I Am Genie-Chapter 76: Michael’s ’Dark’ Future
Michael stared wide-eyed at Leo. His mouth was open so wide you could fit a few eggs in at once.
Leo felt a bit guilty scratching his head being looked at like this. It’s true that his actions were pretty similar to tying Michael up and putting him over a fire to roast. But this roasting wouldn’t kill Michael, it would make him stronger.
Dragon God’s knowledge foundation was extremely good, when it came to using energy she was even a bit better than him.
Through talking he also found out that when you become a god you naturally know how to actively use energy like this. That was also the reason why Dragon God was initially surprised when she saw Leo could use this technique.
She saw Leo and Michael as Martial God and Slaughter God but that doesn’t mean she didn’t know that they and those two gods were completely different existences.
For this reason she felt surprised when she saw a six-year-old human could use energy so skillfully.
"You... you... you..."
Six trembling fingers pointed at the ’traitor’ in front of him with an unbelieving gaze. At this point how could Michael not understand that Leo and Dragon God had some shady deal? Moreover, the thing being traded was him—the poor genie.
Three years together, even if we weren’t super close, at least we shouldn’t screw each other over. Why sell him out so fast? Was Dragon God worth more than Slaughter God and a genie combined?
Michael really wanted to curse Leo out but right now he was so angry he couldn’t speak. For the first time in his life, he truly felt betrayed. The feeling was extremely hard to describe, extremely uncomfortable, and also very upsetting.
"Haiz, calm down, you idiot."
Leo rubbed his forehead as if he had a huge headache and then sighed. Michael’s current reaction was actually a bit outside his expectations.
"You still dare to call me an idiot? I wasted my trust in you. I’m done with you."
Michael annoyed turned his back and walked away. Right now he didn’t want to see Leo’s face anymore. At least he couldn’t turn back immediately or else he’d lose face.
"But you’re a genie, ahh~"
A voice that dragged out the last syllable sounded cute but to Michael’s ears, it was worse than random dogs barking. The person who could annoy Michael like that was, of course, none other than Dragon God.
"LEO! How could you tell her my secret?"
Michael was furious now. Selling him out was one thing; who would have thought he’d also reveal his biggest secret to her?
Was Leo considering her close and him an outsider? After being mistreated by her these past few days, did Leo develop feelings?
Unbelievable, Michael really couldn’t understand it. Leo and Dragon God’s actions more and more made him feel like he and this world just didn’t match, not even a little bit.
"Hmph, what’s so big about this secret? You act like you’re the only god. One god from another world, one soul from another world. You guys really are a special combo. I’m more and more feeling like giving up my old body was worth it."
Dragon God snorted but the smile on her face was clear. She just found it interesting, not wary at all knowing Michael was a god from another world. Gods truly don’t know fear; no matter who they face, it’s the same.
Moreover for her, gods anywhere are born following just one single rule. In terms of origin Michael was more like her kind than even dragons.
"You... I... I... Ah, forget it."
Michael was left speechless by Dragon God. He couldn’t argue because counting roughly here including the genie there were four types of gods.
For a moment he had this feeling like maybe gods were being inflationary or something. What’s all that about legendary existences, what’s all that about not appearing for tens of thousands of years... Aren’t there three of them right here in this wild place right now?
"You’re a genie. I made a wish so you have to see it through. Besides here, Dragon God has the most combat experience. Getting trained by her is a good thing for you."
Hearing Leo’s words, Michael rolled his eyes. It sounded good but just one look at her and he saw ’malice’ overflowing.
"Can you guarantee she’ll train me properly and not torture me?"
"Who allowed you to slander me?"
Dragon God said with her mouth while her hand grabbed a rock and threw it at Michael but he dodged by leaning to the side.
"You violent bastard! What can you even train me in?"
"People have to go through tempering to become strong. I’m going to make you experience all kinds of pain and training to turn you into a true Slaughter God."
She turned her back to Michael, hands clasped behind her, looking extremely profound. Each word she spoke was extremely clear and extremely fierce, as if it was all for Michael’s own good.
Of course, the truth was she turned around to try and hold back her laughter. Seeing Michael’s dumbfounded face like an idiot made her want to burst out laughing.
Leo and Michael watched Dragon God’s whole body tremble slightly, both of their mouths twitching. This definitely wasn’t an injury but looked more like she was trying to hold back.
Michael’s face right now was black as a soot-covered pot bottom. He figured he understood what she wanted to do now. Even if she actually taught him properly, the coming days weren’t going to be peaceful.
"You don’t need to be so pessimistic. Just quickly get strong to about seventy percent of her level and you won’t need to be afraid of her anymore."
Leo stood beside him, patting his shoulder encouragingly but in return received a contemptuous glare from Michael.
"You get lost. I’m still not over you selling me out to her."
"Ha ha, my bad, my bad. I’ll tell her to go easy on you a bit."
Hearing that, Michael pouted in disdain. From what he understood about Dragon God, Leo’s words to her were lighter than a feather.
"Are you two talking behind my back?"
Dragon God turned her head back and glared at Michael. Although she said ’you two’, it was clearly aimed only at him while Leo was treated like he was invisible.
