I Am An Illegitimate Child With A Legitimate Reason For Revenge-Chapter 36: You look beautiful tonight
Contrary to what Marco was thinking, Ariel actually rushed out so she could find a restroom to throw up.
As soon as she did, she let out all the food she had eaten that day.
"Disgusting! Disgusting! Truly disgusting! Argh!" She let out more watery contents from her stomach. Marco disgusted her to that extent.
This was the same man who whispered so-called love to her for three years, while abusing her both physically and mentally, scorning her, making her do all sorts of dirty jobs, cheating on her... And at the end of it, stabbed and killed her. Or so he thought.
The only thing Marco succeeded in killing that day was the delusions of love she had. She always believed that with love, one could have everything. But no, one needed to have power... To have money, before he could have anything.
Love... what was love? With power and money, you could even buy love.
Marco was an example. His so-called love was bought, wasn’t it? That was how fickle his love was.
He also succeeded in killing her innocence, no doubt. And now, she could go to any length just to get back at him. Even if it meant going back to her own vomit.
"He’s disgusting." She muttered.
Even after marrying her sister, he still had the balls to kiss another man’s lover just because she made a few passes to him. He hasn’t even passed his honeymoon stage yet.
Truly, there was no worse scumbag than he was. His marriage was meant to fail anyway so why not hasten it on behalf of her dear sister?
Ariel cleaned her mouth properly and then, violently washed the hands Marco had held.
"You look like you touched your own shit." Someone said and Ariel raised her head to see a lady coming in with half her face covered with her bangs through the mirror.
She had brown hair and an outfit that looked more expensive than what an average employee would wear but since she had an ID tag around her neck, Ariel concluded she was an employee and decided to ignore her and started rinsing her hand.
"It’s rude not answering a person when they’re being polite." The lady pointed out and Ariel stopped. She picked up the towel from the side and cleaned her hands before turning to the lady.
"I’m glad you think so." She simply said and walked past her. The lady watched Ariel leave and once she was gone, burst out laughing
"Look at her act so arrogant." She laughed. "The rumors must’ve been true. Such a bitch thinks she can ruin the Stein name? She must be crazy." She smiled like a maniac. "And I know just how to tame a crazy bitch."
White took Ariel to the restaurant that evening. The entire place was reserved to avoid causing any unnecessary roar before the destined moment.
"You look beautiful tonight." Marco complimented, taking Ariel’s gloved hand and kissing it.
"Wow, you’re such a charmer." She chuckled.
Ariel wore a red dinner gown and did not fail to wear gloves. She completely loathed the idea of touching him.
Marco did not fail to wear something equally appealing, after checking out the restaurant online. He thought they would be eating in the midst of others but surprisingly, she had booked the entire place.
"I hope you don’t mind that we’re alone. I don’t really like having people around when I’m eating. It kills my appetite." Ariel said as the waiters dropped the food, one at a time.
"Not at all." Marco shook his head. He did not mind about that and also did not mind that she had ordered on their behalf. ’She is extravagant, beautiful and spends in a provocative way... This lady, I must have her.’
Ariel smirked, knowing exactly what Marco had in his mind.
"Eat up, this place serves the most wonderful steak." Ariel said and he nodded, picking up his cutleries. "Are you going home tonight?" She suddenly asked, smiling brightly and he raised his gaze.
"I... I’m supposed to." He said a bit anxiously.
"Oh, come on. You can just tell your wife you have to work over time." She said, "I already booked a hotel and you want me to spend the night alone? I’m sad." She lowered her gaze, trying to look pitiful.
At the mention of a hotel, Marco’s interest immediately stood. This was his chance. But the moment he was about to agree, Ariel’s phone rang.
She checked the caller and covered her mouth. She looked at Marco and signaled him not to make a sound as she answered the call.
"Hubby." She called out affectionately and Marco immediately knew who it was. "What? You’re done with work? I thought you said you wouldn’t be able to make it." She looked over at Marco. "Dinner? Sure. I’m at the restaurant.... Alright, see you." She cut the call.
Marco looked at her, expecting an explanation.
"Oh dear, I didn’t think he’d actually finish his work early today." She said, looking a little dismayed. "What to do, I really wanted to spend the night with you." Her weak smile caught his heart and he smiled back.
He thought she was that sad that they couldn’t be together and his heart ran a marathon.
"Don’t worry about it." He said. "There will be future opportunities." He tried to charm her with his smile.
Ariel smiled back but really wanted to kill him. ’Look at this persistent bastard. Even with that smile, he still looks really disgusting.’
"Then, I’ll be on my way. Till next time." He said and got up.
"Yeah, take care on your way back." She wriggled her fingers at him till he was out of sight. "Ugh, so annoyingly disgusting. He’s actually thinking of going out with the same lady that ruined his wedding."
She folded her arms, crossed her legs and put on a mean face. She’d rather act like the devil than act like a lover girl to Marco.
Ariel raised her hand and snapped her fingers. The waiters approached and she gave a simple command.
"Trash these." They immediately took the food away.
The restaurant was actually under Raymond’s authority but not under his name. It was like a side business he built and invested, handing it out to someone else to manage.
Ariel waited patiently for Raymond while she sipped on red wine. She had completely forgotten about the dream from the previous night and was comfortable but the moment Raymond walked in, looking extremely dashing and irresistible, she found her gaze falling to his lower body and her face flushed.
’Why am I thinking about this again?’
She quickly threw her face aside. Her flushed cheeks could not be easily hidden so she tried to calm herself by fanning her face and thinking of something else. But no matter how she tried to not think about it, she found herself thinking about it.
"It shouldn’t be ’that’ big in real life, right? I mean, that ’thing’ in my dream must’ve been exaggerated." She mumbled.
"What’s exaggerated?" Raymond asked, standing before her and she flinched. Did he hear her?
She turned and her gaze fell directly on his lower body. This time, she did not intentionally look at it but rather, it was right in front of her. Her face flushed.
’Why is this happening?’
