The heart of the Red Zone pulsed with an unnatural energy, its towering buildings silhouetted against a sickly green sky. The streets below were a graveyard of abandoned cars, debris, and bloodied corpses. Yet, the dead didn't rest. They prowled, shuffling through the ruins of civilization.

Captain Marcus "Iron Will" Kane and the ZETU team moved cautiously through the chaos, their breath visible in the cold, damp air. The glow of the city's distant fires illuminated their faces as they pressed deeper into zombie-infested territory.

"This place stinks of death," Sergeant Jenna "Blaze" Hart muttered, her flamethrower slung across her back. "I've seen hell, but this... this feels worse."

Detective Lila "Huntress" Navarro crouched beside an overturned car, inspecting a fresh trail of footprints leading into the shadows. "Captain," she said over her comms, "we've got movement ahead. Human tracks—could be survivors, but they're heading straight into the heart of the horde."

Kane nodded, his grip tightening on his shotgun. "Alright, team. We're here to save lives. Let's move fast but stay alert. Riley, keep your eyes on us."

From her elevated position on a nearby rooftop, Officer Riley "Quick Shot" Bennett peered through her sniper scope. She scanned the area, spotting a cluster of zombies gathered around the mouth of an alley. Their glowing eyes flickered as they shuffled toward something—or someone.

"We've got hostiles ahead," Riley reported. "Looks like they've cornered someone. Permission to engage?"

"Take the shot," Kane ordered.

A deafening crack echoed through the streets as Riley's bullet tore through the skull of the nearest zombie. The horde turned in unison, their guttural growls filling the air.

"Contact!" Kane barked. "Blaze, clear a path! Shield, you're on defense!"

Jenna ignited her flamethrower, sending a wave of fire roaring down the alley. The zombies recoiled, their rotting flesh igniting as they stumbled and fell. Meanwhile, Officer Derek "Shield" Coleman advanced with his reinforced riot shield, holding back stragglers attempting to flank the team.

"Captain, over here!" Lila called out, leading the group to a terrified man huddled behind a dumpster. His clothes were torn, his face pale with fear. "He's alive, but barely."

"Can you walk?" Kane asked the man, who nodded shakily.

Before they could retreat, an ear-splitting screech pierced the night. From the shadows emerged a towering zombie, its body mutated and grotesque. Its arms stretched unnaturally long, claws glinting in the dim light.

"What in God's name is that?" Derek muttered, raising his shield.

"Doesn't matter," Kane said. "Take it down!"

Riley fired another shot, but the creature moved with unnatural speed, dodging the bullet and lunging toward the team. Jenna unleashed a torrent of fire, forcing it back, but it seemed almost immune to the flames.

"Fall back!" Kane shouted. "We're outgunned here!"

As the team retreated with the survivor in tow, the creature let out another unearthly roar, its glowing eyes fixed on them. This was no ordinary zombie—it was a nightmare given flesh. And it wasn't done hunting.
