I am Just an Average Tamer-Chapter 152: xxx
Selina stood frozen for a moment—caught between Kai’s presence pressed behind her and the heavy tension still thick in the air from Ryane’s confrontation.
Kai’s lips brushed close to her ear as he said, low and steady,"You’re the guild master, not him.If you don’t want him here—tell him to leave."
Ryane stepped forward a pace, jaw clenched, voice tight."Selina, you don’t have to listen to him. He’s manipulating you—again."
Kai’s laugh was soft, almost pitiful."Still pretending you matter? Cute."
Selina finally stirred. Her hand gripped Kai’s arm around her waist, then loosened. She turned her head slightly, not quite looking at either of them directly.
Then—her voice calm, cool, practiced:
"Ryane... leave. That’s an order."
He stood still, blinking. "What...?"
"Please don’t make me repeat myself." Her tone stayed neutral, but her eyes flickered—just for a moment—toward the floor. "This is... my decision."
A heavy silence fell.
Ryane’s fists tightened. His throat worked as if trying to form words he couldn’t find. Then, slowly, he turned and walked out. Not another word.
Once the door shut, Selina’s shoulders dropped the slightest bit.
Kai’s hand curled around her hip as he spoke softly against her ear.
"Good girl."
She didn’t answer—but she didn’t move away either.
Selina’s hands finally pressed against Kai’s chest, firmer this time.
"Kai... stop."Her voice cracked—barely above a whisper.
He didn’t move. His arm still draped around her waist, his face still buried just at the curve of her neck.
"Why?" he murmured, his breath warm against her skin."You didn’t stop me a second ago."
She swallowed hard. Her heart thundered in her chest.
"Because... Ryane’s watching."The words felt heavier than they should’ve.More like an excuse than conviction.
Kai leaned back just enough to look at her face, still holding her gently in place. His blindfold brushed her cheek, but his voice was razor-sharp.
"So if he wasn’t watching... you’d still be quiet?"A smirk tugged the edge of his lips."Would you beg me not to stop, then?"
Her cheeks burned—part fury, part shame."Don’t twist it, Kai—"
He cut her off, voice lower now, darker.
"I’m not twisting anything. You already made your choice the moment you let me touch you again."
Her breath hitched. She wanted to deny it—but her trembling fingers still rested on his chest.
Then his hand lifted slowly and brushed her hair behind her ear.
"So tell me to stop," he said again, quieter."But mean it this time."
She hesitated—staring at him, at the marks he’d left, at Ryane’s stiff silhouette in the doorway, at the storm in her own chest.
Ryane had just reached the threshold of the hall, steps rigid, when suddenly—
CRACK.
His knees buckled. A crushing weight slammed down on him—unseen, unbearable—and his limbs twisted under the pressure.
"AAGHH—!" he screamed, collapsing to the floor as his body was pinned like a fly under a glass pane. Bones cracked—first his forearms, then his shoulder blades as gravity intensified unnaturally.
Selina turned sharply, eyes widening in horror."Kai! What are you—?!"
Kai hadn’t moved from the chair. He still sat leisurely, Selina half on his lap, his blindfolded eyes aimed vaguely toward Ryane.
His voice was calm. Empty.
"He didn’t kneel. I don’t like disrespect."
"Kai—stop it!" Selina’s voice rose, sharp. She tried to pull away from his lap, but he caught her wrist.
"He raised his voice to you. He lingered after being dismissed. And he looked at you like you were his to protect."
Selina shook her head, her breath uneven."You’ll kill him—!"
Kai exhaled. Then—just as suddenly as it had started—the pressure lifted. Ryane gasped, body twitching on the floor, barely conscious, limbs shaking.
Kai’s grip loosened from her wrist.
"Fine. He’s alive. That’s more than I planned."
Selina scrambled to her feet, rushing to Ryane, her voice tight with panic as she crouched beside him. "Ryane... Ryane, look at me—stay with me..."
Kai didn’t move.
Just tilted his head back, blindfold catching the light, and murmured:
"You should thank me. He got off light."
