How to Tame a Villain Character-Chapter 139: Mysterious Traitor
Chapter 139: Chapter 139: Mysterious Traitor
Claudia was still waiting for her husband to wake up after waiting for almost an hour without anyone accompanying him. Her right hand continued to stroke her husband’s cheek, she read a short message from Sarah regarding the report that Fiona and the orphanage children who had been taken to the hospital had been rescued. Hearing this good news made her come back again, but on the one hand, her heart ached to see her husband injured this time just to save the life of a small child.
Finally Harry opened his eyes slowly. The first thing he saw when he woke up was his wife crying desperately while hugging him. He felt even more guilty because he made his wife afraid, even though he had previously promised her that she would return safely.
"Claudia."
Claudia looked at her husband with sad eyes while wiping her tears with a handkerchief. "You finally woke up. I’ll call Dahlia now."
Harry immediately held his beloved wife’s hand with a look of pity. "No need to call her."
"You’re still stubborn when you’re so badly injured!" freēwēbnovel.com
"But, I’m really fine now. "I just inhaled too much smoke so I passed out."
"Still you are seriously injured! When Dahlia treated the wound on your back which was quite serious, I felt short of breath looking at it. You must have been hit by a heavy object while saving the child!"
"It only hit for a moment."
"Why do you always act nice in front of me? Even if you’re hurt, you don’t need to pretend to be tough. If you’re in pain, you can tell me openly."
Harry hugged his wife’s tiny body lovingly while landing his lips on her forehead. "Forgive me. Next time I won’t act like this again."
Her chest still ached at the thought of her waiting for her husband to come to save the orphanage children who were trapped in the building. She cried again until her voice was hoarse.
"You’ve had a heart for me since the beginning. You don’t care about me and only care about yourself."
"But, it was impossible for me to leave the child alone in a crowded room and the fire almost burned down the entire room. If I hadn’t saved him in time, I wouldn’t have been able to live in peace." Harry kissed his wife’s ear. "Please, Claudia. Don’t forbid me from saving other people’s lives."
Claudia kissed her husband’s cheek which had a small bandage on it. "I will never forbid you from saving other people’s lives. But I want you to make sure your life is also safe. Because your life is my life."
Suddenly, Sarah, Thomas, Kyle, and Clarissa rushed into the executive patient room with worried looks that made Harry furious. In fact, he liked that everyone closest to him was worried about him, but they came to him at the wrong time.
Thomas and Kyle scrambled to walk quickly to the duke who was now a patient.
"Harry, you still know me, right?" Kyle asked, pointing to himself.
"Who are you?" said Harry in a cold tone.
Kyle widened his eyes, frantically sitting on the edge of the bed. "You really don’t know me? Did your head actually get crushed by a pole or cupboard?"
Harry flicked Kyle’s forehead with an annoyed look. "You stupid! How could I have amnesia just because a bookshelf fell on me! Besides, I don’t get amnesia easily because I don’t want to forget Claudia."
Claudia smiled brightly listening to the pearl words spoken by her husband. As usual, her husband is still good at stringing together beautiful words even though he has just faced a storm.
"Harry, it seems you are becoming increasingly crazy about your wife. You used to be professional and a perfectionist, now you really care about your wife."
"There’s no way I wouldn’t care." His gaze twinkled at the sweet smile displayed by his beloved wife. "She’s been crying because of me. Meanwhile, you guys came to me at the wrong time."
Clarissa patted her boyfriend’s shoulder. "We’ll go to him another time. If Harry was angry it would sound scary."
"There’s no need to run away from me, Clarissa! Precisely because you guys have come to me now. You must be responsible for carrying out my duties."
Everyone sat on the sofa nervously, especially as the AC temperature was set to the lowest temperature. Even Claudia, as Harry’s wife, felt nervous even though her husband let her sit on his lap and hug each other.
"What should we do now, Harry?" Thomas asked.
"The incident involving the sudden explosion of the orphanage was actually someone who did it on purpose. I saw the perpetrator at a glance earlier."
Claudia rolled her eyes. "Did you really see his face?"
"No. But the perpetrator was wearing a strange mask and dressed all in black. When I wanted to chase him, the perpetrator had already jumped from the third floor window."
Thomas propped his chin up. "But, it is very unfortunate because the orphanage caught fire, all the CCTV cameras were broken. We’re having a hard time tracking him down."
Clarissa hugged her boyfriend’s body tremblingly. "What makes me feel strange is why the perpetrator suddenly destroyed an orphanage that was located quite remote? What is the actual purpose? Does the perpetrator have a grudge against the owner of the orphanage?"
"No. Fiona once told me that she doesn’t have any enemies and even so far her life has always gone smoothly because her only activities are playing and educating the orphanage children," argued Claudia.
In fact, this made Harry even more suspicious because the strange incidents that had occurred recently seemed very coincidental. Initially his wife was suddenly kidnapped by rebel soldiers in a hostage-taking incident, then the rebel soldiers took control of his biological father’s territory. Then, now the orphanage is attacked for no reason, especially since the orphanage has been connected to him since he was a child. Could it be that all the incidents experienced by those closest to him were just meant to warn him? However, Harry still didn’t dare tell his wife about all the conspiracy theories in his mind because he didn’t have accurate evidence.
Clarissa got up from the sofa while holding Kyle’s hand. "Okay, for the safety of the orphanage children and the orphanage owner, Kyle and I will find out the mystery of this incident."
"Moreover, I can’t bear to see the sudden destruction of the orphanage. The orphanage that was built with great effort and existed for many years, has now been destroyed. I can’t bear to see the orphanage’s children have no place to live now."
