"So that's why... she took her own life."
Zhao Tian stared at the woman in the casket and she looked so peaceful and familiar.
For a fleeting moment, her features overlapped with his own reflection in the glass "…She has my face."
Sylmeria glanced at him and smiled faintly "Now that you say it.. I can see it, if you had a sister, that would be like her."
She lowered her head and muttered "I will leave you alone for a while to gather your thoughts, Honoured One."
Zhao Tian stood still for a long time after Sylmeria's footsteps faded down the corridor.
The faint hum of energy in the chamber was the only sound that remained.
The resemblance between them was uncanny. It was like looking into another version of himself.
Zhao Tian stepped closer to the casket and his gaze softened as he studied the woman's calm expression.
"What did you see," he whispered, "beyond the heavens?"
He didn't expect an answer. Yet his hand moved almost on its own as he reached out and touched the cool surface of the crystal.
The moment his skin met the glass, the crystal beneath his palm pulsed faintly, and a burst of white light spiraled out.
Zhao Tian instinctively stepped back, shielding his eyes 'What happened?'
Threads of light seeped from the woman's body, curling upward like silver mist.
The mist condensed, and a transparent figure of the woman appeared.
The same long white hair drifted weightlessly, and she opened her eyes, revealing her blue eyes just like him.
Zhao Tian blinked in surprise "Her… soul?"
The woman smiled faintly, and her voice was gentle as she spoke "Yes,"
"What thou seest before thee is my lingering soul... what remains of the First Honoured One."
Zhao Tian looked at her in amazement "You're… conscious? After all this time?"
The woman tilted her head slightly, looking at him with quiet curiosity "Time does not touch what has been severed from it."
She walked closer and raised her hand as if to touch his cheek but her fingers just ghosted past his cheek "You look like me... Little brother."
Eh? He frowned slightly as he felt weird being called by her like that "Little brother? Well... we both are Honoured Ones and from the same Maverick lineage, so you are calling me Little Brother because of that?"
Keeping her smile, she shook her head "No... we both have the same mother. You... haven't met our Mother yet?"
Hm? Zhao Tian's gaze condensed as he remembered his real mom, who was inside his mind "Raphaela Celeste Ravenscroft?"
Hearing the name, the woman nodded her head "Yeah... her. She must be residing inside you with other Ecloids."
Huh? Ecloids? At this time, Zhao Tian remembered the other different hair coloured woman inside his sea of consciousness with his mother. "Yeah... I have seen them..."

"They previously resided inside me while I was the Honoured One."
Looking at him, her expression brightened "You are the continuation of what I couldn't complete."

The woman's eyes turned distant and a soft sigh escaped her lips "About that..."
