Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen-Chapter 645: True or False
Daisy Ginger’s breath hitched, "Isn’t Erin Ginger with Edward Stephens now?"
"..." Ryan Smith seemed to pause for a moment, his voice became a bit hoarse, "No. I couldn’t reach you and thought you took Erin away, but the guard said after you left, he ran out to find you alone. So, does this mean you weren’t together last night?"
Daisy’s mind buzzed and she nearly dropped her phone.
She couldn’t clearly hear what Ryan was saying anymore, and when she came to her senses, she was already frantically running out of the hotel.
Last night, she had a breakdown, wandering aimlessly alone for a long time. Now, taking a taxi from the hotel to the hospital, it took over twenty minutes.
Ryan was already waiting at the hospital entrance. Upon seeing her, he immediately walked toward her.
Daisy’s face was pale, her dark eyes filled with undeniable panic, and her voice trembled slightly, "Did you... check the surveillance?"
"Checked." Ryan’s voice was low as he led her to the surveillance room and asked the security to pull up the footage for Daisy to see.
The video rolled to show the scene from last night when Daisy rushed out of the ward.
After she ran out, Erin chased after her, but Daisy didn’t hear his calls and quickly disappeared from his sight.
The surveillance footage was very clear. Under the incandescent light, Erin’s expression was confused and at a loss, like a little animal abandoned by its owner. He stood there looking once towards Edward Stephens’s ward, then turned without hesitation and ran in Daisy’s direction.
The security pulled up another piece of footage.
It was a scene of Erin’s small figure sprinting into the night.
He wasn’t a child who would run off randomly. If he wasn’t truly panicked, he wouldn’t have run alone into the unfamiliar streets at night.
"Edward thought he was with you." Ryan explained to her, "We all thought the two of you were together."
Daisy looked at him, "Where is Edward Stephens now?"
Ryan hesitated for a moment and then told her, "Edward has already set off to look for him."
"..." Daisy pressed her lips slightly, then let out a soft laugh, somewhat sarcastically.
But she didn’t know at whom the sarcasm was aimed.
She didn’t pay any more attention to Ryan, just walked out of the guard room, heading in the direction Erin had left yesterday.
This place was remote, with only one road. On either side of the road, aside from a few residential houses, there were lush trees.
Erin wouldn’t be like George Stephens, who would go running into the bushes when he saw them. If he couldn’t find her, he’d definitely be somewhere visible and not as foolish as George.
But there was only one road here. If Erin didn’t find her, why didn’t he return the same way?
Did he encounter something, some danger, which is why he hasn’t come back yet?
Daisy took a few steps and felt as if her heart and stomach began to twist in pain. She leaned against a tree trunk and with a retch, vomited up all the breakfast she’d just eaten.
Her face was completely pale.
Seeing her like this, Ryan stepped forward to comfort her, "Daisy, the security here is good. Don’t worry, Edward has already sent people to look. Don’t be afraid."
"..." Daisy slowly lifted her head, supporting herself on the tree trunk. Her face was pale, but her eyes were red as she looked at Ryan and said, "Didn’t you say he was already terminally ill and near death?"
"..."
"I no longer know which of your words are true, which are false," she slowly stood up straight, looking at Ryan, her voice hoarse and dry, "Since I met you all, I haven’t had a single day of peace. I really no longer want to live a life of constant fear and anxiety."
