

"Brother! Where are you, brother!"

Luo Dayong scrambled over and pushed the door open, rushing inside, and found Luo Danian.

Luo Danian’s arm had been clawed by a zombie, the wound exposing flesh, the blood turned blue, and his entire arm had already become so cold that he couldn’t move it.

The room was packed, with over sixty people squeezed inside, excluding those killed outside and those out on tasks; the entire village’s living folks were there.

Sang Que saw among them several women and children, quite rare compared to the other three villages.

Children were seen as burdens by bandits, women mere toys for pleasure, most bandits indulged only in their carefree lives.

When Sang Que first encountered Luo Dayong, she scanned him with her Ghost Eye, seeing he had killed people—passersby, poor, wealthy, and even government soldiers. Upon reflection, it seemed never older, weaker women or children.

Could these two brothers be righteous bandits?

Sang Que temporarily suppressed her thoughts, retrieving her Human Bone Dice.

Three dots? It seems Luo Dayong’s hidden money isn’t plentiful!

"My brother and I, leading the whole village, thank the lady warrior for saving our lives!"

Luo Dayong supported Luo Danian, leading the others from inside, all knelt before Sang Que, bowing with gratitude.

Sang Que’s heart, replaced by village resentment, couldn’t directly feel the Heart Lamp’s strengthening now.

"Stand up, if you have kerosene, burn those White-haired Zombies with broken legs quickly, and leave the intact ones for now."

Luo Danian endured the excruciating pain on his arm, quietly instructed others to comply.

Luo Dayong had been thoroughly overwhelmed by Sang Que at this point, to the extent of blind admiration, pulling his brother along, he spoke to Sang Que, "Lady warrior, please save my brother, his corpse poison cannot be extracted with glutinous rice!"

Sang Que approached to inspect, finding Luo Danian’s arm injuries had directly clawed by the female zombie, with corpse poison rushing towards the heart. If it reached the heart, Luo Danian would ultimately turn into a White-haired Zombie.

Ordinary corpse poison could be extracted by applying glutinous rice, soaking in warm water mixed with black dog blood, and replacing the glutinous rice multiple times until the poison was pulled out.

The female zombie, a special type bred by Qu Tianhe using the Fish Woman’s power, had a unique corpse poison, causing those bitten to transform into White-haired Zombies rapidly.

Sang Que had briefly reviewed the "Corpse Nourishing Secret Technique" over the past couple of days. Combining the Yin Child’s assembling ability, she had an idea.

"You have two choices now: either chop off this arm to prevent the corpse poison from reaching the heart, although it might be too late."

"What about the second option?"

Luo Dayong impatiently asked, as his brother was the steel ax wielder; originally a martial arts instructor in Pu’an County, losing an arm would equate to self-destroying martial arts prowess.

Sang Que produced two pieces of red nails previously scraped by the Yin Child from the Deceitful Bride.

"The second option also requires risk-taking. I can attempt to fuse a yin object into your arm, using the power of the yin object to counterbalance the corpse poison. With luck, you can keep the arm and gain the power of the yin object."
