Hollywood Zenith-Chapter 975: Their Feelings-5

Few hours ago, when Samuel told Anastasiya about checking up on her people she knew it might be one of his tricks. She knew them well, there was no way they were going to interfere with one of the cardinal rules, not to disturb the client that wants to stay anonymous.

To send people to look for her? It was highly improbable. She just talked with them and the most they were excited about the payment when the deadline expires. Having a rich client throwing money at them just to keep up some surveillance around a property in the forest was too easy of a job for them. They were more inclined on making people disappear or collecting ’debts’ of various degree.

Anastasiya also knew that by now, her organization would be aware of what was going on with her. She had kept the part of her about meeting Samuel a secret, she also knows that Ivan wasn’t the type to air out her dirty laundry to her ’supervisors’ especially when she was already semi-exiled from the group.

Even then, she knew they were aware about the value of this information. They would keep it a secret especially because they wouldn’t want to get on the bad side of neither Rothschild nor Rockefellers. She went along with Samuel’s obvious lie because she trusted her ’girls’.

Now that they were here in person, he wouldn’t be able to escape from her plans. He might try to discourage them but she had already warned them repeatedly not to believe his words!

Still thinking about each scenarios, her heart was still not in the right place when she saw him lead them outside on a supposed ’tour’. Her worries were confirmed when she saw they still hadn’t returned from their trip.

When she asked the staff, they told her were each person was. It seemed like Samuel was with Miranda by the small creek but the rest of the girls were in different place. She was curious, was he taking his time and going through them one by one? It could be a possibility but there was something amiss.

He wouldn’t keep a secret from Nicole and for the moment, she wasn’t with him. Anyone could tell their relationship was special, he wouldn’t go behind her back and do something with anyone when she herself was busy with work. Maybe their relationship was that ambiguous? Anastasiya didn’t have relevant information to make that assessment. In the end, she decided to go and see for herself.

She first went to see Disha, in her eyes she didn’t expect much from her because she could tell the young girl wasn’t adventurous enough for this ’task’. A foreign girl from a strict family wasn’t someone who would change overnight even for someone like Samuel.

As expected when she peeked inside the room, she saw her chatting away with few people with a wide smile on her face. They seemed to be looking at a computer screen discussing something. There were others doing the same thing but they seemed to be busy in their work.

Anastasiya felt like she stepped into one of those corporate offices, everyone worked like machines for minimum pay slaving away for their ’boss’.

Samuel did mention to her that these people would become his ’treasure’ in the future but she couldn’t understand his ’vision’, for her these people looked like computer nerds that she often see in cafes littered around the city.

From this visit she concluded that Disha was out. They could only stay for few days before they start their usual routine of touring different cities and going on shoots and interviews. It seemed like Samuel had successfully lured away the first candidate. She wasn’t discouraged, in turn she was happy at least now she could say she made a concession to win more ground with others!

Next, she went to look for Kate. It wasn’t hard to find her, apparently she had gathered a small crowd of people showing off her horse riding skills. Her lush blonde hair was tied in a long ponytail while she wore some protective gear in case she fell from the horse.

She was riding in the meadows, making the horse trot sometime expressively while other time slowly depending on what the crowd demanded. Few of the rancher joined in on the fun and they were not much worse than the little equestrian champion!

Witnessing it, Anastasiya was shocked. Wasn’t Kate worried about hurting herself? If she fell down, it would be disastrous. Anastasiya didn’t know about Kate’s upbringing, she was more worried about the shitstorm that would happen if Kate got hurt in Samuel’s estate!

She rushed forward and started shouting at Kate to come down. What happened nearly made her faint, her abrupt actions spooked the horse it charged toward her narrowly missing her only because Kate was able to make it steer away utilizing her skills not to mention Samuel had used his animal affinity to warned these horses if they ever hurt anyone again he would make them pay.

He didn’t know if they understood him but there were no further incidents after that.

People rushed to Anastasiya’s aid, thankfully she wasn’t hurt but only feel on her butt when the horse got too close. She couldn’t care less about it, she started arguing with Kate telling her to focus on their plan but what she got in turn was truths and facts and how her plan was stupid from the beginning.

Kate was quite happy with playing around and enjoying the luxuries that came with it, Samuel made sure to post few of his people to tend to her like a royal guest.

Anastasiya could only grumble and go away when she learned Kate was a master at handling horses especially these that were extra docile. She didn’t know how he did but the score was now two to zero. She only hoped that at least next two would be a success.

Fortunately, Robyn agreed with her. The studio was good but she was a singer not a audio technician. After marvelling at it for few minutes, she soon lost interest. It didn’t help that she was alone in the room. When Anastasiya came to visit her she went along with it. Robyn had came to like the strange young man who seemed to ignore her charms.

They spend some time coming with a viable solution but nothing came to mind. They had to wait for Miranda to provide support, Anastasiya knew at least her friend wouldn’t turn her down right? On her way there, she met Nicole who was lost in thought walking mindlessly toward the mansion. What better way to get her mind off things than to tease her favorite maid?