Selina froze as Kai’s whisper coiled into her ear like a low, rumbling warning.
"Choose now," he said, voice deceptively soft, the edge of steel buried beneath calm."Stay... or leave."
Her breath hitched. His fingers had just let go, her body no longer anchored to his lap—but his words rooted her harder than any grip.
She stood slowly, facing away from him, the room dead silent save for Ryane’s faint, pained gasps on the floor.
Selina didn’t turn. Her hands clenched at her sides. Her heart pounded.
Kai didn’t repeat himself.
Then—without looking back—she stepped forward, away from him.
But after only three strides, she stopped.
She spoke, low but sharp:"If I leave... you’ll tear everything down."
Kai said nothing.
She turned her head slightly, eyes half-shadowed."And if I stay... you’ll tear me down instead."
A faint smirk ghosted over Kai’s lips.
Selina exhaled shakily, gaze flicking once to Ryane. Then she turned fully back toward Kai.
"Fine," she said. "Then let’s see which one of us breaks first."
PROLOGUE
Earthlings had grown very exceptional in the technology, with everday growing tech they lose faith and belief in Gods.
They started to think that they are superior beings then others, with advance quantum physics they can instantly teleport to any part of world which they explored.
There is nothing unexplored under the seas, and in the space.
They are so confidednt in their advance tech that they can easily conqurer any civilization, although they managed to conqurer
the civilizations that had attacked the earth in the past.
They started to think that they are now invincible and no one can cause them any harm, so after conquring few alien civilazations they had gone bored.
They became so much agnorant in their tech that they started to think that conquering another civilazations was just a work of weaklings.
They wanted to see that Heaven or Hell are real or not, they did their best to connect their spactial tech gate to heaven but they failed,
they tried again and again but didn’t succeed. Their belief became reality that Gods didn’t exist and stuff like Hell or Heaven are all lies.
But still due to Human nature they tried connecting their spacial tech gadget to Hell, and you know what....., this time it actually connected.
At first they want to just explore it but due to their agnorance they thought that sightseeing was just childish because now they possess high tech
and advance weapons which they hadn’t used in real battle due to lack of stronger enemies or aliens in the space.
So they decided to do something unimaginable, what they wanted now is to conquer "Hell". That was their grave mistake that lead to their downfall.
After successfully connecting they started to make preparations for their surprise attack.
But before they know "Hell’s" gate broke out and "DEMONS" were out for blood of those fools who really thought that they could conquer Hell.
Demons started killing humans that came in their sight, they slaughtered the fools who connected Earth to Hell’s gate.
These nerds weren’t prepared for battle so they died after the broke out of Hell’s Gate.
When the military came to scene they immediatlely killed these demons with their latest tech, but before they could enjoy their victory more
demons came out of gate.
Military attacked them but unlike others it didn’t even put a scarth on them. Humanity’s greatest weapons failed against the higher demons.
That day remember the quote "There is always someone stronger than you", but that was too late for them for some reason they were not able to
close the gate and higher demons strated tourturing and killing them.
That ignorance and foolishness almost caused the extinction of the Human race, if it weren’t for those who knew that they had no chance
against these beings and Opened the gate to migrate to another planet named "Kepler-452b",(after aliens first attacked earth humans made 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
some preparations that they could migrate to this planet if something happens to earth, but thanks to AI advancement in tech become so high that they were able to fend of them)
When some Humans Managed to transfer themselves to another planet named Kepler-452b, an Arch Demons sealed their way of escape. With this everyone thought
that it’s over and humanity is gonna fall but something imaginable happened.
Even though almost all humans only believe in Tech and science, there are very little people who still believed in "Gods". Due to the pleasings of a
poor young boy Gods mercifully granted their beleivers with a bit of their powers (called "Mana") so that they can avoid the extinction of Human Race.
They became the Wall for humanity, fighting demons with their holy and light magic which was granted to them by Gods, with them Humans found a
little hope of surviving that apocalypse, people started calling them "Pillars of Humanity".
They were able to fend off and even defeat high level Demons because of their deep faith in Gods, which drastically increased the power of their
holy magic.
