His Toxic Addiction-Chapter 331: PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE
Chapter 331: PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE
After the conversation with Jocelyn, Arissa smiled at her phone for a while. Her mood was so bright this morning and she believed the outfit she was putting on could be a part of the reason why.
Her waist felt sore and she intended to have a little exercise after going through her phone. With a few random tags on social media and more unuseful messages, she intended to drop her phone when something caught her attention again.
Her brows shot up when she saw her mother’s name among the texts she was about to clear.
She wanted to ignore the text but as the saying goes, curiosity kills the cat and that was the same for Arissa’s case.
The text was an eyesore to her but still, she opened the text and read from it. It read; (Can we talk, please?)
Anger immediately burned through her seeing the message. She scoffed and looked at Nicklaus’s ceiling in amazement.
"Can we talk, please?" she repeated what the message read to herself.
Her father wasn’t successful in killing her, could it be that her mother wanted to be successful in doing that?
Her back hairs stood erect at that thought and she immediately drooped her phone back on the lampstand and took in quick breaths.
Arissa laid back on the bed to cool her mind down. She woke up with happiness but after seeing her mother text and remembering she would have died, it was strong enough to spoil her whole mood.
She heard the door knob turn and Nicklaus’s footsteps resounded as he walked towards her.
Arissa tried to raise her face and look at her but that wasn’t possible. Her mother exhausted her happiness and left her with moodiness.
Nicklaus dropped the tray of food he came in with on one of his lampstands and climbed up on the bed. The moment Arissa felt him climbing onto the bed, she quickly shut her eyes.
She wasn’t in the mood for talking and she hoped when he saw her fast asleep, he would go away.
Nicklaus smiled when he got up to her. He stared down at her and without a second thought, he leaned in and pressed deep kisses on her cheek.
Arissa’s eyes widened from her fake slumber. His action caught her off guard and in the next second, she found herself smiling.
"Good morning, love," Nicklaus greeted. He laid behind her and drew her into himself.
Arissa blushed at the title and the intimate hold caused her heart to leap.
She turned to him. Staring at his dazzling, godlike featured face, her mood was back to happy, more than how she had woken up.
She placed a kiss on his jaw and stared up into his eyes. Her hand reached for his face and her fingers caressed him.
"Did you sleep?" she asked lowly letting the feeling of his soft face relieve her from the stress her parents came with.
Nicklaus rolled a lock of her hair around his finger before replying, "I did,"
She smiled, "How was it?"
"Better than last night," he replied.
Arissa’s lips formed an unintentional pout, "I always don’t see you when I wake up," she complained.
Nicklaus felt cherished when she made that complaint. His heart swelled and the special feeling she gave him with her words increased her place in his heart.
"I guess you would be hungry so I left to make breakfast, with Mother," he added the last side about Mrs. Wyatt so Arissa might not have to think twice before eating.
"Oh! Thank you," she told him genuinely and it was at that moment her nose caught the scent of the food scent lingering in the air.
"You did not wake up to eat last night," Nicklaus said taking his arms off her waist. He sat up and helped her to do the same.
"You must be so hungry now," he said, arranging the table before her after she was properly seated.
Arissa was speechless as if thunderstruck. She stayed frozen, watching him with no words leaving her mouth.
She does not even know how to react to this unexpected care and... Should she include, love?
Why should he confuse her this way? Or could he perhaps still be working in line with the deal they had? If this was linked to the deal, he should stop all of this. They confuse her a lot.
Nicklaus raised his face to her and when he noticed she was spaced out, he pinched her cheek softly and that did the magic.
"What are you thinking about?" he questioned, filling her glass with water for her.
Arissa smiled, "I was lost in how nice you smell," It wasn’t the most genuine reply but she did love how he smelled. Ever since that night, she met him.
Nicklaus paused and then he dropped the glass jug on the tray and stared into her eyes. "Is this the real you?" he decided to ask.
Her sweetness this morning kept on buying him over. He loves the compliment but does not know what to reply to her with.
Arissa thinned her lips and picked up the glass of water on the tray, "I think," she brought the glass to her lips and began to sip from it.
Nicklaus blinked at her, "Thank you," he managed to appreciate her words before tearing his eyes off her.
Unable to look up at her, he fixed his eyes on the tray and instructed. "Here, eat up while I mix your water for a bath."
Arissa dropped the glass, "Let’s eat together," she suggested.
Nicklaus shook his head, "Eat up, and let me set up your bath. I will eat when I’m done with you," he told her.
Nicklaus did not wait a second more, he stood up from the bed and went into the bathroom and just like before, Arissa could only speechlessly watch him as he left.
