Humanity's Great Sage-Chapter 765: A Farce
In Yun Xuechu’s bedroom on the Summit of Clarity, Lu Ye circled around the maidservant and tutted in amazement. No matter how he looked at it, the maidservant looked just like a Human. There were no signs that showed she was a Golem. But soon, Lu Ye realised something was off, for no fluctuations of Spiritual Power or Divine Ego wafted from Yun Xuechu. In other words, she wasn’t the one who controlled the maidservant.
This made Lu Ye puzzled. He was sure that the maidservant was a Golem, but without anyone controlling her, how was she supposed to move around and speak?
“What’s going on, Honoured Master?” Lu Ye turned to look at the woman.
Yun Xuechu smiled and waved her hand, after which the maidservant left the place. “It’s Soul Fission Technique,” she explained. “Strictly speaking, Tiea could be considered my Soul Clone.”
“Soul Clone!” Lu Ye was shocked. He was only a Cloud River Realm Master, so he was still far from the Divine Ocean Realm. Although he knew nothing about Soul Fission or Soul Clone, he could see how abstruse it was and knew it was an incredible Secret Technique.
“I’ve never told you these before because I’m worried you’ll be overwhelmed with too much knowledge,” Yun Xuechu said. “I’m sure you’ve come to realise that other than the main factions in Jiu Zhou, there are also many side factions, like the Ways of Pills, Artification, and Golem Making. All of them are closely related to the Way of Glyphs, and it’s compulsory for Spell Cultivators to use Glyphs. In fact, they’re all the branches of the Way of Glyphs.”
Lu Ye nodded. As a Glyphweaver, he was naturally aware of what she had mentioned.
“To all the side factions, the Way of Glyphs is the foundation. One’s mastery of the Way of Glyphs would help him learn the other side factions with ease.”
This was the reason Lu Ye was able to improve his Way of Wards rapidly. Certainly, it was thanks to his rewards from the two trips to Hundred Wards Tower, but it also had something to do with his solid foundation. All these were the benefits brought to him by the Way of Glyphs.
Since Lu Ye had also cultivated the Way of Wards, Yun Xuechu never talked about the other side factions with him. In fact, if Lu Ye hadn’t taken the initiative to ask her about the Way of Golem Making, she wouldn’t have talked about it.
The Way of Golem Making was mysterious to many people, and it would take lots of energy and money for one to master it. To a cultivator like Lu Ye who was weak and whose main task was to increase his power, he shouldn’t spend time learning it, especially when he had already cultivated the Way of Wards.
“How did you find out?” Yun Xuechu asked. When she first settled down on the Summit of Clarity back then, Shui Yuan had visited her on several occasions, but the woman had never realised something was off about the maidservant. Shui Yuan was already a Real Lake Realm Master at that time. Yun Xuechu didn’t think Shui Yuan’s eyesight in the past would be weaker than the current Lu Ye’s.
“Please have a look at this, Honoured Master.” Lu Ye fished out his damaged Dragon Throne from his Storage Sphere.
“This is…” Yun Xuechu’s expression became solemn at once as she took it and gently touched it. As a glint flashed across her gaze, she examined it carefully.
A moment later, she lifted her head and looked at Lu Ye in shock. “Where did you get this thing?”
Although the Armour Golem was badly damaged, she could tell that it was immensely powerful when it was in mint condition. No one in the entire Jiu Zhou, including herself, could make such an item.
Lu Ye briefly told her about his experience in Soaring Dragon Boundary and the Dragon Throne’s background. The reason he even asked her about the Way of Golem Making was that he needed her help to repair the Armour Golem.
Initially, he intended to make himself stronger before looking for a particular Divine Ocean Realm Master at the Thousand Gear Pavilion.
Although they didn’t know each other, Lu Ye was certain that a Golem Master like him would be tempted at the sight of such a divine item. It would be beneficial to the person who could repair the Armour Golem as well.
The seven days of the initial stage had ended, and the strongest 3,000 Cloud River Realm Masters had been selected. They would take part in the next round of battles.
The new piece of information showed that Lu Ye had the right to partake in the next round, and he believed that Li Baxian and the others had that right as well.
He also wasn’t worried about Hua Ci. Although she was a Medical Cultivator, she could poison her opponent without the other party knowing it. Furthermore, she was fairly powerful now. Even if she came across a Ninth-Order Master, unless the other party could defeat her quickly, she could easily destroy her opponent once she found a chance.
Since 3,000 people had been selected, the next round would begin soon.
After giving it some thought, Lu Ye fished out a face mask and put it on. There were many occasions when some people recognised him and admitted defeat out of fear.
All of the 3,000 people that had been selected must be fairly powerful, unlike how varied the powers of the people were in the first round.
There was no doubt these people would do their best in the battles to get decent results, and they were the most brilliant cultivators among the Cloud River Realm Masters.
Lu Ye wanted to have a proper fight with them. Concealing his face would lift the psychological pressure off some people.
