I Am The Only Witch Hunter-Chapter 348: Siderius’s Path
From Mirage Blade and Anu Style, Siderius understood more about Spirit Art.
The core concept that made Spirit Art was purpose. And to achieve your purpose, there is no fuel as suitable as will power.
The Body needed physical energy. The Soul needed knowledge. And the Spirit needed a purpose.
Anu Style's purpose wasn't honesty. It's to never live with regret.
Mirage Blade wasn't obsession. It's dedication to the sword.
Regulus finally understood his purpose. That was to be the greatest swordsman on top of a mountain that no one could reach. His purpose was greatness.
When he understood that, he knew that his humility was what was holding him back. But he had completed his psyche now. The gentle humble wanderer was gone. Now there was only the swordsman that wanted to kill everyone with his blade or be killed by it. He had changed.
Siderius' path was not either of those. His path was always the same. It was to defeat the only true thing in every world. To beat death.
Ashe was practicing with the stone sword at the lakeshore when she sensed something. It was slightly different from when she reached Silver Alchemist.
Ashe looked over to the wooden cabin where Siderius was kneeling. His sword ascended. It had become a gold shiny color.
He was a Gold Alchemist now. But he didn't stop there.
His overflowing spirit channeled the power from both of his mutation and gold soul to form his Steel of Will.
Regulus stood and watched everything. He saw the Steel formed inside Siderius' psyche and took shape instantly. What took years to accomplish had been finished by Siderius within a few hours.
Siderius opened his eyes. Both of his Body and Soul became more powerful thanks to His Spirit.
Regulus clapped his hands, "Wonderful! You're truly a talented Spirit Swordsman."
Siderius smiled gently. "It was simply the result of years of dedication. Similar to you."
"Surely. But you can't deny you have some talents."
Siderius nodded.
He stood up. The Silver Hawk appeared on his back as he grabbed it.
Willpower leaked out of his skin. A new form of energy that Siderius didn't have much experience with.
His willpower was the same color as his soul, a golden hue. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
The gold formed a faint outline of the Silver Hawk. Siderius sliced toward the sky. A gold beam shot out. It shrieked through the air and cut through the cloud above.
"Holy." Regulus widened his eyes. He had never seen a first rank swordsman that was this powerful.
Spirit is the bridge between the Body and the Soul. By having his body enhanced with mutation and his Soul enlightened by the Truth-Seeking Path, Siderius's Spirit became an unprecedented case of prowess.
"You are as powerful as a second rank Swordsman if I have to be honest." Regulus said.
Siderius nodded. Alchemist Rank was mostly non-combatant. Alchemical Seal and Sigil could be used in combat but they weren't pure combat prowess like Mutation. But now with Spirit, it had changed. The power of his soul translated directly to his physical power.
But there was more to be done. "We'll be leaving soon, Master Minorius."
Regulus nodded, "Me too as well. I need to find my path out there, Master Satterblade. I need to find more swordsmen to challenge. It is my path."
Regulus had begun to address Siderius as Master Satterblade. It was his own way of saying that they're on the same level.
"I have a way to make you even stronger, Master Minorius."
"Is it related to the color of your willpower?"
Siderius nodded.
"Master Satterblade. You should know that I rejected all those Great Houses for a reason. I don't want to become a pawn on a political board."
"Maybe. But we will have to make a choice soon or later. We can't always stand a side and watch life go by.
I will teach you Silver Soul. It is a way to enhance your own soul. I ask for nothing in return. But if one day, you want more. You know where to find me."
"No catch?"
"No catch." Siderius smiled.
Of course there was a catch. Regulus's purpose was to be the strongest. When he learned the power of the Truth-Seeking Path, he would want more. It was in his nature.
Siderius would go to war with the Kingdom of Witches sooner or later. He'd need as many generals as he could collect.
Regulus was a perfect honorable general.
Siderius spent the next few days teaching Regulus on how to convert his knowledge into True Aether. Regulus didn't study the world. But he studied the sword extensively. That knowledge could also be used to walk the path.
Regulus in exchange taught Siderius the remaining two ranks of his Mirage Blade, the Forge of Flame and the Blade of Spirit.
Siderius also used those few days to modify his S.Y.S.T.E.M. The silver bracer didn't show the rank of his Spirit before.

"My Psychosis Tolerance went up a lot. I could try to transplant a more dangerous mutation now."
Siderius smiled looking at the status window. He added the willpower attribute, a mental capacity that wasn't relevant to alchemist or witch hunter at all in the previous world.
But here, it was power. And his huge amount of willpower showed.
"I also have two new Sigil Slots. I should find time to add them eventually."
Ashe also managed to step into the realm of Spirit Swordsman. Siderius taught her to use her soul to train her spirit similar to him. But it would cost her quite a bit of time to reach it.
The next day.
"This is farewell, Master Minorius. I hope you'll find your greatness on your path." Siderius waved to Regulus.
Regulus also had a satchel on him. He was also leaving the Thorn Basin.
"Farewell, Master Satterblade. I'll hope you complete your own sword style soon. I know you can do it."
They fist pumped each other before going their separate ways.
