His Witch Queen-Chapter 136: Rewards!
The night rested in the sky and the day was wasted otherwise.
The entire group didn’t march forward but decided to wait, to have their hands on the horses,as per what their Princesses said. She was hell of confident with her tricks, so it did equip the interest of the rest of the vampires too.
While some are still hardly finding enough trust in her, no one denied that she was still intelligent if they were able to get the horses tonight.
At this point, all the people were hiding behind the rocks. Cyrus assigned each soldier the place to stand. Furthermore, it was Alice who gave the soldiers different material of cloth, which will definitely attract the horses, at least a few of them.
Currently, Alice and Cyrus were the one who hid behind one rock. From behind, they were waiting for the man to bring his horses in the open area so that they could execute what they all thought.
"Are you sure he will bring her here?" It was Cyrus who questioned in the low voice, to which Alice gave him a solid nod, "I know what I have done. I’m pretty much sure he will come and...horses will come our way."
"But why will horses come our way? Aren’t they always loyal to their man?" Cyrus can’t help but wonder.
To this, Alice didn’t give any beneficial answer. She simply smiled at her own, trying to not appear too wicked with her plans and the tricks in the open handed way either.
Maintaining the absolute silence around them, none too spoke. The patience to hold themselves was pretty high. Moreover, their time was limited to begin with. Reaching the Ontex Empire on the exact time was hardly appearing to light their minds.
Yet, then Alice’s eyes caught the sight of the man, "There he is! He is coming with horses!"
"Hmm..." Cyrus’s behavior hardly changed but his eyes were intact at the man. He was ready to use the sword if needed to get their hands on the horses too. But pretty much, Alice was against it.
On top of that, her confidence in her tricks was getting him confused as well.
Since Alice was interested to guide this plan, he saw how man let the horses roam around in the open grassland. They were eating grasses, some paced around with the mighty steps. However, when Alice found the right time, her eyes went straight in the direction of the rest of the soldiers who were hidden.
Passing them the appropriate signal, on her order, all of the soldiers started to use the trick. The cloth was brought from the soldier’s pockets which they tried their best to bring near the horses.
While some were successful in doing so, some weren’t. Fortunately, until Alice found the clues, she saw at least three horses not present in the grassland anymore. A faint smile graced her mouth when she shifted her direction, "See! I told you, the horses will come our way..."
"But how?" Cyrus’s question we met with the transparent her side, who wasn’t interested to reveal her ways easily.
She simply got up from her place to walk to the other end, finding their group rady with the three horses whom she met in the stable today.
"Well done everyone!" Alice passed the appreciation. She walked closer to the horses to massage their sculpt light with the joy clingy in her heart. "You were too obedient..don’t you?" Alice muttered under her breath, unable for anyone to listen.
Her interactions with the horses made them foul but Cyrus didn’t react to his wife’s behavior. He simply felt his shoulder getting high up at her methods, where Shane came by his side, "Prince,we have the three horses. But now, do you want us to start our travel tonight or in the daylight tomorrow?"
"We don’t have enough time left. Ontex Empire needs our time and we can’t risk anything on our way to it."
Cyrus’s words deliberately suggested that they need to start their way tonight itself. Neither did anyone rebel since their entire day was washed, all because they didn’t have the horses by then.
The words didn’t leave space for anyone and without the delay, the horses were taken up by free people. Initially it was Princess Alice and General Shane. While Cyrus knew he could, he preferred to walk by the rest of the soldiers to make sure the danger didn’t lie. So, the last horse was taken up by Simon.
Even though it was still night, the pathy roads didn’t scare Alice anymore. She held the horse’s string too tight to fall. Another happy and joyous smile had spread all across her face. She was delighted that they could progress further without any major problem on their way.
However, no one had any idea what blunder was created back in the Empire, since their absence was already located by them..

With the anger rushing inside King Almen’s brain, he struck the table with his loud bang. "What do you mean that they aren’t in the kingdom!?"
"They weren’t in their chamber, His highness. We asked others and they also told us they haven’t seen them. We tried to search in the towns too, but there is no news about them."
It was another soldier who gave him details.
Genner Ryan stood beside King Almen and Prince Alex on his left. Yet the shock didn’t leave their faces for a second either.
King Almen’s furrowed eyes didn’t change its shape, "How is that possible for them to escape without us knowing!? And why will they run away like this!"
"We don’t know Hishighness..."
"General Ryan!" King Almen turned around to look at his general, with the fury residing in those eyes like any bizarre, "Do you have any hints about what is happening around?"
"Absolutely not, My Highness. If I knew..I wouldn’t have let them escape." General Ryan maintained a stoic face, which didn’t bring any scope of revealing anything. Moreover, the panic had risen to everyone’s heart.
It was Lady Aura and Lady Ashley, who stood at the other side with the concern written on their faces.’Where can they both go?’ This question bursted everyone’s brain for the longest time to notify another clue for now or then anyhow.
Both the ladies passed each other the similar worried expressions before changing to look back at the King,
At the same time, King Almen’s eyes shone with murderous splint. He was ready to take anyone’s life if needed, to get his hands on Cyrus and Princess Alice.
"They both...knew something beforehand for sure!" King Almen spoke, and it made prince Alex turn around to look at his father, "Do you even understand, what are you saying, father? how can anyone know about anything?"
But before this, King Almen raised his eyes. He saw the ladies standing and then, ordered all of them to leave the room.It was the time for the men of the Empire to have a discussion on the various urgent topics.
With a lot of resistance on their face, Lady Ashley as well as Lady Aura left the room. They were unhappy but this didn’t mean they disobeyed the orders of the King because of their curiosity to know more right now.
After the men were left all alone in the room, did King Almen finally take off and get up from his throne.He brought his shawl behind him to mutter, "I think we all know what that means."
"Alice was supposed to be sent to the priest’s today, so that he can start his experiment on her. Unfortunately she isn’t and.... we will have sent a telegram to the priest that she can’t be sent today." King Almen passed the order and it gained the nod from all of the members present out there.
"But father, how can Cyrus vanish in just one night? I remember seeing him last night too, and so did Alice." Prince Alex’s mind bursted with crackers.
Knowing his brother too well, this wasn’t the idea he supposed. Moreover how can they easily escape, when their plan wasn’t revealed among the soldiers so viberly either.
The King didn’t respond to this but this time, General Ryan stepped ahead, "Any other orders, His Highness? they aren’t here but that doesn’t mean..."
"You are correct, General Ryan. They aren’t here but this doesn’t mean they have gone somewhere far either. They can’t escape because, no matter what, Cyrus is a vampire. A vampire like him... can’t go to any human land either." King Almen’s eyes radiated.
His smile indeed at the malicious thought that gave him utmost interior satisfaction, ’Cyrus, run as much as you want but you will still come under my control...’
Turning around, King’s gaze fell upon the other soldier whom he asked, "Are we sure that they both aren’t in our Empire either?"
"Certain. Our most trusted sources have served us with this information, His Highness." The soldiers courtesy answers.
"Then, send the message to the rest of the kingdom about the whereabouts of the Prince. Ask, King Almen is looking forward to having his hands on both of them and if any Kingdom assists us, there will be a great reward."
