His soul-Chapter 98: Meet again
Until lunchtime came Gina still didn’t want to talk to Francia, even though Francia had apologized to Gina many times.
"Gina come on, I already apologized. Are you still not willing to forgive me?" Francia whined pitifully as she spoke in front of Gina who was standing in front of the cash register.
Gina rolled her eyes, it was obvious that she was angry.
"Ginaaaa..."
"Welcome." Gina immediately greeted a customer who came with a smile.
Francia stomped her feet on the floor quite hard, she was annoyed at Gina who would rather greet customers than answer her words. Actually, Gina is not wrong if she is angry, because Francia has lied. She didn’t keep her promise to Gina and Gina really didn’t like being lied to.
It turns out that the purpose of Francia going with Brandon is not just for a vacation, but the two of them decided to get married in Brandon’s hometown. And Gina was the last person to know the happy news, that’s why she was annoyed at Francia who was considered unfaithful to her.
"I also didn’t think Brandon would marry me, Gina. I really didn’t have any thoughts in that direction, while we were enjoying the trip, Brandon suddenly proposed to me," Francia said slowly from the chair trying to explain to Gina who was still busy calculating herself. money in the cash register that has not been finished since earlier. "I know we’ve only seen each other for a few days, but somehow I already believe in him. Moreover, I’ve fallen deeply in love with Bela, that’s why I agreed when Brandon immediately asked me to marry him in his hometown, Gina."
Gina moved her eyes to look at Francia.
"I just want to be happy, Gina." Francia’s voice was hoarse as she spoke.
Realizing that the boss was about to cry, Gina couldn’t bear it either, after taking a deep breath Gina then ended her futile activity and put all the money she had been playing with back into the cash register.
"Drink, I don’t want to go to jail for making a policeman’s wife cry," Gina said quietly as she held out a mineral water to Francia, who was already downcast.
Francia looked up at Gina who was currently standing in front of her.
"My hands are sore, madam. Quickly get this drinking water or I’ll throw it into-"
"You have an impatient temper!!!" Francia said curtly as she snatched the bottle of mineral water from Gina’s hand quickly.
Gina chuckled. "Come on, at least I’m not a liar."
"I’m not a liar, Gina!!!"
"Oh yeah? If you weren’t lying, why did you tell me today? Why didn’t you tell me since the first day you were married, times have become sophisticated. You can send a message or email if you don’t want to talk to me directly."
Francia immediately closed her lips, arguing with Gina was the thing she hated the most because she never won. Gina is always very clever to reverse every word she says. Because she couldn’t bear to see Francia sad, Gina then extended her hand towards Francia.
"Congratulations on your marriage, boss."
"Gina.."
Francia’s words stopped because Gina had hugged her tightly, Francia’s tears broke when Gina congratulated her.
"I’m happy, Gina. I’m very happy, my dream to have a normal family has finally been achieved," Francia said quietly between her tears.
Gina bit her lower lip tightly to keep herself from crying when she heard Francia’s words.
"Especially now that I have Bela, she’s really a sweet child. I’m really grateful to meet Brandon that afternoon. God has been really good to me, Gina."
Gina nodded. "Yes, God is good."
Francia tightened her arms on Gina, she didn’t know that currently Gina was still in mourning after her grandmother’s death. Gina doesn’t want to tell Francia her problem because she doesn’t want to ruin Francia’s current happiness. As long as Francia shared her happiness that Gina was really such a good listener, she didn’t interrupt a word.
Francia’s chatter only stopped when a customer came, after being closed for days the old customers of their chicken shop started arriving. Not a few of them protested why the shop was closed for too long, finally as the boss Francia explained everything.
"Finally it’s done," Francia said with relief when she had finished cleaning the shop where all the chicken and fries had been sold out since three in the afternoon.
Gina pursed her lips. "Of course, many customers buy more than three servings."
"I consider this a blessing and my wedding gift then," said Francia quickly. "Today I have dinner with Brandon and his friends, you’re coming, Gina."
"Thanks, but I can’t."
Francia immediately put her apron roughly on the chair. "Why not, come on, let’s celebrate my wedding, Gina. Brandon’s friends who are still single will also come, if you want I can-"
"Grandma just died three days ago, Francia." Gina cut Francia’s words quickly, her eyes welling with tears as she discussed her grandmother’s death.
"What the hell," Francia shrieked in surprise. "What happened to her?"
Gina was silent for a while before finally telling what happened to her grandmother.
"Jesus, is that sure an ordinary accident? Not sabotage?"
"I don’t know, I can’t think, Francia. When Grandma arrived she was already in the coffin and no one was talking about the accident, Francia," Gina answered hoarsely.
Francia immediately hugged Gina tightly. "Oh Gina, I’m sorry for your loss."
"It’s ok, I’m fine."
Francia tightened her arms on Gina, although Gina didn’t cry but Francia could feel the sadness that Gina was hiding. As a fellow woman Francia can understand Gina well.
Francia had just let go of Gina’s arms when her husband arrived, after making small talk for a few minutes they finally separated. Francia and Brandon left by car and Gina took the bus as usual to go home.
The journey home seemed faster for Gina, because it was still noon and the roads were still light. In less than 30 minutes, Gina finally arrived at the bus stop near her family’s house. Just past the gate, Gina’s steps stopped when she saw some strange men coming out of her house. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
"There are still many guests, apparently," Gina said in her heart, Gina slowly closed her eyes while touching her left chest. "There are many people who love you, Grandma."
Selena and Vanessa’s laughter sounded loud and made Gina immediately open her eyes, Gina looked at Selena who was standing in front of the door smiling broadly at someone who was still in the house. A handsome man with a sturdy body that finally made Gina open her mouth wide in disbelief.
"M-marco.."
