His soul-Chapter 569: Dream come true
When everyone joined the breakfast, Massimo told Diego current condition that last night he had surgery on two of his ribs and had problems. At first Massimo was worried that Selena and Rosa would overreact when they found out that his older brother had to end up in the hospital, but Massimo’s worries disappeared when he saw that Selena and Rosa looked normal, neither of them even showed the shocked expression that Julian showed.
It was clear that Selena and Rosa had such great disappointment in Diego.
"If Diego is still in the hospital, it means that the investigation process will be temporarily stopped and the police officers will take care of Vanessa’s problem first," said Massimo slowly answering Gina’s questions regarding the legal process that Diego had to accept.
"So Vanessa will be the first to be processed?"
Massimo nodded slowly. "Yes Dad, that’s what I heard from Martin."
"Good then at least the cops aren’t wasting their time," said Julian flatly. "Anyone who has been guilty deserves to be punished, especially if that person has killed the person who has given her a decent life for decades."
Rosa and Selena again did not react to his father’s words and the indifferent attitude of Selena and Rosa made Gina, who had been silent for a while, smile a little. Gina could understand how disappointed her sisters were feeling right now, especially since last night the two of them had just met their mother who seemed so sided with Diego.
"And today is Vanessa’s first trial, does anyone want to come to court?"
"First trial?"
Massimo nodded his head in response to Gina’s words. "Yeah, does anyone want to come? Selena... Rosa?"
"Today we have another schedule," said Rosa quickly.
"Yeah, we already made an appointment with someone else."
"What promise?" asked Gina curiously.
Rosa lifted her face to look at Gina. "Patricia, we have a schedule to accompany Patricia around the city of Barcelona. Yesterday Patricia said she wanted to visit some of the places on her must-visit list, which she made when she was fifteen."
"Wow, fifteen years already making such a list?"
"Barcelona is her favorite city, that’s why she really wants to visit those places. And we can’t possibly cancel the appointment to accompany her around the city of Barcelona, especially since she’s a guest who has come all the way from Los Angeles," added Selena quietly in response to Rosa’s words.
"Okay, accompany the girl. Treat her as best you can," said Julian slowly. "You don’t have to come to the court if you don’t want to come, Daddy won’t force you. It’s your right, Daddy’s sure you two can know what’s right without Daddy talking."
"Thanks Daddy," Rosa and Selena replied at the same time.
Just finished talking, Rosa’s cell phone suddenly rang, Rosa immediately took her cell phone out of her pocket. Her smile immediately widened when she saw who the person had called this early.
Before anyone could ask, Rosa then raised her cellphone in the air to show the rest of the family. "See, Patricia’s call. Looks like she knows we’re talking about it."
"Come on, let’s go, don’t make us wait too long," Selena said quickly, wiping her lips with a handkerchief.
Rosa nodded quickly, using her left hand Rosa grabbed a glass of water and drank it without a trace before finally picking up Patricia’s call and engaging in quite a pleasant conversation with a girl who was not much different from her age. Both a young doctor making prose gets to know Patricia faster, last night when they were on their way to the hotel, Rosa and Selena finally told Patricia some personal things in their family. Rossa and Selena also shared how complicated the relationship between Gina and Massimo had been for the past seven years.
After hearing all this Patricia felt so sorry for having paid attention to a husband who loved his wife so much that she finally decided not to continue her desire to approach Massimo. And Patricia’s wise decision made Selena and Rosa happy. Selena, who once also had the desire to be by Massimo’s side, also felt happy when Patricia made that decision, although until now Selena is still touched by Massimo’s charm several times but she decided to suppress that feeling deep in the deepest corner of her heart. Selena didn’t want to hurt Gina who had gone through so much bitterness throughout her life because her mother had usurped Gina’s mother position in the Sanders family.

"What do you mean Daddy?" asked Massimo.
"Every time Charlie comes to the police station to follow the investigation process carried out on Vanessa, Vanessa continues to curse and blame everyone. She also gives inappropriate words to Rosa and Selena who are considered to have betrayed them because they chose to be by Daddy’s side. Vanessa said they did that because they felt it was unsafe in the Sanders house. That’s a defense she’s always said before the police. And honestly at heart glad Selena and Rosa didn’t come to court today, at least the two kids didn’t have to hear painful sentences spoken by their biological mother. A mother who never gave sincere love to Selena and Rosa because she was too focused on her first child, which she wanted to make as an heir," answered Julian at length.
Gina squeezed the hem of the dress she was wearing, Gina refrained from saying what she had heard from Rosa in person last night. Gina doesn’t want the sadness and disappointment that Rosa and Selena are currently experiencing to disturb her father.
"Well, let’s not talk about it anymore, the important thing is that Selena and Rosa have other things to do at the moment. So Daddy doesn’t have to worry anymore," said Julian quickly, trying to change the atmosphere.
"But Daddy’s going?" Gina asked quietly, stopping Julian from getting up from his chair.
Julian smiled. "Daddy has to come, Gina. Daddy has to see what punishment she gets for all the bad things she has done all this time. Daddy wants to tell your Grandma and Grandpa that Daddy has managed to find justice for them both."
"Daddy..."
Julian, who didn’t want to be carried away by the emotional atmosphere any longer then left the dining table to immediately go to court with Charlie who had been preparing for ten minutes.
"Everything will be fine, you don’t have to worry. I’ve put a special person to look after Daddy in court, so if something untoward happens to Daddy, Daddy will quickly get treatment," said Massimo softly while squeezing Gina’s hand which was in his hand.
Gina squeezed Massimo’s hand again. "I just want to live in peace with my family, Massimo. Even though our family is not complete right now, at least I can still feel the warmth that remains. That’s why I want to stay healthy, keep laughing with my children and grandchildren."
Massimo pursed his lips, Massimo knew that Gina longed for a simple life with her family. And because of that, Gina finally ended up as his wife seven years ago.
"Your dream will come true, believe me. You will see your family smiling happily, don’t worry. I promise you to make sure it happens, Selena and Rosa are also my sister now, I will definitely take care and make sure they get a decent life. According to your expectations ."
Hearing Massimo’s words made the smile on Gina’s face that had faded now reappear, Gina slowly grabbed Massimo’s body and hugged him tightly. "I’m tired of all the trouble that goes on in my family, Massimo. I really don’t want all the Sanders family property, if Rosa and Selena want they can take as much as they want. Gina let go of Massimo’s arms and sat up straight facing Massimo. "Yes, if that’s for the best. After all, my goal in coming to Barcelona the first time was to find Daddy, to find my biological father as instructed by my mother in her will.
