His Witch Queen-Chapter 153: Am a witch?!
In the deep night, Alice was currently sleeping in the embrace of Cyrus. She knew that he was in the deepest slumber.
Suddenly, her eyes opened to look at the ceiling of the tent, inside which they rested. Similarly, her head moved to her right to find that Cyrus’s eyes were purely closed.
Keeping her strict expression on her face, Alice slowly moved his hand from her body. It was done with her tender hands, to not jolt him awake at this time. Moreover, she even covered him with a blanket to make sure he wasn’t feeling cold.
Soon, Alice unzipped the tent from inside to step outside in the night. There were the fire sticks that were kept on either side. She was grateful because there was at least lightning around their camp area.
However, from her inner will, her mind currently doesn’t sit straight. As far as her gaze trace doesn’t belong to woods, Alice’s mind functioned totally differently. ’I need to go near...’ and with this thought, she covered herself with her shawl more protectively and then started to walk inside the forest.
At this stage, it appeared that her step wasn’t even managed by her own will. Her straight eyes without blinking in the evening showed her clear-cut determination. It didn’t draw her attention but surely made others’ hearts skip a beat in their mind.
As Alice walked further into the forest, despite the darkness, her legs were making their way through the pathway. It was all magical but at this spot, Alice’s mind didn’t think the same.
She only came to a place, to stop in the middle. Surrounded by the large trees all around, Alice could hear some faint voices. As if, something called her here. It was still believed, in her eyes. yet she managed to tame her heartbeat.
Subconsciously, she lifted her chin up to gaze at the moon that was shining bright in the sky. It was unusual as her eyes were all around, not blinking even once.
Taking a deep breath, Alice’s lips parted ways, "Who am I?"
"Am I seriously witch-like others described me?" Alice asked the moon, with her expression not shifting from her face. "First, it was General Ryan, then, Lady Sharon, and now, this old man. Why is everyone declaring me as the witch?"
All of them were all unaware that her hearing skills were far better than what they can imagine too. From behind the poles of the castle, she could remember how General Ryan told Cyrus that she could have been a witch. Even with Sharon, who had left the place. The words were enough to reach up to her ears.
As her eyes didn’t shift from the moon, her heart did skip a beat again, "I’m a witch..but how? Is my father a witch? No...No....Mother?"
"Mother, were you a witch?" she was too overboard with her emotions, finding it hard to learn the truth.
How can she not forget the chances that her urge to get a book regarding a witch increased rapidly? and then, her own appearance made her self doubt her identity. A witch....witches are hated everywhere.
She was different, her silvery hair was different. Until now, she imagined and took it to be normal because her mother must have the same color but, why was everyone referring to her as a witch?
The unusual powers rested in her heart and it wasn’t long enough to deny either. As her mind raced, Alice stared back at the moon that was in the sky.
"Mother...tell me...am I seriously witchlike others claim? But how? Why? and what will happen with them?"
"Will...Cyrus kill me too?"
....
The next day, as soon as the sunlight fell from the sky, everyone got up and got ready. This time, Alice and Cyrus decided to seek advice from the old man, named Kian.
Since he knew everything, there was a need to elaborate on his current position. It was more important to let him know how important it is for them to go to the Suzania Kingdom and to save King Vilas from the malicious intent of King Alone.
Walking back on the same pathway, both of them started their journey. About last night, neither of them talked. Nor was Cyrus aware when Alice went out of the tent and returned silently, without gaining his attention.
Currently, they were standing in front of the old man’s house again. This time, Cyrus had folded his hand and intertwingled his hand along with Alice’s. She gazed at his face and then passed him with an assured smile.
With this, Cyrus brought his hand upwards to knock on the door. Taking a deep breath, they heard the steps of the old man. And as soon as the door was opened by them, both of them saw that the old man was somewhat muddled.
"I wasn’t expecting that you’ll both come here today.."
"We have urgent work and limited time," Cyrus commented back and the old man gave them an understanding nod. "Come in then."
Taking the step inside the wooden house once again, both of them went again to sit near the couch. However, the soldier decided to stay at the front door to guard it. Neither of them objected and inside, there were only Prince Cyrus, Princess Alice, and Kian.
The old man brought them some hot water, which he offered them affectionately. Accepting the same, Alice passed Cyrus a look which was the sign to initiate the conversation required for them right now.
When Cyrus reached such a glance from his wife, he coughed again to gain the old man’s attention towards himself, "I was here to talk about something urgent."
"I’m hearing."
Cyrus stayed silent for some time before muttering, "We will need to leave for the Suzania Kingdom as soon as possible. Possibilities today. Our presence is highly required there." Cyrus told.
Exceed the old man Kian’s brows were curved, "Suzania KIngdom...Princess Alice’s kingdom?"
"Yes."
"What happened? I want details, Cyrus." The old man had turned serious. His aura changed dramatically, with the high alarm all around them. There was doubt that he was keenly interested to know the matter regarding the emergency.
As expected, Cyrus told him all about the clues he had got. How General Ryan advised him to show himself at the Suzaia Kingdom and take help from them to defeat the king Almen. Even Though, hesitate found it to be the hardest, he still held a ray of hope.
Nevertheless, the old man Kian understood things so easily. At last, his eyes swept across the couple who started ignoring him before saying, "I think it is best that you both go there and alarm King Vilas. I’m sure that if Princess Alice explains the matter, he will agree to help you in this."
"I’m pretty much sure that father will understand. when he knows that King Almen planned to kill him in such a way, he will side with Cyrus for sure." Alice tried to sum up.
Old man Kian had also agreed with them, giving both a clean chit to go ahead with the rest of the plan. However, the exact task was yet to come right now.
Initially, Cyrus was hesitant to raise the topic. But to assist him in this convincing task, Alice took the lead to open her mouth, "Since you already know about everything and are the key witness, we want you to please accompany us to my Kingdom."
"It will be our great honor to have you. And personally, at this point, you are the only one who can guide us on how to perform. We still aren’t aware of Cyrus’s powers. And it is extremely important to activate them and make Cyrus learn them. So that, whether it comes, he is well prepared and.. can fight with King Almen."
Alice didn’t beat around the bush. She was straight on heart, and this surprised the old man. He was taken back by her bluntness, lingering with sweetness. However, keeping his excitement on the other bay, the seemingly passed her a soft nod.
"I think...that will be great for us. Will act as an important asset for you, my Highness.." Hearing this form, suddenly the goosebumps appeared on their skin.,
Was he calling his highness to Cyrus? practically, this is the right way to address...after Prince Derek.
"Alright, we will leave in a few hours. Please pack your stuff because this journey will be...very long."
