His soul-Chapter 487: Make amends

Julian turned off his cell phone with shaking hands. His eyes were bloodshot, showing how angry he was at the moment. Meanwhile, Selena, who had been preparing for the worst for her father since thirty minutes ago, looked pale when she realized her father’s anger.

"Daddy..." Selena called hoarsely. "Daddy all right?"

Thirty minutes ago, Rosa called him and surprisingly what he heard was not Rosa’s voice but Gina’s. At first Julian thought that he had saved Gina’s number wrong with Rosa’s number, but after he heard Rosa’s voice continuing to speak with Gina, Julian finally realized that Rosa had contacted him on purpose without Gina’s knowledge. Rosa wanted Julian to join in on their conversation.

"Daddy ...."

"Get the car, Selena. We’ll follow Gina and Rosa at the hospital," said Julian quietly, interrupting Selena’s words.

"Don’t Daddy, didn’t Gina say..."

"Selena," said Julian softly. "Daddy will live long, Daddy will walk you and Rosa down the aisle. Daddy will also raise Gina’s child, so don’t worry. Trust Daddy."

Serena nodded slowly. "Diego, shouldn’t we tell him about this, Dad?"

Julian shook his head slowly. "Diego is currently busy taking care of the company, don’t break his concentration. Later when Diego is done with work, Daddy will tell him himself."

"Okay, dad. I understand."

Julian smiled, with a slightly sore chest Julian got up from the sofa and immediately walked to the front yard where the car was now finished being prepared. With Selena hugging his arm, Julian got into a metallic white limousine.

While on the way to the hospital where Gina was, Julian gave Charlie many instructions. Starting from increasing the number of guards at the main door of his house, to asking the police for help to lend members to guard his house. Although it sounds very excessive if it involves members of the police, Charlie does not dispute his master’s orders. As someone who knew Julian very well, Charlie knew why Julian had asked the police for help. It seemed that Julian wanted to cut off all access for Massimo to approach his house. "I’m sick, Rosa."

"Nauseous?"

Gina nodded slowly. "Yeah, all the food I eat will come back out."

"Oh Jesus, so what have you been eating all this time?"

"Yogurt and Dried Fruit."

Rosa’s eyes opened wide at Gina’s words. "Yogurt and Dried Fruit?"

"Yes."

Selena who managed to read the situation immediately approached Rosa and asked her out of Gina’s treatment room, Selena wanted to give Gina time with their father. As soon as Selena and Rosa left the room, Julian slowly stepped towards the bed, approaching Gina who had started to shed tears.

Gina shook her head slowly, trying to keep her tears from coming out even though her face was already flooded with tears.

Julian stopped in his tracks when he reached the side of the bed, right beside Gina. Julian’s eyes narrowed when he saw Gina’s blood flowing up, through the IV tube attached to his left hand. Julian gently grabbed Gina’s left hand, lowering it from Gina’s face.

"Your blood is rising, honey. Put your hands down," said Julian softly, very gently and lovingly.

Gina bit her lower lip hard, trying not to cry.

"Don’t be afraid, honey. Daddy’s here, you’re not alone, honey," said Julian again. "Daddy won’t let you bear all this trouble alone."

"Daddy...sob...sorry..."

Julian’s chest felt tight when he heard the apology that escaped Gina’s lips, his heart felt like it was being squeezed from the inside. It hurts so much to see Gina apologize, even though everything that is happening right now is not her fault.

Julian gently then embraced Gina’s body tightly into his arms, the tears that Gina had been holding in for a long time finally broke. Being in her father’s arms made Gina unable to contain herself, Gina burst into tears. Take out all the contents of her heart that the past few days tormented her.

"Shhh... don’t cry dear, don’t waste your tears for that person. He doesn’t deserve you to cry," said Julian hoarsely, trying to hold back his tears from falling even though his eyes were already filled with tears.
