Hovering before the Hollow Verge, Zhao Tian narrowed his eyes.

The sight before him is terrifying, with a swirling nexus of spatial currents layered like ripples in a pond but twisting in three dimensions as if space itself were peeling open.

The three streams of chaotic energy spiraled into one another, forming a brief "still point" where their conflicting pressures cancelled out, like a fragile eye in a storm of destruction.

This was their exit.

Zhao Tian took a deep breath and his muscles tensed as his bones vibrated from the force of the surrounding spatial friction.

Even breathing in this place felt like pulling air through a broken flute.

Yan Zijin floated beside him, still carrying the unconscious woman.

Her face was pale, her forehead glistening with sweat but despite that, her gaze never wavered.

"Tian," she said softly, "can you really do this?"

He looked at her and smiled "If I can’t, we die anyway. All we can do is try."

She let out a low chuckle, though her eyes remained serious. "That’s not very comforting."

Eleanor’s soul shard floated gently toward them "You must act now, Fateless One. The Verge’s convergence won’t last long."

Zhao Tian gave a faint nod.

He turned to Yan Zijin "Wrap the unconscious woman in your barrier and follow right behind me. The tear I open won’t last more than a few seconds. Once I force it open, we jump. No hesitation."

Yan Zijin bit her lip, then nodded. "Alright."

Zhao Tian raised his hand.

A soft glow erupted from his palm, and spatial energy condensed into lines orbiting around his arm like fragmented mirrors reflecting fractured reality.

He extended both hands and his fingers trembled as he reached into the stream.

It felt like his arms were being pulled in opposite directions.

His veins bulged and his skin flushed red from the strain.

Sweat rolled down his temples as he shaped the unstable energy into a tight point.

The air around them cracked, and a slow hum began to echo in teh air then building to a scream.

He clenched the space with his fingers and tore them open as the space around him broke like glass shards.

Eleanor’s soul shard dimmed slightly, "Now!"

Zhao Tian gritted his teeth and thrust his hand forward.

A rift tore open.

The space before them shredded and light burst from the wound and for a moment, the hollow stilled.

"GO!" Zhao Tian yelled.

Yan Zijin dashed forward without hesitation, clutching the woman tight to her chest, leaping into the rift.

Eleanor’s soul quickly fluttered and dashed into the crack, slipping out of it.

Zhao Tian followed, and his body screamed as the spatial tunnel closed behind them.

And then, everything collapsed into light.

*THRASSH*

Breaking the space, Zhao Tian, Yan Zijin and Eleanor were thrown out into the open void.

They were flung out like comets, tumbling through the weightless dark.

Looking at the black space, Zhao Tian’s gaze narrowed, and he extended his hand.

A sleek, modern ark materialized in front of him.

Without hesitation, he turned and dashed toward Yan Zijin, who was still struggling to regain control of her descent with the unconscious woman in her arms.

He caught her wrist firmly, guiding her toward the ark

He floated back to the ark and opened the main door.

He glimpsed at Eleanor’s soul shard and she hurriedly slid in.

As they all entered, Zhao Tian quickly closed the door, and the three of them collectively fell on the floor.

"Haa... Haa..."

Zhao Tian took deep breaths, looking at the ceiling of the ark.

Yan Zijin rolled to her side, cradling the unconscious woman as gently as possible, before finally setting her down on the floor.

"Ha... Hahaha.. Hahaha..."

Yan Zijin laughed and got on top of Zhao Tian, sitting on his abdomen "Disciple, we are out... made it out."

She had a big grin on her face as she shouted with excitement "WE ESCAPED!"

Zhao Tian looked at her breasts jiggling and smiled "Yeah, nice view too."

Yan Zijin blinked, then followed his gaze and rolled her eyes. "Really?" She laughed but didn’t move.

She leaned down and hugged him tightly "We survived, thanks a lot, Tian."

Feeling her breasts squishing against his chest, Zhao Tian hugged her back "Mhmm..."

"You don’t need to thank me," he said softly. "You were there for me too."

The soul shard of Eleanor floated quietly a few feet away. Though she didn’t speak, the faint gleam of her light dimmed gently, as if respecting the moment between the two.

Minutes passed, but neither Zhao Tian nor Yan Zijin moved.

Pulling back up, Yan Zijin gently stood up from him "Well.. I need to take a fresh bath first and then need to change some clothes."

With a nod, Zhao Tian pointed at the small corridor leading to the rooms "There is a room there; you can wash yourself there."

Hearing this, Yan Zijin nodded and took the unconscious woman before walking to the room.

Rolling on the floor, Zhao Tian turned his gaze to Eleanor’s soul shard which was floating beside him "So, sticking to that Eleanor’s deal... I would need you to give you a home to rest."

Hm? Eleanor was quite confused and Zhao Tian just smiled "You will know when you meet her."

As he spoke, he raised his hand and shifted Eleanor’s soul shard back into his artifact.

*swoosh* Appearing back in the artifact, Eleanor’s soul shard looked around at the grassy greenery.

’Where... am I?’

Eleanor’s other soul shard, which was within her room, immediately sensed the new shard and hurriedly dashed out.

*swoosh* She quickly floated through the living hall.

Velnorah and Xia Shenyi, who were sitting there, were dumbfounded to see Eleanor’s shard rushing outside.

They quickly stood up and followed the soul shard outside.

Stepping outside the mansion, they saw another soul shard flying toward the old soul shard.

"What?"

Velnorah was taken aback to see this.

"There is another one?"

Xia Shenyi’s gaze trembled "This bastard, did he enter another rupture?"

The soul shards looked at each other for a moment before fusing together into a singularity.

"I see, the Fateless One has entered another rupture... and the information about forging a body..."
