Chapter 180 - 84 A.C V

(Third Person POV)

"Aegon, hm?" Alysanne said as she stood in front of Alyssa who sat on a couch, "Named after the conqueror?"

"And our uncle." Alyssa said with a smile

It was the next day, Alysanne had come to check in on her daughter after she had rested for the night. After meeting his new son, Baelon had to calm his other sons down and took them to rest.

Now, Alyssa wanted to walk around to get some movement in her body. After doing so, she was visited by the Queen who wanted to see her grandson.

"He looks like his father." Alysanne said with a warm smile, "Prince Aegon Targaryen. Baelon must be so happy."

"He is." Alyssa said, "But the boys are too much for him right now. Especially Daemon who is quite rowdy."

"That Daemon will grow to be a troublemaker." Alysanne chuckled, "I just know it."

Alyssa nodded, "Oh yes." She said, "I know that."

Alysanne then cleared her throat, "Alyssa." She said softly, "Drakken is here."

Alyssa's face hardened, "W-What?"

"Has he approached you?" Alysanne said, "Aemon told me he saw your siblings in the courtyard. And well, those sounds from yesterday.....that was him and Saera."

Alyssa shook her head, "Why would he approach me?" She asked, "No. I was busy with this."

Alysanne nodded, "That's good." She said, "We don't know what he's scheming."

"Mother." Alyssa said as she looked at her son, "Have you ever thought of giving in?"

"What?" Alysanne frowned

"To Drakken." Alyssa looked at her

"What do you mean give in to him? That man is a monster!" Alysanne exclaimed

Alyssa sighed, "It's quite clear he is more than that." She said, "Mother, I've known him for 12 years. Or at the very least, I have known of him for 12 years."

"And...?" Alysanne asked

"He hasn't aged a bit in 12 years." She replied freёnovelkiss.com

"Sorcery. That's all it is. Foul and blasphemous sorcery." Alysanne told her

"Mother, the first time I met him, Baelon stabbed him in the back and he did not flinch." Alyssa said with a frown, "Even if Sorcerers were as powerful as him, they would all die from that. He has been burned by dragonfire, he has even survived a battle with great warriors without using his magic."

"What are you getting at?" The Queen asked her

"Maybe he truly is a god. For 12 years, we have denied it...." Alyssa said, "But in those 12 years, he has created creatures beyond our comprehension. One of said creatures killed Vhagar with ease. Another one destroyed Driftmark, Mother....what does that tell us? People haven't forgotten that."

"You want to what, bow down to him?" Alysanne asked, "What makes you say that?"

"I am tired, Mother." Alyssa said, "How long until Drakken also grows tired and decides to kill Baelon? Aemon? Father? You? He has all the chances in the world yet he chooses to spare us. Just so he can torment us. When will he decide that its time to eliminate the pests that is House Targaryen? Just think about it...."

Alysanne sighed, "I have thought about it." She said, "For years....for years, I have done nothing but think about it. It won't work. It just won't. We cannot coexist with a being like that, no matter what. Chaos is all that would come out of it."

Alyssa looked at her son, "Maegelle is happy." She said, "Happy being part of House Drakkengard. And Saera? I believe that out of any House she would be married off to, House Drakkengard is the only one that can control her. I want to give Baelon many children. But the way things are....I doubt that it would be easy."

Alysanne stood up, "I don't want you to think of such things." She said, "We need to think about the Realm."

"I am." Alyssa told her, "It is the best thing for everyone. The Trinity's followers thrive. The poor no longer starve, the unfortunate don't fear death.....is it really all that bad?"

Alysanne sighed, "There is a natural order, Alyssa." She said,

"He is not part of it."

****************

Aemon stood next to Daella, "How did you sleep?" He asked her, "With all the....noises....."

They were in the hallway of the Red Keep, looking out a window. The Princess was admiring the sky when her husband approached her.

Daella nodded, "I slept fine." She said with a warm smile, "Thank you for asking."

Aemon sighed, "Our sister...." He said softly, "Cannot say I am not impressed she held out this long.....but still, how pent up was she?"

Daella chuckled, "As long as she is happy." She said as she looked at him, "Say....Aemon...."

Aemon looked at her, "What is it?"

"Have you met with him? Drakken?" She asked

"Yes." Aemon said, "He met all of us in the courtyard. It appears he will stay for the Feast later tonight. Nothing good will come out of this...."

Daella nodded, "I see...."

"Will you attend it? Do you wish for me to accompany you?" Aemon asked

"Yes, I must support my sister. Although she is too young, don't you think?" Daella smiled, "I have a dress picked out already."

"I agree with you." Aemon said as he shifted in his feet, "But she will marry within a gew years, so it is not too bad."

Daella nodded, "That is good..." she said, "The girls?"

"Oh, I think they're all playing in Rhaenys's chambers." Aemon said, "They're fine."

Daella smiled, "I am glad. Thank you for accepting Aemma as your own." She said

Aemon returned the smile, "Don't worry about it." He told her, "She is my blood. I will care for her like she is mine."

Daella looked down, "It has been...." She said, "Difficult for me....they say Drakken killed Lord Rodrik....I have not seen him in years, to ask him for the truth."

"Well, the truth is I didn't kill him." A voice said

They turned around to see Drakken leaning against the wall, a slight smirk on his face.

"Drakken...." Aemon said with a scowl

"Daella Targaryen, The Little Flower." Drakken said, "How long has it been?"

Daella looked at him with a frown, "Drakken...." She said softly, "You are here after all...."

"You know...." Drakken said as he straightened up and took a step forward, "When I heard the two of you were married off.....I was a bit taken aback. I thought to myself: 'wow, Aemon sure is lucky'. But then I remembered the poor bastard was still in mourning that my next thoughts were: 'Wow, the Old Man is a fucking prick.' You see, I wanted Daella....but he ruined it for me."

"She's my wife." Aemon warned, "Keep your hands off her."

"Oh worry not." Drakken shrugged, "I don't care about that. I came to see how much this one has grown....well, in height, not much....but there is a sense of maturity in her eyes. Tell me, Daella....would you rather have a niece through Maegelle....or Saera?"

"W-Why would you ask me that?" Daella asked

"No reason." Drakken said, "I am here to attend the Feast. Nothing else....but....If given some time..."

"I might have some fun."
