Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen-Chapter 769: Rational but heartless
She was so angry she turned her head away, biting her red lip without saying a word.
Robert Stephens leisurely propped himself up, lowered his head, and looked at the small girl held in his arms.
Her eyes were red, her delicate face slightly furrowed, as if she was suffering from immense grievance.
Raising an eyebrow slightly, Robert gave a faint smile, teasing open the hem of her furry pajamas with his slender fingertips, brushing against the fine curve of her slender waist.
Charlotte Smith’s petite body curled up like a prawn, incredulously looking at the handsome face above her, exclaiming angrily, "Robert Stephens, I just got my period!"
The man acknowledged with a nod, "I know."
He paused, glanced at her, and, pretentious as ever, said, "Is touching against the law?"
Touching, of course, isn’t against the law.
It was just that Charlotte feared this smooth-talking scoundrel in front of her might resort to force, fighting a battle of wits and courage.
"I’m hungry." She changed the subject.
Robert glanced at her, amusement playing in his dark eyes, seemingly aware that she was intentionally changing the topic. Still, he didn’t expose her and smoothly said, "Then kiss me now, and we’ll go out for dinner."
Charlotte’s eyelashes fluttered lightly, her gaze landing on the man’s shapely lips, and like a condemned person, she closed her eyes to kiss him.
When their lips touched, it felt as if a faint current flowed rapidly from their joined lips. Charlotte’s eyes widened slightly; looking up at Robert, she seemed to catch a hint of surprise in his eyes.
His gaze was deep, unknowingly filled with affection as he looked at her.
Charlotte slowly pushed back, unable to resist reaching up and gently touching her lips.
The man sat up from the edge of the bed, his lips seemed to curve, he raised his hand to stroke the top of her head, speaking in a warm voice, "Change your clothes, I’ll wait for you outside."
His tone carried a hint of joy.
For some reason, he seemed genuinely happy at that moment.
Charlotte went into the bathroom, unable to resist looking in the mirror to check her red lips.
That strange current was thrilling.
She was sure Robert had felt it too.

Robert had deliberately cleared his schedule, pushing tonight’s work to tomorrow to accompany her shopping.
Charlotte didn’t really have much interest in shopping. It was just that after having dinner together and coming out of the restaurant, being held gently by the man as they strolled among the crowds on the street like a couple, she felt a strange sensation in her heart.
It was as if they were just an ordinary couple in the world.
Charlotte thought, unable to resist looking up at the man above her.
From her angle, she could only see the elegant curve of his prominent jawline.
The man wore a black coat over his suit, his looks and demeanor too exceptional, and even in the dim light as they walked through the crowd, he stood out immediately.
In his embrace, she attracted many envious glances from both men and women.
How wonderful.
This man should indeed be outstanding, admired and respected for his entire life.
Like a god.
He should not be tainted by mortal dust.
Heaven had let her return to the past, perhaps to correct the mistakes she made back then. As long as she didn’t harm him, he could remain forever in the spotlight, unattainable and revered.
This was the life Robert Stephens deserved. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
And she just needed to wait for the day Robert grew tired of her and left the Stephens family.
The young Robert had once cherished a single rose, but only because he hadn’t seen enough women. He would eventually drive her away, just like he had mercilessly ordered someone to cut out the child from her womb.
This man has always been rational and indifferent.
