Hunter Of The Six Realms-Chapter 51: Left alone
Chapter 50
Stark observed Kaizen for a moment, then turned to the others, "I trust that he’ll be fine. I’ll inform the rescue team to come in one hour after we leave." Then he turned to Kaizen, "Try not to die kid."
Stark had noticed that Kaizen wasn’t someone ordinary, he could sense that there was something more to him, and he was definitely hiding something. But he knew for sure that Kaizen could be trusted, so he decided not to push it.
So I have just one hour to gather as many points as possible. That should do.
The others began packing up quickly, none of them wanting to spend a second longer than necessary in this cursed realm. A few glanced Kaizen’s way, uncertain whether to respect his decision or question his sanity. But after what they’d just witnessed, no one really had the nerve to argue, after all... if it wasn’t for him, they’d all be dead by now.
"Good luck, man. And thanks again," one of the hunters said, giving Kaizen a brief nod before turning to follow the group.
"You’re either brave or crazy," another muttered under his breath, shaking his head as he moved along with the rest.
Kaizen didn’t say anything. He just stood there watching them as they walked away, one after the other, disappearing into the trees the same way they’d come in.
The air was still thick, but it felt different now. The presence that had been pressing down on them since they arrived was lighter. But that didn’t mean it was over.
Kaizen exhaled quietly and rolled his shoulders.
He didn’t stay behind to prove anything. He wasn’t trying to play hero either. Truth was, he saw this as an opening, a chance to test himself without anyone watching or getting in the way.
He’d unlocked other elements for a reason, and he’d barely used any of them so far. He didn’t want to wait until he was backed into a corner before figuring out how to control them properly. Now was the perfect time to practice. Real fights. Real pressure. That’s the only way to know what worked and what didn’t.
He stared into the woods ahead, already sensing movement. Low growls, faint footsteps. Beasts were still out there, probably a bunch of C or D-ranks.
He summoned his system window to check how many points he’d gotten for the few beasts he was able to kill.
70 points, thats less than I expected. That B-rank Beast didn’t get me much points like I thought it would. Does this mean i get less points for killing real Beasts and more from killing the ones made by the system? Interesting.
Kaizen quickly allocated the points.
"Ten points for intelligence, twenty for speed, twenty for strength, ten for vitality, five each for agility and stamina."
Once he was done allocating the points, his stats popped up.

Shit, I was supposed to save a few points to check out what I could buy from the shop. I haven’t seen that yet.
"Open shop."
The items all lined up, and Kaizen’s eyes scanned through. Every item in the shop has their prices written including their uses and effects.
Red lilly poisonous dagger 3000 points? Why the hell is it so expensive. That poison came from the beast i just killed, which means with the dagger, the damage for every strike i make would be immediate. With that dagger, all I need is one strike to kill a beast. I’m saving up to buy that, it’ll be much more easier to gather points with that weapon.
His eyes scanned the other items,
Blue dragon gemstone 10,000 points. Has healing powers, also know as the miracle gem, can revive the dead but after that, the stone disintegrates. Once usage. The points are worth it, revive the dead? That’s fucking insane.
After going through just to know what items were available, kaizen closed the window turned around, rolling his shoulders. He could sense Beasts around but non of them were approaching. Maybe because they couldn’t sense him being that he had Suppressed his mana.
Maybe if I let go, they’ll come.
And that was what he did, after a long time...he released his energy, completely without restraint. The sudden burst made the ground crack beneath his feet and all around him, forming a crater, and the trees around bent from the force.
Is that how much energy I’ve been holding back? So this is the power they were talking about.
He knew it was a lot, but if just releasing the suppressed mana could cause this much damage even though he wasn’t at a high level yet, what would happen when he finally got to the peak of his power.
Almost immediately, Kaizen heard the aggressive growls of beasts approaching. Beasts were naturally attracted to intense energy, the higher the energy, the more they try to attack. Because they feed on mana, if they succeed in defeating their prey, they feed on their mana and not their body, although there are some monstrous ones that overdo and eat the body also.
I hope this wasn’t a bad idea, can I fight that many at a time?
The growls were getting louder, closer. Whatever was out there wasn’t just one or two beasts. There were many.
Kaizen stayed still as he tried to sense their ranks. They were all D-rank beasts. And then he saw the first one.
It crept out from between the trees, low to the ground, its glowing eyes locked onto him. Bone plates ran down its back like armor, and its claws scraped against the earth as it crawled forward. The others started coming out too. One... two... then more. Some walking on all fours, some taller, humanoid-shaped with twisted jaws and long arms that almost touched the floor.
Eight of them.
Kaizen didn’t see them as beasts right now, all he saw was points, points that would help him grow stronger.
