Not knowing what Raymond had in mind, the twins found this offer amusing and really tempting. The thought of them breaking Raymond’s possession while it was in his arms ...their creepy smiles grew and Raymond knew they were hooked.

At the little window above their heads, there was someone there. He caught sight of who it was and decided to trust them.

But before they could take action, he needed to make sure Ariel was in his arms.

He looked over at Skylar who looked like he would blow up from anger. He would’ve explained to him but the twins would only get suspicious and the plan wouldn’t fall through.

"You can’t do this." Skylar said, grabbing his arm and Raymond turned to him.

"Do you have a better option?" He asked him and Skylar went silent, his grip tightening. How were they so powerless at this point?

He looked over at Ariel and his heart broke. This reunion definitely did not go well.

Raymond pushed his hand down and faced the twins.

"Give her here." He said, stretching his arms out.

"I always knew you were a crazy bastard." Theo exclaimed. "Why, does the thought of someone else taking your girl from behind please you? Does it make you a horny dog?" He asked and the twins laughed but Raymond was only concerned about Ariel.

And as they pushed her over to him like she was an object, he made sure to catch her. Her frail and weak body trembled in his arms and his heart felt pained.

His arms on her slightly trembled and he held her tight.

"It’s okay." He muttered to her hearing alone. "You’re going to be alright."

"Sir Raymond." Ariel called out in a little silent and pained mutter.

"Yes, Ariel." Raymond responded.

"Please..." Her voice broke and Raymond could only imagine the words she was about to say to him. "Hold me tight." She said and his eyes widened. "Hold me tight. I... I will feel less scared... If you hold me tight."

Hearing that request, Raymond felt broken. He did this. He couldn’t take care of her. Even if this was a risk they took in order to carry out his revenge plan, this outcome, he caused this.

Pained by this truth, guilt overwhelmed him. To a girl he liked, he couldn’t even protect her.

"Look at you." Leo snickered. "Does it burn?"

"He must certainly want to rip us apart." Theo added. "But what can you do? Even if you do get her, you can’t hurt us because we’re both legitimate heirs of Stein and you are nothing but a bastard." He proudly stated and as true as that fact was, there was someone who could crush them, as well as the Stein’s with a single finger.

Raymond glared at him.

Skylar dashed out of there. He couldn’t stand there and watch so he decided to find a way outside but as soon as he walked out the door, his phone rang. It was Paige calling.

He picked the call and as soon as he heard what she had to say, he turned around and looked at the door in surprise.

Theo and Leo once again took off their pants, ready to take Ariel from behind.

Raymond glared at them but they chose to ignore it. After all, a dog that only knows how to bark won’t be able to bite. Or so they thought.

Raymond had Ariel wrapped in his arms while she trembled when all of a sudden, someone jumped down from the window. This alerted the twins but before they knew it, Raymond had already taken to his heels with Ariel in his arms.

"Hey." They wanted to go after him but the intruder stopped them. It was Paige. Her gown was torn a little after the stunt she had pulled so she ripped the bottom away and threw it at them. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

She glared at the twins who had dared to touch her cousin with such filthy minds.

"Step out of our way." Leo said.

Paige simply walked up to him and gave him a hot slap across his face, stunning them both.

"You..."

"What can you do?" Paige asked, daringly glaring at them.

"Step out of our way."

"I don’t want to." She folded her arms. She looked serious. "I may not be a proud and snobby heir like you two but I am a direct descendant of the Winston’s. You cannot dare to mess with me."

Her words hurt their pride and Theo grabbed her shoulder.

"Look here. I don’t care if you’re from Winston or whatever. This is our matter." He tightened his grip but Paige did not show any sign of discomfort on her face. "Stay out of..."

His words were immediately interrupted when a heavy punch landed on his face.

Skylar glared at them.

"You didn’t stop at my cousin, now you want to touch my sister?" He sent out another punch and this one was directed at Leo.

Like a pro, he challenged them both, pouring out the guilt of being useless and the pain of watching their monstrous act from the side.

Paige watched this and glanced back. She looked at White who was still standing there and her eyes darkened. She watched the CCTV of the house and saw how he ignored Ariel and acted like he did not see what was before his eyes.

She didn’t care if he really didn’t see Ariel at the time or just ignored the sight, he gave her a bad feeling and thus, she did not like him.

"You should know how to behave." She said to him but he kept an indifferent face and walked out the door. She watched him leave and then turned to Skylar.

As much as she wanted to let him beat the crap out of those immature twins, they had to get out of there before the guards showed up and made things complicated.

"Let’s go." She grabbed his arm and he stopped.

"They’re animals."

"And so are the rest of this family." She added. "So it’s best we leave this animal house."

They both walked out the door, only to find Serena standing outside the door with an amused expression. She saw them and smiled, creepily.

"Animals indeed." Paige exclaimed and walked past, flipping her hair behind her.
