Hubby's Deep Love Will Never Change-Chapter 1159 Heather of the Other Shore Flower Sea (183)
Qianxun thinks so too?
Heather’s eyebrows furrowed as she thought to herself, in that case, it’s not just her own illusion. It’s real—Nian Shen does have a bit of Ah Nian’s vibe about him.
But before she could answer, she suddenly jabbed her elbow backward, hitting the person behind her, whose face instantly showed a pained, restrained expression.
Watching Mo Jun Tian clutch his abdomen in agony, Qianxun nearly burst out laughing.
She hadn’t even noticed Mo Jun Tian sneaking closer to eavesdrop while she was talking seriously with Heather. How did Heather, with her back turned to him, catch him though?
"I just wanted to hear what women usually talk about," he muttered.
"If you come any closer, I won’t stop at just elbowing your stomach."
Mo Jun Tian was shocked. "Then what else do you plan to use, and where will you stab me?"
Almost as soon as he said it, he instinctively shielded his most vulnerable part.
"Give it a rest!" Qianxun giggled at him. "Sister Wei Wei has no interest in you!"
...
When Nian Shen returned from the restroom, he spotted a suspicious figure lurking at the corner.
Jiang Yang was standing there, saying something to the waiter across from him. He took something from the waiter’s hand and dropped it into the glass in front of him. Afterwards, Jiang Yang dismissed the waiter, picked up the tray with the wine on it, and turned to walk back.
Nian Shen’s eyes narrowed, and he casually started walking in Jiang Yang’s direction.
Jiang Yang had only taken a few steps when suddenly, a dark shadow approached him, giving his shoulder a firm pat.
Curious, he turned his head, only to be met with a solid punch to his face. His vision blurred as the impact left him dizzy. His hand slipped, and the tray and wine fell to the carpeted floor. Yet, the wine glass miraculously landed in someone’s hand without spilling a single drop.
Jiang Yang hadn’t seen who it was clearly. By the time he opened his eyes, there was no one in front of him!
He was still reeling in confusion when someone suddenly attacked him from behind, prying his mouth open and forcibly pouring the suspicious wine down his throat.
The wine spilled all over Jiang Yang, but the assailant deftly avoided even a drop touching themselves.
After ensuring the wine was consumed, the attacker tossed the glass aside, promptly knocked Jiang Yang unconscious, and handed him over to another shadowy figure.
Adjusting his tie, he walked back toward the private room as elegantly as a gentleman.
...
As the drinks flowed on, someone finally remarked on Jiang Yang’s extended absence, asking curiously, "Why hasn’t Jiang Yang returned yet?"
"Maybe he passed out drunk in the restroom?"
It was just a joke—everyone knew he had left the table still perfectly sober. There was no way he could’ve gotten so drunk that he couldn’t return.
"Could he have run into someone he knows on the way and gotten caught up chatting?"
Someone even tried calling him, only to hear his phone ringing in the private room—he hadn’t taken it with him.
"Mr. Nian, Jiang Yang went to the restroom after you. Did you see him by any chance?"
"Oh?" Nian Shen replied with his usual unreadable expression. "I didn’t see him on the way back. Could he have gone somewhere else?"
"Who knows..."
The group didn’t probe further and quickly dropped the subject.
After all, Jiang Yang was known for his temper. Perhaps he really had bumped into someone, gone to another private room, and had a few more drinks. Pressuring him to come back might just irritate him.
It wasn’t long, however, before a piercing scream from a woman jolted everyone’s attention.
Heather’s expression shifted.
In the past, she might’ve needed to feign concern, but now, such pretense was unnecessary.
She was the first to rise from her seat, swiftly opening the door and heading out.
